![📍Kibako, Oxford Circus
This weekend, we were got to try the 5 course menu which includes their viral ‘KIBAKO box’ with a selection of 9 curated dishes. I have included my thoughts on the 5 courses below but please do check out their website for full information on this delish menu.
Course 1: The takoyaki was perfectly creamy and delicious way to start this experience off. We also had the chance to try the fresh oysters with a house sauce which was paired with a glass of champagne. While, I personally am not the biggest fan of oysters, I highly recommend trying the oysters - the house sauce really elevates the taste of the oyster.
Course 2: The signature KIBAKO box was a feast for the eyes and a yummy treat! The 9 dishes were paired with fresh wasabi and 2-year aged soy sauce. This course was definitely my favourite. The freshness of the fish and quality really came through and KIBAKO do an amazing job of letting the quality of their ingredients speak for themselves.
Course 3: Unagi and Parmesan Maki Rolls were a delightful match - I honestly did not expect the combination to work but it’s truly a match made in heaven!
Course 4: Unfortunately I don’t eat beef but staff were happy to accommodate. My friend who tried the wagyu however could not fault it. The black cod was extremely moorish and I could truly have an entire dish of this. This course was a perfect way to finish off a lovely course of savoury dishes.
Course 5: We had a lovely posset with raspberry to finish off this lovely meal. It was my first time trying a posset in all honesty but this has definitely set the bar quite high.
You will also find lovely alcoholic pairings like the cherry blossom cocktails and sake pairings which are exceptional.
Our overall experience was exceptional and we will definitely be back again. The team at KIBAKO are welcoming and gave us plenty of time between courses.

If you love Thai food, definitely add Sticky Mango to your list 😋 We tried the tasting menu which comes at a reasonable £50 per person for 9 yummy dishes to share. If you’re unsure of what to order this is a great taster of a few yummy items on their menu. The Mamak BBQ Chicken and Indonesian Style Seabass were favourites.

This spot is super affordable, and with such a beautiful view, you can’t go wrong.
The pasta itself is more on the al-dente side so it completely depends on your preference of how you liked your pasta cooked.
Their twist on the classic tiramisu was unreal!! You’ll have to try this one.
The service was mediocre, otherwise not too bad.
Definitely recommend this spot for nibbles and cocktails.

Beyond Boba (beyondbobauk) is an authentic and new bubble tea spot in Ilford Lane, and I couldn’t be more excited about their opening.
✨Lychee Fruit Tea (with popping lychee pearls)

Their frozen tea was unbelievably refreshing and addictive.

Between four people, this will more than fill you up!! The platter had around 72 pieces of authentic of both maki and nigiri. We definitely were spoilt for choice.
My most favourite dish was the Kani Kurokke🤩. I’ve been dreaming about it since.
The staff were so lovely and accommodating, I simply can’t imagine better service.
