And today, of all days, we’re reminded of how fragile life is. September 11th will always mark a time when our country was shaken, but also when we came together. With the added weight of this week’s tragedies, what our country needs most is kindness. It costs absolutely nothing, and it’s something I remind my students of daily. I’m not about to spend one of my only 2 days off cooking all day. That just isn’t for me — and I’m guessing it isn’t for you either.

Here’s what I do instead (in 10 minutes flat ):

✨ I keep 2–3 dinners on repeat for 2–3 weeks — less decision fatigue, more sanity.

✨ I eat the same breakfast every school morning — frees up brain power for my workout + getting ready instead of standing in the kitchen wondering what to eat.

✨ I plan meals protein first — everything else falls into place.

✨ I always plan a “leftovers or everyone’s on their own” night (because real life).

✨ My husband has one night in charge of dinner (because I don’t remember signing a contract saying “What’s for dinner?” was only my job 😂).

✨ And once the plan is done? I order all my groceries for the week. That way, everything’s at my house and ready to go — no more last-minute store runs on the way home. 🙌

That’s it. Done in 10 minutes. Stress gone. Week set ✅.

My mood.

Growing up, I never learned how to take care of my body.

I struggled with weight and body image for as long as I can remember.

But after I became a mom, I realized… my kids were watching.
