ʜᴇɪᴍɪꜱʜ ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡ 헤이미쉬 베이스 세트 #불가리안로즈톤업선스크린 + #아트리스글로우베이스 I already teased my next review several times, and fibally the time has come to talk about two of my favorit products from Heimish. ᴀʀᴛʟᴇꜱꜱ ɢʟᴏᴡ ʙᴀꜱᴇ - First, the more known of the two: the artless glow base, a tone-up glowy primer with spf. Very light texture, slightly moisturizing effect on the skin, it's one of my favorite primer for a light glow enhancement. - It works incredibly well as primer, especially for dull and dry skins. Even if you use a lot, it will rarely pile up. I actually had no interest in using a glowy primer until I saw that my friend reginainneverland was also using it-- I then decided to give it a try and boom! Loved it. - One thing to note is that to me this is a glowy primer, note a tone-up product. I have several primers or sunscreen that are labeled as tone-up but they're glowy, and vice versa. At least with this you know it's a proper label and won't modify your skin tone. ᴛᴏɴᴇ-ᴜᴘ ꜱᴜɴꜱᴄʀᴇᴇɴ - This is an amazing sun cream if you are looking for something extremely lightweight and that actually acts like a corrector. The pink color is strong, so when you apply it the pinkish tint is extremely noticeable even on my super light skin. - the suncream is extremely watery, so you need to pay attention when you open the lid of the squeeze tube cause it's easy to make a mess. Just shake it up few times before use! - one of the main ingredients is Bulgarian Rose extract, which definitely can be smelled. The smell is very very strong, so if you are sensitive to smell...pass. - While the Artglow base can be stratified, I feel like using too much of this sunscreen is not suggested...especially for dry skins! Albeit this choice breaks the tradition (and rises many national security concerns), it also gives people the chance to visit the former presidential house, which was open to the public already, but officially the whole complex was fully open on 13 May 2022. ♥️MUZIGAE MANSION♥️ Object liquid Review Another vegan and cruelty free brand to discover… but this time, make it super aesthetic! Took me a month to try all the shades, but I must say…the formula is consistent through all the colors, which is not always the case in kbeauty! -The two base shades 001 (warmer) and 002(pinkish) are perfect to use as a base or by themselves. The other colors are mianly different tones and shades of red. Albeit looking similiar, from the swatches you can see that the differences are quite evident… you can see the difference on the lips as well, even on pigmented lips like mine. Especially 003, 009 and 010 might look the same but they’re not even a tiny bit similiar when you put them on. 010 is a darker and deeper shades of red, while 009 is absolutely more of a rusty brownish color. - Formula-wise, they are the type of moussey product that is trending in Korea right now; compared to Romand and Amuse blurred tints, this is definitely more thin an the coverage is homogeneous without streaks. However, I noticed it’s not a product you can build up, as the more you put on, the more the brush takes away. The shades can be mixed and matched, and they re all perfectly complementary with the two basic shades 001 and 002. - Finally, the packaging: we cannot really comment on that, it’s stunning and so curated! This blue one contains Hyaluronic acid, which helps with suppler skin and to retain moisture. -The product comes in a very handy squeezable tube, so no need to touch the product directly. The packaging is also extremely pretty… it reminds me of a pebble! The Essence itself has low viscosity, but it’s not watery. - Once applied it feels a little bit gooey, but don’t be worried! It absorbs quickly and with no residues. As immediate result, I wouldn’t say it is highly moisturizing…it just absorbs into the skin and hydrates it from within. While I could feel that my skin was not too “tight” from the first application, it takes constant use to see how this essence can become a good ally in your skincare routine. - After more than one month of testing, I can say that it helps my skin maintain moisture. It didn’t give me any irritation whatsoever and it never bothered my makeup with pilling or things like that. 🍓 EEERT 🍓 #dearmiraecafetour Strawberry season in Korea starts in February, and goes on all throughout March and May! Definitely my favorite time of the year! Out of all the places that offer a seasonal strawberry Menú, #eert is surely one of the most famous all over instagram. They serve their seasonal menús in a bento-style box, called “errt box”, which contains enough desserts for two people. Obviously right now they offer a strawberry themed one! In the three drawers you can find a strawberry shortcake, strawberry and choco whipped cream fruit sandwich, traditional strawberry monaka, matcha and strawberry mini pound cake, freshly cut strawberries and more! ( please note that desserts might vary because these pictures are from the 2021 edition ). The story narrates of two young lovers who had fallen in love while collecting Camelias, but lived at the opposite sides of the lake. The two decided to meet the next day, however the River was too swollen with rain water and it became impossible to cross… Some versions of the legends say the bachelor died, while other refer to the young lover as a “husband who left to work away from home”. -It is said that the legends were somehow adapted to the lyrics of the Jeongseon Arirang, a song that express longing for the lost love. -Very likely, all these stories were created to warn people from crossing the dangerous river, as it is documented that many women lost their lives by trying to cross the cold waters. These are some pictures of the less-busy streets of Seongsu. You can find some more “hipster” hidden coffee shops, small clothes and shoes stores, and old-style restaurants. Of course, I also added very unusual street pictures because you should know, Seongsu-dong and the area around ttukseom and Seoul Forest park is surrounded by raised bridges, big roads and the sopraelevated Subway station. I remember perfectly when I went to this cafe years and years ago… I was at my 3rd semester of language school, and I was finally able to put together a normal not too weird sentence in Korean lol This is one of the first places that I was able to find by reading reviews (and understanding 40% of them ahah) on Mangoplate. #PEKAH -WinkyBlinky Palette ( #PR #협찬 ) # 1 Cozy Cafe ☕️ Against all odds, I’ve used only this quad several times. I always complain that I don’t want to use quads because I want a lot of shades, but I must admit that having a short selection of colors makes your life easier. Usually I don’t think Korean quads are very well balanced because they lack a real deep shade (dark browns/purples are never dark enough), however Doubleshot Espresso is deeper than it looks, and very well balanced with Honey Cafe Latte and Classic Affogato. These matte shades are a bit chalky to the touch, but still the pay-off is good without being too dusty. The “glitter” shade is bronze (not my favorite), not transparent but full and metallic. There are few multiglitters in gold, dark bronze and white, but it’s definitely not full glittery. Still, it glides on smoothly and the shine lasts a lot even without primer. Compared to my expectations, this palette wasn’t cool-tone… on the opposite, it’s full warm. The pay off is very good and the shadows are long-lasting, all very surprising considering it’s not a very well known brand. I just wish they did some more daring combination, or at least change the packaging because it looks too much like other well-known brands… ❓do you prefer having bigger palettes with lots of shades or do you like staying minimal? ᴍᴀɴɢᴡᴏɴ-ᴅᴏɴɢ ɴᴇɪɢʜʙᴏʀʜᴏᴏᴅ Forever one of my favorite Neighborhoods to go to, wether it is for cafe hopping (you know well how many cafes I visited there!) or for everyday grocery-shopping (at the famous Mangwon market), I always find myself going back here several times a month… It has been something like 30-40 years that Mangwon has seen its redevelopment, but before that, the neighborhood was considered a “poor” and old one, which explains the high number of old traditional houses and the super tight streets that are still numerous, despite the modernization of the area. It’s market has been featured in many entertainment programs, with idols having to buy presents or food with a tight budget.
