Looking back at my photos and videos from the Venice Film Festival. 🎬 And honestly, I really love how it all turned out! ⠀ I have this professional quirk – hyper-responsibility, sometimes even perfectionism. That’s why I’m especially happy that my very first experience shooting at such a high-level event happened without accreditation or any contractual obligations. 🤭 ⠀ It gave me the freedom to relax and shoot for pure joy. Venice is pure cinema! 🎬 And a multi-genre one. It’s amazing how every time I come back (and now it’s already four times), I discover a completely different city – even though the scenery stays almost the same. ⠀ Our first trip, almost 3.5 years ago, was definitely a family arthouse. 👶 Running around the canals with one-and-a-half-year-old Emilia, dragging the stroller up and down the bridges… It was beautiful, but something was missing. Probably just peace of mind. ⠀ Back then, I didn’t really like Venice. But one late May night, when we stayed out until dark, I saw the city at night – and that was pure magic. That’s when I realized Venice has many faces, shifting even within a single day. ⠀ The second time was quick and intense: a client shoot. Train station – hotel & shoot – train station. 🚅 That time, I saw business Venice. Only work, nothing personal. ⠀ The third time – the film festival. 🎥 Venice revealed itself as a celebration, a gathering, a special world for movie lovers. It winked at me, and I knew something was starting between us. I can’t yet say what, but I felt we liked each other. 😆 The city felt like art, like cinema, like an elusive moment. I met amazing, funny, open people – and even a couple of weird ones. ⠀ The fourth time was a romantic–aesthetic–family–touristic version. 💕 I realized Venice is not really for kids: they get bored and drain your energy – the very energy you want to give to the city. This time we just wandered, turned into streets we’d never seen, ate in non-touristy spots, and even took a gondola. It was soulful, family-like, with a touch of romance and light tourism. 💫 ⠀ Already waiting for our fifth meeting! 😍 ⸻ Венеция – это кино! 🎬 Причём многожанровое. Last week was super eventful! My cousin Inga came to visit, and we traveled a lot – Garda, Como, Venice. We also walked around Milan until we dropped. 👟 I even managed to go to two kids’ parties (and for me, that’s a lot! 😅). Plus, I went to my very first non-family birthday in Italy. 🎉 Against this background, I totally abandoned the gym and ate like a 🐷😆 Now I’m a little terrified to get back into my usual rhythm. Oh, and I suddenly cut down on coffee and tea – so now I proudly wear a square head. 🤯 Wish me luck getting back on track! (Though, who am I kidding? Milan Fashion Week has just started. 💃📸) _______ Прошлая неделя была супернасыщенной на события. К нам приезжала моя двоюродная сестра Инга, и мы много путешествовали. We’ve been having such beautiful light these past few days. 🌅 And even though autumn officially starts in Italy only after September 21, you can already feel it in the light. The light is soft, golden. So pleasantly caressing (not burning!) sunshine. I spend a lot of time on the balcony: writing posts, retouching photos, tying up the tomatoes. 😅🙈 And every time I think: how lucky I am with Pietro. Who else would help with tomatoes alongside his wife? Support all your initiatives, saying, “Go ahead, take that trip to another city in a day—it’s your self-fulfillment.” 😍 It’s so important to find your person, the one who can be your husband, friend, motivator, and support all at once. ❤️ ______ У нас тут такой красивый свет в последние дни. 🌅 И хотя в Италии осень официально начинается только после 21 сентября, по свету уже понятно, что осень пришла. ⠀ Свет – он такой мягкий, золотистый. 🎬 A little revelation about the film festival I just have to share! Did you know that at events like this, you can actually walk the red carpet even if you’re not a celebrity? 😲 Yes, tickets really are sold. More precisely, by purchasing a ticket to a premiere, you also get the chance to step on the carpet. Bloggers, designers, and other public figures make active use of this. Tickets go on sale through the La Biennale website, usually starting in mid-August. But—here’s the catch—it doesn’t guarantee you’ll make it to the carpet. The organizers decide on the day of the screening. Still, many people buy the ticket just for those few minutes in front of the cameras, and don’t even go inside. 🙈 The goal: appear on the festival screens, maybe get spotted by Getty Images, and capture that “best shot” of their life. It’s a fascinating side of PR I had never thought about before. 🤯 Of course, you can also simply watch the red carpet from the pedestrian area—lots of people do! Some even bring ladders to get a better view. 😅 The stars are easiest to catch during the day at the Excelsior Hotel pier. Boats dock right by the carpet, and the best views are from the higher levels of the hotel. And yes, of course I couldn’t resist—I did my own little investigation. 😏 💶 Prices & seats: • Sala Grande: prime slots are expensive. The 7:00 pm show – Platea around €500, Gallery up to €1600. • PalaBiennale and other theaters are much more affordable. • VIP packages exist too—with priority access to the carpet, styling, makeup, and transfers. Prices depend on the agency and package. So here it is: a curious PR world inside the world of film festivals. 🤔 How did I end up at the Venice Film Festival? A little story about quick choices, staying flexible, and making lightning-fast decisions. ⠀ After lunch on Wednesday, I was on a call with Arina (arina.bernardini). We were discussing our project for a clothing brand – just a normal day. And suddenly she sends me this excited voice note: she’d been invited to walk the red carpet. And then, almost casually, she asks if I’d like to join her. 😲 ⠀ Would I like to be in Venice tomorrow? At the red carpet of the Film Festival? In less than 24 hours?! Can you even imagine?! 🤣😍 ⠀ And my first reaction was pure mom-mode energy saver. As soon as I started calculating how much I’d have to organize in just one evening – on top of all the daily routines – I immediately thought, “probably not…” But then I told her, “Give me a few minutes.” 🤭 ⠀ By the way, taking a few minutes to think before answering has been one of my favorite discoveries of recent years! Turns out, nobody actually expects us to reply instantly, and those few minutes to reflect are often the best thing you can do. 🤷‍♀️ ⠀ The truth is, I’d been wanting to shoot in Venice for a long time, and the idea of seeing the inner world of a film festival was irresistible. So I called Pietro to check if we could arrange something for Emilia while I was away. And everything clicked into place! ⠀ I bought my tickets, and the next morning I was already on the train from Milan to Venice. Ahead of me – a beautiful day with my dear Arina and the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival. 🤩 And yes, it all really happened in under 24 hours. News from the field! Here’s how the first week of the new school year went. 😏 ⠀ All summer long Emilia kept asking when school would finally start – she really missed her friends Giorgia and Cecilia. And I totally understood her: I was also waiting for school days to return, when life at least feels a little more under control and a bit more structured. 🙏 ⠀ It’s been exactly one week since Emilia’s school began (well, technically it’s kindergarten, but here in Italy it’s already called “school”). 🏫 And I think I’ve almost managed to settle back into the rhythm of daily life. A lot has happened this week, so at the moment I’m not just a fashion photographer and event photographer, but also a multitasking mama. 👩‍👧 ⠀ Emilia has already started swimming classes, and on Saturday she’ll begin Russian school. As for me, I’m keeping up too: I’ve started my little “cooking plan,” already tried out a new green lentil recipe 🥣, and even put together a fresh bouquet for the kitchen. 🌸 ⠀ So here we are: my happy little girl rides her two-wheeler to school to meet her girlfriends, while I keep balancing motherhood with photography and tarot. 🃏 _____ Новости с полей! 📸❤️ On Thursday I went to the Venice Film Festival – for the very first time in the role of a photographer. Not officially accredited yet, but invited by my dear 🌹Arina. Can you imagine? She was invited to walk the red carpet, styled by Armani Beauty. 🤩 ⠀ While I was taking photos of Arina against the Armani banners, the news came in… Giorgio Armani had passed away. It instantly cast a strange emotional shadow over the moment. As if reality itself paused for a few seconds: the red carpet, Armani Beauty, the banners. 😩 ⠀ One day I’ll make a separate post about how Milanese people (specifically Milanese!) feel about Giorgio Armani. It truly deserves its own story. 🙏 ⠀ Apart from the heartbreaking news, I had an incredible experience at the festival. The atmosphere was intimate, yet without the exaggerated glamour one might expect from an event of this level. 😍 ⠀ Observing celebrities, capturing Arina, breathing in the festival vibes and being fully in the flow – unforgettable. I feel so lucky to have seen the backstage world of the festival and to expand the way I see my work. ⠀ Honestly, this has been one of the most powerful professional impressions I’ve had in a long time. Friends, I’m still sharing my summer shots with you! 📸 And here’s the final part of my shoot with the beautiful Sasha 🌹 (dyagilevaaaa). ⠀ In mid-summer we dropped by Milan’s Navigli district – a student area where young people usually hang out. Mostly it’s students coming here for aperitivo. In the evenings, especially on Fridays, it gets absolutely packed. Unlike the city center, Navigli doesn’t have that sense of “pretentious importance,” so it feels way more relaxed to shoot there. 🤭 ⠀ Sasha and I are already planning to come back here again in autumn or winter to capture some cozy, atmospheric seasonal shots. 🍂🍁 But that’s for later – for now, here’s what we shot in July. ⠀ Enjoy! 😘 ______ Друзья, продолжаю делиться с вами моими летними кадрами! 📸 И вот заключительная часть нашей съёмки с прекрасной Сашей 🌹 (dyagilevaaaa). ⠀ В середине лета мы забежали в миланский район Навильи – это такой студенческий район, где в основном тусит молодёжь. Finally autumn is here. I wait for it more than for New Year’s Eve or even my own birthday. Pumpkin season, spices, hot drinks, rainy days, blankets, cozy movies, soft clothes and long walks that smell like fallen leaves and damp earth. 😍 ⠀ And it’s also the season of going back to routines that bring so much peace. 🤭 ⠀ 💪 I’ve already managed to hit the gym twice and I can’t wait for our padel trainings to start again. I really need them, especially after gaining those annoying 2 kg back! But that’s not the main reason to work out, right? 🤣 ⠀ My autumn plans: 🎃 Finally have that autumn picnic (it’s been on my list for 3 years now!). 📸 Shoot a lot! 🚶🏻‍♀️ Go out somewhere alone at least once a week. 😋 Find new recipes with veggies, beans and fish – cook them and make them part of my routine. 🪴 Spend more time on the balcony among my flowers and tomatoes. 🎥 Watch cozy movies. 🐻 Watch cozy cartoons with Emi. 👚 Buy a new cozy sweater. 💐 Keep fresh flowers at home more often. 🙌 Be more active on social media. 🙏 Meditations, workouts, free writing – try not to skip. 🤗 Meet friends (both offline and online). ⠀ Do you already have any autumn plans? 📆 So, September 3rd has passed. Emilia has started kindergarten, and I’m slowly getting back to my usual rhythm. The first photoshoot of the new school year already happened the day before yesterday, and I’m ready to share the highlights of our trip to Calabria. 🚗 ⠀ I was really inspired to see a “different” Italy, to expand my understanding of the country, to try to get to know it more deeply. And I can confidently say: mission accomplished. ⠀ It turns out that southern Italy feels like another country altogether. Traveling across the Bel Paese (as Italians themselves call it) by car, you can’t help but notice how unique and authentic each region is. 😍 ⠀ A few thoughts from the trip: ⠀ 🫣 August is far from the best month to travel around Italy. It’s peak holiday season. The cultural code, the real people, the authentic food — all of that is much harder to find in this period. In Calabria, it’s definitely best to avoid the Tropea area. ⠀ 🌶 It’s easy to recognize a Calabrese: they pull out a little bag of their favorite hot chili (everyone has their own!). They season almost every meal with it — otherwise, it’s just too bland. As a spice lover myself, I fully support the Calabresi and even brought back some seeds to grow chili on our balcony. ⠀ 🍕 In the south, there are regions where dining out is not really part of the culture. You can grab pizza or fast food, but it’s usually very simple and often loaded with MSG. And if you’re a tourist, your bill will be at least double. In Calabria, a tourist is basically anyone who doesn’t speak the local dialect. ⠀ 👵🏻 The local grandmas and grandpas are the best source of knowledge. And seeds for balcony crops from them? Priceless. ⠀ 📊 Tourists kill the local color, yet at the same time, they are vital for Italy’s survival. ⠀ 🙏 Even if religion changes, culture remains. This struck me especially in Ercolano: there, among the ruins of the city buried by Vesuvius in 79 AD, every house had a small shrine — and that tradition has survived to this day. So, we’re back in Italy — but, as tradition goes, I have to write a few lines about my trip to Moscow. ✈️ While I was there, I didn’t post much, so I want to share my thoughts now — and let this stay here as a little memory. ⠀ 🏙 Moscow, as always, is gorgeous! The boulevards, parks, restaurants — all so familiar. I noticed changes: some I really like — for example, there’s more greenery now, and the long-awaited trees were finally planted on Tverskaya. 🌳 ⠀ Some things I still don’t love — not necessarily new ones, maybe just what has always bothered me. For instance, artificial flowers. They feel fake, lifeless, fade quickly, and remind me of cemeteries. 🙈 ⠀ 💸 Prices in Moscow have gone up, but honestly, the same is true here in Italy. ⠀ Emilia has grown, and it’s more fun to visit Moscow with her now. There are more activities she enjoys — we went to the Oceanarium, and she explored it all by herself several times without once asking to be carried. 🐠 ⠀ We also went to the theatre for “Pushkin’s Dreams” 🎭, and she even had a few ice-skating lessons — so much fun! ⛸ ⠀ This trip will be remembered for all the hugs (my favourite), dear and familiar faces, and even one offline meet-up (Alyona ♥️). ⠀ And the syrniki. 🥞 Every single day! 😋 ⠀ Work was balanced — I took on just enough shoots to avoid exhaustion. 📷 “Self-care first” — a lesson from previous years. ⠀ Of course, I didn’t have enough time for everything I’d planned, but honestly, that’s nice too — it leaves a hint of incompleteness and plans for my next visit. 😍 ______ Итак, мы в Италии, но по уже заведённым правилам надо написать пару строк о том, как прошла поездка в Москву. ✈️ Ведь, пока я была там, мало писала. Хочу поделиться – да и пусть останется на память в аккаунте. ⠀ 🏙 Москва, как всегда, роскошная! Проспекты, парки, рестораны – всё такое родное.
