Financial sabotage doesn’t always look like maxing out credit cards or making huge mistakes with money.

More often, it hides in the everyday habits we don’t question like…

Delaying financial decisions until it’s ‘too late’, missing opportunities to grow or protect your money.

Saying yes to others whether that’s family, friends, or colleagues at the expense of your own financial security.

Avoiding your bank account because it feels uncomfortable to face what’s really there.

The danger is subtle.

These patterns feel harmless in the moment, but they slowly chip away at your confidence and keep you stuck in the same cycle.

The way out isn’t about being perfect with money.

It starts with noticing the emotions behind your choices. Are they driven by fear? By avoidance? By the need for approval?

Once you see the pattern, you can break it. And that change opens the door to real financial freedom built on awareness, confidence, and control.

⭐️ What advice would you give to someone struggling with financial sabotage?

One of the biggest mistakes couples make?

Waiting until the rent is due to talk about money. By then, it’s already stressful and resentment builds fast.

Here’s how to change it…

- Start early: “I want us on the same page with money. Should we split 50/50, or based on income?”
- Talk goals: “Do we want a joint savings account, or keep things separate and just share the bills?”
- Set boundaries: Decide what’s joint and what’s personal spending.
- Keep it ongoing: schedule regular money dates so it’s not a one-time convo.

Moving in together isn’t about micromanaging, it’s also about building trust and protecting the relationship from money stress down the road.

⭐️ Let me know - did you have this conversation before moving in, or after? What worked for you?

How do we budget if one of us hates budgets?

It’s a question I hear from couples all the time.

The reality is most couples don’t fight about money itself… they fight because of different styles.

One’s the spreadsheet lover - they love tracking every penny.

The other may be the dreamer - they’d rather focus on the big picture and the life they’re building.

Does this sound familiar?

That clash creates so much tension but it doesn’t always have to.

Here’s what I recommend to clients:

Split the roles → the numbers person tracks bills + balances, the goal setter sets goals + priorities.

Schedule a monthly money date → 15 minutes over coffee or wine. No spreadsheets required, just a check-in.

Change the focus → talk about what you want money to do for you, not just where it went.

When both partners have a role, the budget stops feeling like a constant battle. Instead, it becomes teamwork and that’s where trust grows.

‘Why don’t I feel rich, even though I earn a lot?’

It’s something I hear from high-earning clients all the time.

Here’s why…

Feeling wealthy isn’t just about your salary or the numbers in your account.

Our brains calibrate wealth by comparison to our neighbours, colleagues, and what we see online. Add in habituation (when ‘a lot’ quickly becomes the new normal), and suddenly even a big paycheck doesn’t feel like enough.

So how do you break the cycle?

- Give every raise or bonus a purpose before you spend it.
- Commit half of any increase straight into savings etc.
- That way, every time your income grows, your future grows too not just your lifestyle.

Wealth isn’t about constantly chasing more it’s about how much you keep and how intentionally you grow it. That’s where the feeling of wealth comes from.

❔#Do you feel richer after a raise, or does it disappear into lifestyle creep?

2 in 5 couples keep financial secrets from each other.

And the silence costs more than you think.

That’s why I recommend a regular money date…

- Go somewhere neutral (not your kitchen table).
- Talk openly about where you’re at.
- Share your financial goals.

Because when you’re on the same page, money becomes a team sport.

And trust becomes the strongest currency you have.

Would you try a money date?

How does money really make you feel?

It’s not the kind of thing we’re taught to ask ourselves.

But until you know that answer, every ‘money goal’ will feel harder than it needs to.

When I work with clients, we start here:
→ Why does money make you anxious?
→ Where did that feeling come from?
→ What’s one small change that would help you feel safer and more in control?

It could be as simple as setting up a savings account and moving a small amount each month.

Because these little steps turn into big changes

And they always start with awareness.

Most people think their savings problem is discipline.

It’s not.

It’s an awareness one.

When you know exactly what you’re saving for and it’s something that lights you up, the motivation takes care of itself.

“I want my own business in 2 years.”
“I want a 6-month safety net so I can step away from a difficult relationship”

Those goals make saving easier because it’s not about depriving yourself, it’s about providing yourself with direction for the future.

Your money isn’t just sitting in an account.
It’s building the life you actually want.

So… what’s the real reason you want this money?

‘I earn well… but it still doesn’t feel like enough.’

If you’ve ever hit a financial milestone and felt nothing change....this is for you.

Because it’s not really ever about that ‘number’.

It’s about how money makes you feel.

Safe maybe?
More settled?

Like you’re not constantly chasing? Like money isn’t running the show anymore?

You don’t just want ‘more’.

You want more peace.

More space.

More you in the way you live, spend, and plan ahead.

That’s real financial wellness.

And until you feel safe with money… more of it won’t feel like enough.

If you’re ready to change your money story, DM me ‘CHANGE’ and let’s talk.

Would future you thank you for the decisions you make today?

We often think it’s either:
→ Live in the moment
→ Or sacrifice everything for later

But that’s not real financial wellness.

It’s about doing both:
✔ Living fully now
✔ While still backing future you.

Even in my 20s, while I was travelling and saying yes to adventure, I still put something aside.

Not just for retirement but for peace of mind.

Now, I help clients build that same balance in workshops and 1:1 coaching.

Because when you trust yourself with money, everything changes.

That voice in your head saying ‘you can’t afford it’? It might not even be yours…

This was the crux of the conversation yesterday on dubaieye1038fm

Because many of us didn’t grow up with financial education.

We grew up with money messages.

Things like:
‘Money doesn’t grow on trees.’
‘We can’t afford that.’
‘Be grateful, don’t ask for more.’

By the time we’re six, our money mindset is already taking shape - shaped by the stories, stress, and silence we grew up around.

In coaching, I see it all the time.
People earning well, outwardly ‘fine’…but still carrying scarcity, shame, or guilt around money.

Your money story might not be something you chose but you can choose how it shapes your next chapter.

⭐️ Start by noticing the script you’re running.
Then ask: is this actually mine?

⭐️What message did you hear growing up that you’re ready to let go of?

Ever wonder why a sale feels like a must buy?

It’s not just about the discount….a lot is to do with psychology.

Advertisers often tap into our cognitive biases, using psychological triggers like scarcity and social proof to make us feel like we need something.

Limited edition or last chance? It’s no coincidence! These phrases trigger a sense of urgency and make us act fast, even if we don’t need the item.

Recognising these biases can help you make more mindful and intentional purchases.

So next time you’re shopping, pause and reflect: Is it the item you want, or just the feeling of scarcity pushing you to buy?

78% of NFL players face serious financial stress within two years of retiring.

This is according to a Sports Illustrated article.

But this isn’t about income. It’s about how money is managed once it lands in your account.

Research shows that high earners with low financial literacy are far less likely to save or invest and often burn through their wealth faster compared to their financially educated peers (nber.org)

When there’s no budgeting, saving plan, or financial structure in place, financial stability quickly becomes a pipe dream even for those earning big.

The lesson here is financial freedom isn’t about how much you make it’s about what you do with it.

Most people think that money decisions are logical when in fact…

Research by Gallup shows that up to 70% of our financial choices are emotionally driven.

So that feeling when you’re stressed and just need to buy something to feel better? 70% of you feel that way.

It’s not about the money - it’s about the emotion.

Whether it’s anxiety, boredom, stress or excitement- our feelings quietly influence what we buy, how we save, and whether we stick to our goals

And when we make money choices emotionally, we can overlook the bigger picture.

Remember it’s not about restriction, it’s about awareness.

And money habits start with understanding our emotional triggers.

Why is it easier to talk about everything…except money?

We share career wins, relationship updates, house moves… but when it comes to money, there’s often silence.

Maybe it’s fear of judgement

Maybe it’s embarrassment

Maybe it’s because we weee taught early on that ‘talking about money isn’t polite’

But staying silent doesn’t protect us

It keeps us isolated

And stops us from asking for support we might really need

Opening up about money doesn’t make you ‘boastful’ or ‘naive’.

It makes you stronger

It’s time we broke the ‘taboo’ around money

Because financial wellness starts with honest conversations - with ourselves and others

You don’t need a ‘perfect’ budget. You just need to start.

Being ‘good’ with money isn’t about saying no to a latte or a treat.

It’s about making informed decisions most of the time

And being kind to yourself on the days you don’t.

Yes you said you’d start saving next month

That was six months ago.

Life went on

This is your reminder that small steps count

That progress is more important than perfection

And the best time to start?

Before life moves on again

Are you still spending on things that drain you?

It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle - working hard, earning money and checking off goals.

But what if we stopped for a second and asked - where am I actually putting my money?

A couple of weeks ago I spoke about this very topic on dubaieye1038fm

Money’s way more than just a tool - it’s a way to align our lives with what makes us truly happy.

So often we spend on things that don’t serve us, or chase after the next milestone, without realising what really matters.

It’s about redirecting it to the things that bring you joy, peace and fulfilment.

Whether starting a new venture, investing in yourself or creating experiences - the goal is to create a life you love living.

So before you make that next financial move - ask yourself: will this bring me closer to the life I really want?

What does women empowerment mean to you?

When asked this weekend what women’s empowerment meant to me, I answered…

Firstly helping a woman feel in control of her finances.

Every woman should have the opportunity to feel a sense of control around the money that enters her life.

When we gain that control, we create a deeper level of confidence and freedom in every area of our lives - aligned with our goals and values.

Which has that ripple effect on the people around us.

Secondly, it’s community.

As women we shouldn’t see each other as competitors, but as connectors.

When it comes from a place of how can we help connect you to someone else who needs what you offer

We’re opening up more opportunities for everyone around us

And lifting more women up to help them see what’s possible

There will be times in all our lives that we’ll feel self-doubt

But it’s the community we build around ourselves that’ll keep us on track.

“Financial freedom” — we hear it everywhere on Instagram. But what does it actually mean, and how do you achieve it?

The truth is, financial freedom looks different for everyone.

For some, it means having a steady income to cover all the bills without stress. For others, it’s starting a business, creating passive income, or spending more time with family.

Ultimately, it’s about making your money work for you in a way that aligns with your values, goals, and lifestyle.

But….. it doesn’t happen overnight.

It takes intentional steps and strategic planning.

That’s why I’m creating the Finance Her Well Membership. It’s a supportive space where you’ll:

✔️ Get hands on support in setting up your savings/investments
✔️ Be able to pick my brains on all your money questions through personal voice notes
✔️ Learn how to build a step-by-step financial freedom plan
✔️ Learn how to create multiple income streams
✔️ Set boundaries around money without feeling guilty and
✔️ Ultimately get the confidence with your finances
