Life been life’n… Between broken items, guests cussing me out, people stealing everything except the paint off the wall, and rent looking at me like “you got it,” I seriously considered turning the studio into a prayer room 😭🙏 At times it’s hard to decipher my dream studio from a complete nightmare 😅😂 To keep it real — there are days I struggle just to show up…which is wild considering I’m the CEO, janitor, customer service rep, set designer, photographer, social media manager, graphic designer, event planner, therapist, and occasionally security — all in one. 💀 This business is not for the weak, but it IS for the bold. And even on the days I wanted to give up — I didn’t. Why? Because I still love it here! Creative Block Studios has and will always be my baby! You wouldn’t believe what happen during this set design process 🫠 Let’s just say trusting the process has been a major theme lately Would you believe me if I told you the wall was painted THREE different colors before finally landing on THE ONE 🙃 I painted the wall Essex Green which was cool…until I used an IG filter that turned the wall black and I just couldn’t unsee it. …..down hill we go 🎢🫠 Trying to find a happy medium between green and black decided to go with Black Forest Green. I pulled up to Home Depot, bought more supplies and even picked up some help. Cause work smarter not harder, right ? WRONG!! Came back once they were finished painting and somehow the wall was not black or green but BLUE. 😶 I was sickkkkkkk. I had no words. You mean to tell me I paid to have the walls painted the WRONG COLOR. Went BACK to Home Depot, dropped my help off, brought even MORE supplies and got back to painting the wall for the third time 🥲 At this point I was ready to call it quits.
