📍 birch.bakery I still firmly believe this is the best bakery in Dubai. From their bread.. to their incredible selection of sweet and savoury pastries that outshine some of the best I have had in Europe. Their may menu did not disappoint.. a gorgeous homemade chilli jam and cheese toastie. Sweet, tangy and cheesy… on their incredible sourdough. 📍 frankyspizzeria Visited this quirky little venue on Sunday. The vibe is perfect for sunset cocktails and gorgeous Italian food. The staff were so lovely and attentive. The food is outstanding - a small menu but with some hits. We had the tomato panazella salad, a meat platter with glazed figs and balsamic dressing. pairingswinebar A gorgeous winter adventure to York, stumbled upon Pairings. This is the cutest little hideaway serving amazing cheese and meat platters. We opted for two flights a red wine and a sparkling champagne flight. It was lovely to try a range of wines from across the world, with the most incredible platter of Brie, manchego and Wensleydale. 📍 bbdifc I was recently invited down to try bbdifc business lunch deal. It’s a gorgeous chic venue in DIFC, with 3 floors of the cutest striped and vibey interior. Their business lunch menu is an absolute steal. For 125 dhs you get miso soup, 1 bite from a selection of starters, 1 bao bun and 1 main course from their bbq selection. This also includes a non alcoholic beverage or a water. You also have the opportunity to try a desert for a discount of 20 dhs. How amazing!! We went for: - BB Maki roll 10/10 - Salmon Tataki 9/10 - Chicken bang bang bao 10/10 - Crispy beef bao 10/10 - Crispy chicken donburi 8/10 - Cauliflower Katsu 10/10 - Lollipop Ice cream 10/10 - Baked cheesecake 6/10 The menu is soooo vast you can literally have a different style of eating with every course. 📍 theguilddubai Ventured down to the new bit of Sunday roast in Dubai. This place is magical from the minute you arrive, a grand walk way with staff in gorgeous red dresses and suits. Now to the food; we were taken to the beautiful upper part of the restaurant next to a fish pool filled with huge lobsters and crabs bigger than my head. A sexy and classy setting with fantastic atmosphere. We went for the 3 courses for 250dhs, you can also just go for the main course. Sharing everything of course we tried: - beef carpaccio 10/10 - burrata 7/10 - beef roast dinner 9/10 - lamb dinner 8/10 - sides 8/10 - apple and rhubarb crumble 7/10 - sticky date pudding 10/10 The roast dinner was absolutely outstanding, meat cooked to perfection and a beautiful array of green beans and a Yorkshire pudding. The sides were a mixed bag, cauliflower cheese was a hit. The peas were a weird addition for me and the roast potatoes were good but not the best I’ve had in Dubai. Of course the gravy for both lamb and beef were outstanding.. something you have to judge. We did the wine pairing for 145 dhs with dinner and the red wine to complement the beef was outstanding. Would happily have sat and drank that all evening. If you’re looking to splurge or treat yourself head down to theguilddubai for a fantastic meal with excellent service. The menu is packed with classics, I had a beautiful fresh burrata salad with tomatoes. The bread baskets filled with cheese buns, focaccia and bread sticks are divine.. dipped in the most incredible olive oil (that you can purchase).
