There is always more—or almost always. And embracing that idea is the first step to living by the cardinal rule of my fitness philosophy. MODERATION. 

What if, instead of grabbing a spoon and the whole carton of ice cream, you just had one small scoop and put the rest back in the freezer because you can have more tomorrow or the next day? The grocery is full of ice cream. You really don’t have to eat it all today because there is more.

Focusing on that abundance with regard to food is actually the key to getting off the roller coaster of
dieting and creating a healthy lifestyle that adds up to a fit, strong, and happy you over the long haul.

If you can convince yourself of two things: that there is always more of whatever it is, and that there is enough for everyone, then you will be in a much better headspace to set down your spoon and enjoy food in moderation. 

Those positive affirmations are all about taking back your power over nourishing your body. Once you gain that control, you’ll be in the drivers seat to wellness.

Approach your health, both diet and exercise, with an abundant attitude and you will reap amazing rewards. 

Your weight loss and fitness efforts will be grounded in long-term growth and a lifestyle that is sustainable and feels good. 

Everything you need is available to you when you allow yourself to focus on what you have and how much more is out there for you.

Be honest now...How many times have you thought, “I REALLY need to get off this couch and get some exercise?” But you only have ten or twenty minutes so you convince yourself that it’s not worth the effort.

Or you think about running and then get discouraged because you can’t run a mile without stopping.

There’s a voice in your head telling you that if you can’t commit an hour or that if you can’t run a marathon or if you can’t train like an Olympic athlete, “Why bother?” 

That’s your annoying Inner Critic again and it’s time to get her off your back and invested in getting fit.

Just Do It!
You can’t succeed unless you start.
Every Minute Counts! 

All or nothing perfectionism is your Inner Critic’s biggest weapon and you need to beat that bitch by walking any chance you get, five minutes in one direction and five minutes back. Do that three times a day and you’ve gotten thirty minutes in without trying!

Or take it up by taking ten minutes to alternate jumping jacks and pushups. 
While you’re cooking and you’re waiting for the timer to go off, use that ten minutes for squats and sit ups.

Or better yet, crank up some music and dance around the kitchen for ten solid, joyful minutes! 

All that moving around will shake your Inner Critic loose and get her moving too.

One of the best ways to build trust in yourself is by developing a can-do attitude. 

A defeatist mentality says, “No. I cannot go out to dinner with my boss and his wife and eat healthy.” 

But you can train yourself to say, “Yes!” to the career opportunity AND good self-care if you change your attitude. 

When an invitation comes up, do a little research beforehand. Make a plan. Have a sparkling water 
with a twist instead of a cocktail, stick to a fresh, simple entree and skip appetizers and desserts. 

A clear head and a light plate will make you a sharper conversationalist and a comfortable dinner 
companion, plus ordering decisively with a smile and ease only makes you look that much more 
competent. 
#The key is to come at those situations with a “Yes I can!” attitude instead of an, “Oh God, how will I ever?” mindset. 

You are an amazing creature filled with potential. If you learn to trust yourself and your ability to adapt, 
you can and will lose weight because every time you are faced with an obstacle, you will make it work. 

The way to make this time different, the way to make this time the time you take the weight off and 
keep it off, is to love yourself enough to believe you can change. 

When you allow yourself faith and a positive attitude, everything is possible. 

It’s time to stop hating the skin you’re in and start living fully, wholly, and happily in the healthiest body you can create. 
One baby- step at a time, trust and self-love will take you there.

Pursuing perfection is a race to nowhere.

With a  typical all or nothing attitude you will quit after a slip up and say you will begin again tomorrow. What happens between the slip up and tomorrow can be an all-out binge because you already blew it. Or it can be an extended period of weight gain while waiting for tomorrow to come again.

Have you ever heard of the 80-20 approach?

It’s based on the concept that 80% of your meals are mostly healthy while 20% of your choices include planned indulgences or inadvertent slips.

And although it produces slightly slower weight loss, it is much easier to stick to in the long run and therefore, has a much higher success rate.

Adopting the 80-20 approach allows you to indulge on special occasions, eliminates the concept of good or bad or forbidden foods, gives you a structure to follow while allowing for a little bit of flexibility when you need it, and enables you to reach your goal and easily maintain your

The last year have been challenging...

anxiety hit a new high,
a lot of self doubt,
loss of confidence,
loss of sense of who I am and what I want from life....

Despite this I decided to show up every day and work through this.
I asked for help and did the work (and still doing it)!

And I feel soo much better!

I took time for myself to travel, spent time with my family and got a new puppy! 

One thing that I have learnt is, that it is ok to rest.
It is ok to rest from work
It is ok to rest from workouts when needed.

Gently yoga session and extra time in bed can feel lien the opposite of what you need to see results. 

But that’s not true. When you recover you regain, restore and recuperate what you’ve lost. And come back stronger then before ❤️

I learnt it a hard way. And today I chose to listen to my body and my soul needs.
Today I choose peace and rest.

10 things that make me, me:
*which one do you relate to? 👇🏻*

1️⃣ I moved from Poland to NYC in 2009. I can’t even count in how many apartments I have lived since then.

2️⃣ I used to be obsessed with Spiced Girls. I even took part in mini playback show with my girlfriends in elementary school, where I was performing as Emma. 😎💃

3️⃣ My first job was selling kebabas and French Fries in my hometown. 

4️⃣I use word “awesome” pretty often 😉

5️⃣ Even though I have been living in English speaking country for past 13 years I still sound like I just moved here 😂

6️⃣ I loooove to read fiction. Buying new books (even though I have whole bunch I haven’t read yet!) is my addiction 🤦🏼‍♀️

7️⃣ I got my drivers license at 32 because who needs to drive in NYC? 🤷🏼‍♀️ 

8️⃣ I truly believe that tacos and margaritas are life and I can’t imagine to live without them 🌮 

9️⃣ If coffee is truly bad for me, I don’t want to know. It’s a highlight of my day. 😉

🔟 I become a different person when I’m on a sunny beach. I hope one day we can live on the water!

This took me a while this time around. 
I needed to take some time for myself to enter this year with peace in mind and body. 

Among all the “this is your year” messages, I’m gonna say something that might be hard to hear. 

This might NOT be your year. 

In fact, statistically speaking … it will be a totally average year. 

Some good times. Some bad times. Maybe you’ll achieve some of your goals, but it likely won’t play out the way you’re visualizing it. 

And who the ef cares? 

My wish for you is that you focus more on your ability to figure sh*t out rather than put pressure on yourself to make all your goals come true. 

I hope you realize that the less appealing (read: super shitty) moments are where you build the resourcefulness and skills needed to make “it” happen for yourself. 

And finally, I hope you know the low points that do happen means nothing about you and your ability to achieve your goals. It’s just part of this crazy life that you’re going after. 

The more we learn to expect the rollercoaster, the more we learn to have fun riding it.

There is a direct correlation between how we experience success and how we feel confidence.

When we allow our health and fitness to slip, we feel out of control and our confidence starts to erode.
“I mean how hard is it to eat a salad? Why can’t I commit to thirty minutes of exercise three days a week? What’s wrong with me?”

It’s a downward spiral.
Most of us are a jumble of confidence and insecurity. We know that we rock at our job but we struggle with our ability to eat well. We are confident that we are the best mom in a hundred-mile radius but we are afraid to go to spin class because we can’t figure out the bike and what if we can’t keep up?

The first step in becoming more confident is to accept that nothing is 100% and to embrace what is working. That positive affirmation can become the seed for a whole garden of confidence and security.
