First race of the UAE Cycling Season 2025–26.
Three tough laps in 40°C heat and strong wind — pushing limits and tactics to finish 2nd. Tested new race tech: histripscom nose strips (DM me for a discount!) and inuteq cooling jackets that helped me keep the body cool before the start. Please welcome my N+1 bike – the Cannondale Habit. A mix between a fun ride around my community and some action on the MTB trails we have here in the UAE.
Big thanks to thecyclery.cc for supporting my cycling journey. Can’t wait to share some trail rides with you all!

This is what a weekend looks like for me: early morning training, afternoon recovery, and finishing the day with a good dinner together with my buddy max_de_nil.
The racing season is almost here – first races are just 2 weeks away and I can’t wait to get started.

As a young athlete, keeping track of my health is just as important as training on the bike. Regular blood tests help me monitor recovery, nutrition, and overall performance so I can stay race ready throughout the season.

The best part is that I don’t even need to leave home anymore. Thanks to aims_homehealthcare , I can get professional medical services right at my doorstep. Their team came to my home, collected the blood samples quickly and safely, and sent me the results the same day.

For athletes, parents, or anyone in the UAE who wants to stay on top of their health without wasting time in clinics, this kind of home service is a game changer. 2025-09-10 22:33:05 As a young athlete, kee.. 1,460 -78% 37 -45%

Riding through the French Alps feels unreal. Every corner opens up to another view that makes you slow down, not because the climb is tough but because it’s too beautiful not to capture. Sometimes it’s not about racing or training — it’s about remembering why we love the bike.

We don’t have roads like this back home, and that’s what makes it even more special. Cycling here is more than just kilometers, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

Tag a friend you want to share a ride like this with and tell me where your dream cycling destination is.

I decided to make breakfast a bit more interesting today. Spinning on the bike rollers is already tricky, but I wanted to see if I could flip pancakes while riding at the same time. ASSEN - the culmination of my summer 2025. The best experience, the best lessons, the best people. I’d like to say big thanks to everyone who supported me during this tough week of racing - my parents, my little brother who was cheering me on the race track, my coach for all trainings and tips, my friends (some of them even drove all the way from Germany to see me on the stage 1), my sponsors and partners for supporting me with gear, travel and tech, my teammates for the spirit, my cycling club and their European partner for amazing technical and logistical support during the race, the organizers and volunteers for making this amazing race happen, all participants for being such an amazing peloton and of course all my subscribers for your support and messages! .

First time racing in the rain at europeanjuniorcyclingtourassen !
Coming from the UAE, I never really had a chance to ride on wet roads - this was not just my first race in the rain, but also my first ride in these conditions.

Racing at 40km/h through wet corners and cobbled sections was a completely new challenge — and a great lesson.
Definitely time to add some rainy weather sessions into my training plan!

Final Stage – Assen Tour 2025
Another wet race to wrap up the week. Just like yesterday, the rain started right before the race and stopped right after the finish.

Today I got a real taste of racing under the rain through wet corners and cobbles at 40+km/h in a fast-moving peloton - not easy, but definitely unforgettable.

Didn’t get the position I hoped for, but that’s part of racing. I finished in the front bunch on 19th position. This was my second time at Assen and I’m leaving with more experience, more lessons, and even more motivation to come back stronger.
Congrats to all winners, you deserved your podium!
Big thanks to everyone who followed my journey and supported me this week! Stay tuned for the racing week overview!

Stage 4 of the European Junior Cycling Tour Assen: Time Trial day!

The 12 km course had everything a TT rider could wish for: moderate cobbles, the short but punchy Col de Muur, and long straights to push full gas… until the weather decided to join the race.

Just a few minutes before my start, heavy rain hit the course. Riders before me were flying on dry roads, but I rolled out into wet corners and gusty wind and the rain stopped right as I crossed the finish line – making it my second wet race in a row after Stage 3.

Despite the tricky conditions, I delivered my best 20‑minute power ever today. Wet cobbles, changing grip, and wind in your face are the moments that teach the most.

Stage 3 gave me my first ever wet race. Stage 4 just added another chapter. Can’t wait to see what the final stages will bring!

Assen Tour Stage 3 – Omloop VAMberg
Stage 3 of the European Junior Cycling Tour Assen was a real battle. The toughest stage of the week – 5 laps over the legendary Col du VAM – started with heavy rain right during warmup. It was my first-ever wet race and that steep climb pushed me to the limit.

I got dropped from the main group and spent 2 laps fighting in the chasing group before giving everything I had on the final climb. It wasn’t the result I hoped for, but I learned a lot of valuable lessons about racing in the rain and never giving up.

Tomorrow is the Time Trial stage – stay tuned for more from Assen!

Assen Tour Stage 2 Recap
Today’s stage was intense – 5 laps for a total of 26 km. On the first lap there was a massive crash involving more than half of the peloton. I tried to avoid it by going into the grass but collided with another rider who was also escaping the pile-up. Luckily, I was fine with no visible damage and got back on the bike to chase the front group.

The race was eventually neutralized and restarted. This time I stayed in the middle-front of the peloton, saving energy for the final lap. I moved up to the front before the finish and went all-in for the sprint. At the line I wasn’t sure of my exact position, but I felt confident about a top 10.

The results came in – 5th place in Stage 2! Combined with yesterday’s result, I’m now sitting 5th overall in the GC.

Tomorrow is the Queen Stage, the toughest stage of the European Junior Cycling Tour Assen. Stay tuned for updates and behind-the-scenes from the race!

Stage 1 – Assen Tour Criterium Recap
Tough race, unexpected twist.

Today’s criterium was fast and intense with 12 laps on narrow roads, sharp corners, and full gas sprints. Unfortunately, the organizers didn’t ring the bell for the final lap, which caused confusion in the peloton. Most riders thought there was still one lap to go, so we sprinted twice.

The final results were neutralized based on the “1 lap to go” standings. No winner was announced and no bonus seconds were awarded, but 39 riders in the front group – including me – all received the same time.

Despite the chaos, I’m happy with my race. I stayed in the front group, avoided two crashes, and pushed hard from start to finish. Huge respect to everyone who raced today and thanks to our support team italybiketours adcyclingclub for keeping us ready. Hope everyone from the crashes are okay and we will see them tomorrow!

Tomorrow is a new day, new stage, let’s go again!

Assen Tour Diary: It’s the final day before the race and things are getting real!
I picked up my race number ( 7 this year) and the day was packed with last-minute prep.

We started with a final recon of Stage 2 to double-check every detail. Then I headed over to the team van to do a full bike check with the mechanic, making sure everything is race-ready. Big thanks to my friends at airolube_bike for helping me clean and lubricate the bike to perfection.

And just before wrapping up the day, I did a short interview about my expectations for the week ahead. Can’t wait to get to the start line tomorrow and give it my best!

Stay tuned for race day updates, behind the scenes, and full race coverage coming up tomorrow.

2 days before the race
Easy spins, good company, and final recons of stages 1 and 5. Today’s ride was all about recovery - my coach gave me a strict 100W limit to keep the legs fresh before the race starts. It’s not something I do often, but sometimes less is more, especially this close to race day.
We rode together with friends, revisiting the course at a super easy pace. Stage 1 criterium and stage 5 forest loop are both fast and technical, so every recon helps, even at low power.

Countdown is almost over. Let’s go!

3 days to go until race day and we’re shifting into race mode. Today’s session was all about pre-race activation: short efforts to keep the legs sharp without building fatigue.
Even better, my teammate arrived just in time, and we did the ride together. Always more motivating to push through the final prep with someone by your side.

We kept it controlled, focused on technique, cadence, and dialing in that race-day mindset.
The countdown is on - the course is ready, legs are waking up, and the riders are arriving.

Stay tuned for daily updates, more recon, and all the behind-the-scenes in the lead-up to the first stage.

The countdown is on and the first friends are already arriving in Assen! Today’s easy ride turned into something special as we explored parts of Stage 1 and Stage 5 together and checked out the Tour’s campsite – everything’s almost ready.

Mistake during Assen Tour stage 3 recon! D-5.
We went to the stage 3 and filmed our recon for Stage 3 at Col du VAM, but later realized we used last year’s route and EJCTA 2025 stage 3 is different compared to last year! We are not climbing to Col du VAM and there is no cobble section anymore. There is another climb instead, as steep at the original one, but paved.

We went back to Vam later to check the correct route - so if you’re racing this year, make sure you look at the GPX provided by the organizers!

Assen Tour D-6: Cannondale Office Visit + Amsterdam Ride

The countdown continues - just 6 days left before the start of the European Junior Cycling Tour Assen.
Today was a rest day, and we had a special invitation to visit the Cannondale European headquarters near Utrecht. Last year, I got to see their factory in Almelo, and this time it was all about their main office, located in a beautiful 200-year-old building surrounded by forest, with direct access to both road and MTB trails.
I met some of the amazing people behind the Cannondale brand. As their youth ambassador, I’m really thankful for the warm welcome and continued support from both Cannondale and TheCyclery Dubai, my local bike shop.

After the visit, we made a quick stop in Amsterdam, had a walk around the city, tried some local street snacks, and rode city bikes along the canals. Even on a rest day, cycling is part of the plan!

21 July 2025 - Assen Tour countdown: 7 days to go
Today was Time Trial recon day. The TT will take place in Emmen, about 30 minutes from Assen. My category (Cat 6 and above) will race on a 12km course with sharp corners, mild cobbled sections (the surface isn’t smooth, with some bumps and waves), one short but steep climb (4.5% over 350m), and a few long straights wide open to the wind.

This is the only stage with a new layout compared to last year in Cat 5 - with extra 4km to the route. All the other stages are on the same circuits, just with more laps.

In the afternoon, my little brother and I explored the area on pedaling buggies. Training in the morning, fun in the afternoon - perfect combo.

Daily updates from Assen continue, stay tuned. 2025-07-22 14:12:52 21 July 2025 - Assen To.. 908 -86% 34 -49%
