All jokes aside, how many of you just want to ‘tone up’ I know I deffo did when I started, but quickly learned what that really means.

In all seriousness though, I am actually right. The best client  transformations i’ve had the pleasure of being a part of are actually the ones where their mindset shifted first. Start prioritising skills, strength, longevity, fun & freedom in your movement. If at first you can’t find what you really love then its just a case of sticking it for as long as it takes for one day to wake up & things become suddenly enjoyable. Still hard, but when it becomes something you have fun with that’s when you start feeling and seeing a difference. I’ve been online training women for 2 yrs now & the clients that are still going are the ones that overcame the scales. Got rid of the weekly deadline to lose a certain amount of kg and started to work on getting their first pullup instead. Guess what? The weight came off and they didnt even realise it 😅 the body is just a bonus once you get past the hard part of starting and finally settling into the fun of fitness, which is forever if you keep moving.

I remember the moment I told myself I was just going to lock in once & for all. It wasn’t a Monday and it wasn’t a new year or a birthday start either. It was at the beginning of October almost 7 yrs ago. I had ran up the stairs to get my baby & I was so out of breath I had to take a second before I picked him up. 
I remember thinking f**k this sh** I was only 30 and if not now then when the hell would be the right time??? 
The next day I joined my local leisure centre & that was it.
I made a promise I would train a minimum of 4 days a week no matter what & I wouldn’t stress about all the details with food and macros and blaa blaaa blaaa that is thrown about all time. So many specifics and measurements left me uninterested and overwhelmed to even think I could be a somewhat fit and strong person.

I stuck to my promise and made sure I moved my body whether it be at Home / gym / a class / broken up through the day i gave myself no excuses & worked around everything going on in life.
If i couldn’t get to a scheduled class last minute, i did something at home when the kids went to bed.
During lockdown I trained at home with the kids getting involved or crawling around and tugging at my ankles. 
If we went on holiday I took a skipping rope with me and planned my workouts so that I could continue progressing.
If I was ill but could still move, i modified my workouts & just got any movement in that made me feel better.
If i had to wake up earlier than everyone and workout before their day started I did.
It had to fit around my life and whatever unexpected circumstances came in.
That’s the only way you will change your habits & get to the point where you crave exercise, changing the way you think until it’s set in stone.
It’s not easy until one day it is. 
That’s why I’ve created strongerinsisterhood_ a community membership designed to be accessible for as many women as possible, convenient but quality female led coaching with a strong sisterhood to build you up 👊🏽♥️

The only thing you should be starting is learning how to workout in a way that suits your lifestyle & your personality traits. Instead of trying a way that you have attempted and miserably failed over & over, maybe look at other options that might work for you. 
Try new things, learn a skill, keep things moving and whatever you choose, keep it consistent. 
You’re not going to keep starting over.
You’re just going to get through it for once.
I’ve been there, and if you’re anything like me, get bored easily, get distracted, but also highly competitive and itching to get stronger, more athletic then you should probably do what I do.
Experimented with LOTS of training styles until I found one that kept me on my toes and had me intrigued.. kettlebells. You will never bore of training if you have something that requires skill that can always be levelled up, and a skill that also builds muscle, strength endurance & a body you never would have thought possible.
Find the fun, make it challenging, excel in it. Discover the strength you will build off the back of that and from there… the world of fitness is your oyster 😍👊🏽

Cardio or strength first? How much cardio? How many reps? Should you split your sessions? Or do you need a separate day?

If you’ve ever had these questions, then you know the internet is full of conflicting advice, boring breakdowns, and people arguing over what’s ‘optimal’.

The truth? The best workout is the one you’ll actually do consistently. And if we’re going to be real, most of us just need to move more instead of wasting time deciding what’s ‘optimal’. Unless you’re a competing athlete, which you’re not. 

Kettlebell swings are the ultimate cheat code to combining explosive strength with serious cardio.

Stop overcomplicating it. 

Grab a kettlebell, swing with good form, and get both your cardio and strength done at the same time… 

in less time.

It literally took years of consistently neglecting yourself to build the habits that got you to this point of being so fed up with yourself.
