![25 Years of Gilmore Girls! ❤️
On October 5th, 2000, we were first introduced to Lorelai and Rory Gilmore and the town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
📍Stars Hollow
The real little town used for the pilot episode was Unionville in Ontario. The house that served as Luke’s diner can be found in 156 Main Street, Unionville, and was later recreated on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank. The Stars Hollow gazebo and the house of Lorelai and Rory are also part of the Warner Bros. Tour today.
📍 Chilton
Rory’s High School Chilton is actually Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills.
📍 Harvard
I know Rory chose Yale but I love the episode when she visited the famous Harvard University together with her mum. The campus scenes were actually filmed at Warner Bros Studios in Burbank but I took the pic at the original location in Harvard.
📍 Hartford
In Binscarth Road, Toronto, I found the home of Lorelai’s parents which is set in Hartford, Connecticut. The house was used for the exterior shots of Emily and Richard Gilmore’s home in the pilot episode of the series and was afterwards recreated on the studio lot.
📍Shopping
In the episode “Scene in a Mall” Lorelai and Rory spend the day together at a shopping center in an attempt to reconnect and accidentally bump into Emily Gilmore. The scenes were filmed at Burbank Town Center.

![30 Years!! 🎸 On October 2nd 1995, Oasis released „What’s The Story Morning Glory“, one of my favorite 90s albums.
This masterpiece brought us songs like „Don’t look back in anger“, „Roll with it“, „Wonderwall“ and my all-time fav „Champagne Supernova“. The famous cover was shot on London’s Berwick Street.

![“Luca” in real life! ☀️
I spent the last summer days of 2025 in Italy and made a trip to magical Cinque Terre that inspired the colorful setting of Pixar‘s “Luca”.
Portorosso might be a fictional town but I found lots of places in Vernazza and Riomaggiore which reminded me of “Luca” and it felt like I stepped straight into the world of Luca, Alberto & Giulia. 💛
Director Enrico Casarosa spent his childhood in Liguria, so he drew a lot of inspiration from these picturesque places for the movie.
I hope you have fun with these pictures somewhere between fiction and reality!

![“The Summer I Turned Pretty” makes me think of my younger self and what an absolute mess my love life was in my teen years. 🙃 But unlike Belly at least I never had to decide between two brothers! 😅
Crazy how a show can make us feel like teenagers again, caught up in love and drama. 💔
Watching the beautiful locations of the show in and around Wilmington, North Carolina, as a stand-in for the fictitious Cousins brought my thoughts right back to another teen drama series I loved to watch when I was young: “Dawson’s Creek“! And one of my first locations trips actually led me to North Carolina in 2005 to follow the footsteps of Dawson, Joey & Pacey. ❤️
So if you’re looking for another teenage romance to (re)watch until the “The Summer I Turned Pretty” movie comes out, I totally recommend you „Dawson’s Creek”. 😊

![Downton Abbey is back - for one last time!
With ‚Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale‘ the saga of the Crawley family comes to a climax, the final chapter full of emotions, memories, and new hope.❤️
Fans can look forward to drama, romance, scandal, and humor. I watched the movie last week in a press screening and enjoyed it very much. There was a lot of laughter but also some tears in the end as this movie is the final farewell. 🥺

As usual Highclere Castle in Hampshire slips into the role of Downton Abbey, taking on another leading role alongside Michelle Dockery, Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael & Co.
But there are also some new exciting locations in London (Richmond Theatre, Fortnum & Mason, Picccadilly Arcade) and North Yorkshire (Ripon Racecourse and the Great Yorkshire Events Centre in Harrogate) used for the fresh stories of the new era.

One of my fav pieces of her work is still her intense performance of „Shallow” in the movie “A Star is born” convincing Jack (Bradley Cooper) she might be a brilliant singer and songwriter.
📍Location:
In Los Angeles even supermarkets can become film stars. The Super A Foods in Glassell served as the location where Jack bought some frozen peas for Ally’s injured hand and gets a great a capella performance on the parking lot.
Fun Fact: It’s the same supermarket the Mansion girls are dumpster diving in “Once upon a time in Hollywood”.

![The “Bitter Sweet Symphony” street in London! 🎬 I always wanted to visit the location where The Verve shot the iconic music video for their legendary anthem and I finally did it.
📍I found out it’s Hoxton Street where singer Richard Ashcroft is walking down the road and bumping into strangers along the way. His walk starts at the corner of Hoxton / Falkirk Street.
I love this song so much and was so happy to hear it live in July at the Oasis gig in Manchester with richardashcroftofficial as supporting act. 🙌🏻
And I still get goosebumps thinking about that moment when 80.000 people sang that song together. 🥹

![Mission: Impossible at St Paul’s! 🎬 In “Fallout” Ethan Hunt (tomcruise) runs into the cathedral during a funeral to escape pursuit and is chased to the dome where he’s forced to leap to another building.
It was my first visit inside the cathedral and I also took the 528 steps to the Golden Gallery what I totally recommend if you are in good condition! 💪🏻
It’s also St Paul‘s Cathedral where chocoholic priest Father Julius is chased by a (cgi’d) giraffe🦒 in “Wonka” (see 2nd pic). And where you can find the set for the staircase up the Divination classroom in Hogwarts in “Harry Potter” (3rd pic). Just ask at the info point for the geometric staircase or join a guided tour. 🎬

![On the tracks of Pippi Longstocking around Visby, Gotland! 🇸🇪
So happy that most of the places still exist even more than 50 years after filming! And Visby still looks so pretty like a fairytale town. I spent two days just walking through ancient ruins and cobbled streets to find where Pippi came into town, bought sweets and toys for all țhe children or did the tightrope walking to earn some money for clothes for Tommy and Annika.

![Childhood goal! 😃🎉
Pippi Longstocking (Pippi Langstrumpf in Germany) was one of my earliest female heroes and I‘m so happy to finally follow her trails through Sweden.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of Astrid Lindgren’s beloved character and the movies with Inger Nilsson as Pippi are already more than fifty years old but still popular around the world.
The actual Villa Villekulla that they used for all exterior shots is located on the Swedish island of Gotland. In 1969 the building was moved in one piece 2 kilometers from its former location to Kneippbyn Resort where you can visit it until today.

![Hej from Katthult, Småland!
I‘m following the footsteps of Emil in Lönneberga (better known as Michel in Germany) on the original location near Gibberyd in Småland, Sweden, where most of the outdoor scenes of the famous children’s movies where shot in the 70s.
It feels like time has stood still here as all the buildings we‘ve seen on screen are still there and even kept the same appearance over the last 50 years. The farm is privately owned but open to visitors from mid-June to mid-August.
