- We recently stayed in one of the NEWEST (and most unique?) luxury resorts in the world. #EGAmbassador These overwater villas at shebara are shaped like mirrored droplets, reflecting the sky and disappearing into the horizon. 100% powered by solar energy. Lets go take a look inside 👀 Linked in bio. - #redseaproject #shebara #saudiarabia #luxuryhotel #roomtour #hotelview #amazingview #hotelpool
- There’s First Class - and then there’s the emirates Game Changer ✈️ These floor-to-ceiling suites are only available on select 777s and routes in the Emirates fleet. I redeemed 89,000 points and about $400 via Qantas to book this 6.5 hour flight from Geneva to Dubai ✈️ The suite is inspired by Mercedes-Benz: leather panels, ambient lighting, and champagne tones. Unlimited Dom Perignon. Unlimited Caviar. On demand fine dining. An extensive wine list. & as expected, the Bulgari amenities are just as elevated. The middle suites, which technically don’t have windows, come with virtual windows. With HD screens of a live feed of the outside view and the quality is so good that you’d almost forget it’s not real 🤯 The beds are inspired by NASA technology, and offer a “zero-gravity” position, which evenly distributes body weight to reduce pressure on the spine and joints, enhancing relaxation and reducing fatigue during long-haul flights. Supposedly this mimicks astronauts during liftoff for maximum comfort and circulation. I feel forever spoiled 🥹 This was easily one of the most memorable flights of my life - the level of luxury, space, comfort and service is simply unparalleled. Who are you bringing with you on this flight? 👀 #emirates #emiratesgamechanger #firstclass #businessclass #frequentflyer #avgeeks #aviation_lovers #777
- One of the most challenging airports on earth is located in Paro, Bhutan 🇧🇹 Only a few qualified pilots are allowed to land a commercial plane here and drukair_royalbhutanairlines is the national airline & flag carrier (one of two airlines cleared to land at Paro) ✈️ Paro Airport is located in a Himalayan valley at an elevation of over 7,000ft, and is surrounded by mountain peaks that reach up to 18,000ft. There’s no radar guidance, no instrument landing system, and no straight-in approach. Everything is flown manually, and using some visual references on descent through tight terrain. To land on Runway 15, the aircraft goes through a series of high-banked descending turns, and the final turn happens just seconds before aligning with the runway, which only becomes visible in the last few hundred feet 🛬 The landing is on on a runway that’s just 6,445 feet long (or 7400 according to other sources) and at high altitude, so theres little margin for error. Add in unpredictable valley winds and sudden weather changes, and it’s easy to see why flights are restricted to daylight hours and clear visibility only. Pilots are specially trained in visual circling approaches, terrain awareness, and aircraft performance at high-density altitudes. For avgeeks, it’s the ultimate bucket-list arrival 🤩 Drukair connects Paro with major hubs around the world, including Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi, and, most recently, Dubai, twice a week … bringing this bucket-list landing within reach of more travelers. Ready to fly into Paro? 👀 Special thank you to our local tour operator bridgetobhutan 🙌🏼 (We received permission from Drukair flight opps & marketing team far in advance for cockpit access to document and share this journey with our audiences) #avgeek #cockpit #aviation_lovers #businessclass #drukair #paroairport #frequentflyer
