![Last night we launched 72carlyle with a packed event of more than 700 guest and a line around the block. I laugh at myself because real estate events are never this packed but then again, it’s a hot building and a hot location, smack in the center of Miami Beach. In my speech last night a jokingly renamed the building from 72 Carlyle to Studio 72 (get it?). And with pricing mostly between $1.8M and $5M with beautiful Italian finishes by pierolissoni and 360 views, we have a winner on our hands. ![After years of dreaming and searching… we found it! A 13th-century chapel ruin perched on a cliff with 40 acres of olive trees, overlooking the golden hills of Montepulciano in Italy.
This is the first time I’m sharing this, as we closed on it last year and now deep in planning and permits — a sacred place that’s ours to protect, to restore, to love back to life.
It will take many years as you can imagine, and we’ll do it slowly, with care and humility. I really want enjoy the process… building a 13,000 sqft house. Every stone, every beam, every arch deserves respect. And surrounding it we’ll create our dream house.
Thank you to the incredible local community for welcoming us with such open arms. To the mayor, the architects, the lawyers, the farmers, the neighbors… I feel deeply grateful to one day call this place home. Will give updates on progress as we go along ❤️⛪️🔔🇮🇹🍝]()

![A week I’ll never forget — just me and my Milla. Paris, Versailles, Iceland on our yearly special trip… but mostly just us, side by side. Her little hand in mine, her big questions, her loud laughs, her soft moments… this age isn’t the easiest… I think she is trying to become herself without me, yet she is not ready yet. She’s growing so fast, and yet on this trip, time slowed down. I saw the world through her eyes again — wonder, beauty, mischief. What a gift to be her dad. ![Thank you to Architectural Digest for today’s feature, with photography by Douglas Friedman. Our New York pad is my secret portal—and now I’m sharing it for the first time. I reimagined it as something not quite of this world: blush pink velvet, soft blue walls—everything hushed, so the art could speak.
I never saw myself as a serious collector. Maybe I felt I didn’t deserve it, or had seen too many great collections through my clients. But mine isn’t curated—it’s instinctual. I’ve traveled the world letting my gut guide me, from auction to studio. I negotiated the Basquiat in a backroom in Paris. I choose pieces that won’t let me walk away. Like Tracey Emin and her protégé Laura Footes—because you know how I love strong women.
It all began with a massive Pat Passlof in the living room—a firestorm of color by the only student of Willem de Kooning. Her canvas became the heartbeat of the home. The walls filled from there. In my bedroom: Warhol, Basquiat, Klimt, Dali, Emin, de Kooning, George Condo—and works by Rocco Ritchie, Madonna’s son and now a friend. His mother once loved Basquiat; now her son hangs beside him. The circle turns. Milton Resnick hangs beside a smaller Passlof—husband and wife reunited. And two towering forces: Joan Mitchell and Gerhard Richter.
The kids aren’t really allowed here—but there’s a yellow bedroom just in case, with a Rashid Johnson of a starry sky watching over them.

My greatest lover has always been New York. I tell Derek that all the time. Maybe because we live mostly in Miami now, I need New York more—especially old New York. The gritty one. The one these artists walked through: Warhol’s Factory, just north. De Kooning, a few blocks east. Passlof lived right here, among fierce women carving space in the Village. Now they live here again—together.]()
