What do cravings actually mean❓

Cravings are something many people have and it is normal, but listening to what it’s telling you about your nutritional needs can make a big difference for your overall health. 

Here are some simple changes you can make that will help:

1.Drink water first: Before having a snack, have a glass of water and wait for a few minutes. This can help you to feel full and prevent hunger and cravings.

2. Build Balanced Plates: Meals with protein, fiber and healthy fats help keep your blood glucose steady and reduce the urge to snack.

3. Prioritize sleep: get 7-9 hours of rest each night to prevent elevated cortisol and unbalanced blood sugar that gives you more cravings.

4. Create habits to lower your stress: Breathwork, yoga and stretching. This can help to prevent stress eating.

5. Eat with awareness: Tune in while you eat. Slowing down and eating with intention can lower glucose spikes.
