I get it. One division draws more revenue than the other. Fans show up for Mr Olympia, not Miss Olympia.

But wow! What a huge difference. 

 I feel like if the female divisions don't bring profit and sponsors to our own sport, we will never earn the same amount. 

Maybe we should. Maybe we should start to generate our own sponsorships, create enough attention that fans will want to see more female divisions. 

How do we do that? What's your opinion? 

But at the same time, if females don't show up, especially the NPC shows, there is no competition.

I didn't get here by myself. I allowed myself to be vulnerable. And I listened. I took nothing for granted. And if I want to look different, I have to do things differently. 

Trust is sometimes the hardest thing that you can do. Especially when you're a control freak like me 😂. 

Sometimes the hardest part is surrendering. To think differently is to allow your comfort zone to be invaded. And sometimes that's hard. 

 I Also realize at age 55, I have nothing to lose. And  to walk on the stage, and conditioned, is an accomplishment in and of itself.

INTERMITTENT FASTING

 Alot of people think intermittent fasting is just “skip breakfast, eat one meal, and I’ll lose weight,” but that can backfire hard. Let me explain:

🚫 Why Intermittent Fasting Doesn’t Work Well for Muscle Gain

1. Protein Distribution Matters
Muscle growth thrives on muscle protein synthesis (MPS), which is maximized when protein is spread across 4–6 meals every 3–4 hours. IF compresses eating into a small window (like 8 hours), making it harder to evenly hit those MPS “spikes.”

2. Calorie Surplus is Harder
To build muscle, you need to eat more than you burn. Stuffing down 2,500–3,000 clean calories in one or two sittings is uncomfortable, and often people just don’t hit their intake.

3. Training Fuel & Recovery
If you train fasted, glycogen is lower and energy output drops. That means less weight lifted, slower recovery, and fewer gains.

4. The “One-Meal-a-Day” Trap
People who use IF as a shortcut to just eat once a day often:

Don’t get enough protein

Miss their micronutrients

Binge on processed foods because they’re starving
That’s not fasting with purpose, that’s just skipping meals.

👎 Who Should Avoid Intermittent Fasting

Hardgainers / Ectomorphs → Struggle to eat enough calories as it is.

Competitive Bodybuilders → Need nutrient timing dialed in for fullness, recovery, and performance.

People With Eating Disorders (past or present) → Fasting can reinforce restriction/binge cycles.

“Lazy Dieters” Who Want a Shortcut → If the mindset is “I’ll just starve all day and eat whatever I want at night” → it won’t work. You still have to track portions, quality, and balance.

Anyone Who Doesn’t Understand Nutrition → IF isn’t a free pass. Food choice, portion control, and macro balance still matter.
