I’ve been waiting for an event like this, and it’s finally here! 🙌 raisingtomorrow_official on October 19th is a full day exploring modern family life and parenthood at kube.frb in Frederiksberg. It’s all in English, which is perfect for international families like ours! 🌍

Having this gathering in English is so valuable, as it enables internationals to follow and engage in conversations about parenting in Denmark and contribute to the discussion with their diverse perspectives. This broadens the dialogue and deepens our understanding of the challenges and opportunities we all face as parents today 🌱

Expect a day filled with inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions this Saturday, on topics like 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀, managing 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, and navigating the 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀. I’ll be speaking on one of the panels: 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳: 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘻𝘰𝘯𝘴. Can’t wait to see what unfolds! 😊

It’s a great opportunity to connect with other parents and gain practical insights for your family life! 💬💪 Check out the event link in bio and today’s stories and let me know if you’re coming 🤗

This is just the beginning of more gatherings, so stay tuned for future events! 💛

🌍✨ Yesterday, I went to 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 organized by the City of Copenhagen’s International House, and I was super impressed with all the effort they’ve put into supporting internationals like us! 🙌

There were so many helpful talks—from how to find a job in Copenhagen to understanding Danish work culture, volunteering opportunities, and more. One of the talks was all about what culture houses offer, and they also encouraged us to use these spaces for hosting community events. I’ve used them for many activities before, but I’ve never organized anything myself. Now I’m thinking maybe I should! 👀 Reach out if you want to collaborate 😊

Oh, and did you know that 𝟮𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀? I’d heard different numbers floating around, but they weren’t from official sources. So during the Q&A, I asked the presenter from the Culture Houses, and she confirmed it’s 20%—it’s amazing how diverse this city really is!

There were so many organizations there: sports clubs, unions, daycare options, expat consultancy services, and more. I stopped by the teid.dk booth, then by the prosafagforening, who I remember from the family politics conference where they were advocating for a four-day workweek to support family life. So yeah, they’re my allies! 😉

In the activity zone, Oya and I caught a demo from the amateur women’s choir verdenssirener and watched a fencing competition by fktrekanten

Oya had a blast throughout the day, collecting tons of candy 🍬from the different booths while I was chatting with people! 😅 She also loved drawing and making badges in the kids’ area, hosted by koebenhavnsboernebiblioteker. It was such a family-friendly and welcoming space. 💙

I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to post about this before the event 🤦🏻‍♀️, but no worries—you can still find valuable information and helpful resources on International House’s website (𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘰).

If you’re new to Copenhagen (or even if you’ve been here for a while), definitely check them out! 🌟

💫 It’s hard to believe it’s already been 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 since the first weekend guide landed in your Instagram feed on June 10th last year! 🤭 Aside from a summer break in July, I’ve managed to share these guides consistently each week, and since November I’m sending them as a weekly newsletter on Substack 🤓 (𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘪𝘰)

The positive feedback I’ve received from many of you has been incredibly encouraging and motivates me to keep going. So I thought this milestone calls for a celebration! 🥳🎈

We’ll have snacks, juice, coffee, and some fun games. Come join us for a great family time! 😇

🤫 When you show up, you'll also get a chance to hear my future plans for 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 and 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 😍

Looking forward to share more with you in person 🤗

Yesterday, I attended the 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 festival at 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻. I listened to many inspiring talks (sisselhansen, soeren_ejlersen, charles_landry, lennartlajboschitz, Jonas Schmidt from designit_cph, aramob, amandabaun, thea.hoeg, kaavepour to name a few), had a delicious lunch, met new people, attended an unconference workshop by martinbloomstine where I spontaneously hosted a session about 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗂𝗇𝗏𝗂𝗌𝗂𝖻𝗅𝖾 𝗅𝖺𝖻𝗈𝗋 𝗂𝗇 𝗁𝗈𝗎𝗌𝖾𝗁𝗈𝗅𝖽 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗁𝗈𝗐 𝖼𝖺𝗇 𝗐𝖾 𝗆𝖾𝖺𝗌𝗎𝗋𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝖾𝖼𝗈𝗇𝗈𝗆𝗂𝖼 𝗏𝖺𝗅𝗎𝖾 𝗈𝖿 𝖺 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗒 𝗁𝗈𝗆𝖾 𝗉𝖺𝗋𝖾𝗇𝗍 𝖼𝗈𝗆𝗉𝖺𝗋𝖾𝖽 𝗍𝗈 𝖻𝖾𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗂𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗃𝗈𝖻 𝗆𝖺𝗋𝗄𝖾𝗍 😏 By the time I left, I had numerous ideas, a reinforced ambition, a tomato seedling, and ingredients for a cabbage fermentation process, which I later started at home 😊 All in all, it was incredibly inspiring, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s festival ✨ 2024-06-03 16:00:32 .. 27 -26% 5 +150%
darita, Oya and I spent yesterday at the bloom.festival with friends and it was once again an amazing experience both for kids and us adults 😍🌿 I was so happy to see vandanashiva1 live on stage talking about the power of seeds 💛 The kids area was also very well prepared, but even after 16:00, when the activities ended, the kids had so much fun with free play in the woods 🌳 There are also good food and drink options but you can also bring your own for a picnic. I can’t believe this festival is free 😍 You can still check it out before it ends today at 19:00. Enjoy! 🙌 2024-05-26 16:01:51 darit.. 45 +23% 0 -100%
Last year, we really enjoyed our time at the bloom.festival as a family 🌿🔍🪲 It’s such a fantastic event, bringing together science, nature, and community at Søndermarken — 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 😊🙌

This year, the festival will take place from May 24th to 26th, and once again, they’ll offer special activities for kids on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00. Let’s hope for the same lovely weather as last year 🤞 We’re looking forward to being there again 😍✨

Last week, Oya and I had an exciting camping adventure at naturcenteramager, all thanks to the “Nat i naturen” (night in nature) event that took place all over Denmark during the weekend of September 2nd to 3rd. As soon as I learned about this event, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to give camping a try with Oya! You could rent a spot in a tent for just 50 kr. They even had sleeping bags for rent and a special bonfire dinner also for 50 kr. each, but those were already sold out when I booked our tickets.

You could also bring our own tent and camp for free, but we didn’t have any camping gear, including sleeping bags and mattresses 🤭 Luckily, I had a kind colleague who generously allowed us to borrow her and her kid’s sleeping bags for the weekend 😍 So, this was an ideal chance for us to dip our toes into camping where everything was already arranged by natinaturen, and we could see if it’s something we’d want to invest in for future camping adventures 🏕️

Oya got super excited when she heard about this idea 🤩 She was determined that we needed to roast marshmallows over a bonfire to have the full camping experience (thanks to a Peppa Pig camping episode 😏). So, we went ahead and roasted marshmallows 😅 (and hotdogs 🌭). There were some scout groups and plenty of other families with kids. One of the groups was Tårnby Outdoors, and Oya got the chance to try her hand at chopping branches with one of their members. She was so kind and even allowed Oya to experiment with the musical instrument she had crafted from a piece of wood, making a vibrating sound when swung around. Oya also quickly made friends with some other kids who were sharing our tent, and she had an absolute blast throughout the entire event ❣️

🎉 KuBe is celebrating 7 Years today! 🥳 and I'm reminded of the joy it has brought to our lives. Swipe to see some of our memories from this fantastic cultural hub in Frederiksberg 📸✨

KuBe became a haven of fun and exploration for us, especially when Oya was around two and three years old. She and I used to visit there quite often with our playgroup, which warms my heart when I think of those days and those friends 💞

KuBe's famous concrete slides brought endless giggles to our kids during those times 😍 its metal spiral slide, vertical maze between floors, and the climbing net - which stretches as a net floor suspended above the ground - were usually the highlights of our visits, but there’s even more 🙈 KuBe is full of fun adventures for kids 🌟

Here's to many more years of laughter, creativity, and togetherness to all the caregivers, parents, and children who've cherished this space 🙌

Happy birthday kube.frb ! 💫🎂🎈

Over the weekend, Oya and I headed to Malmö to join the malmofestivalen with friends and we had a great time together as usual 🥰❤️ The festival had lots of fun things for kids to do 😍 Oya brought a snail from Copenhagen as a pet 🙈, which got her all inspired at the clay workshop 😇 but it seemed like her favorite was the #creart painting sets with numbers. She just couldn’t stop after painting all the numbers, so she added her own twist to the llama’s style 🦙👩🏻‍🎨😅

The Malmö Festival will continue until August 18th, and it’s completely free 👏👏

PS: Remember to take your passport with you if you’re not an EU citizen 😅 It may not feel like it and it’s easy to forget, but you’re actually traveling to another country 😁 2023-08-14 13:54:17 .. 42 +15% 0 -100%
You know Malmö is only 45 minutes away from Copenhagen, and if you haven't visited yet, the Malmö Festival might be a great excuse to do so this weekend. 😊 A special area for kids will be set up (Barnlandet), where they can enjoy a variety of activities, from weaving a wall with recycled textiles 👕 to practicing karate 🥋, building a structure with wooden battens and cable ties 🏗️, or playing mini tennis 🎾

Luckily, we have very close friends living in Malmö, so we often get to visit this beautiful city and spend time with them 🥰 We're looking forward to this weekend to see my dear tugbaokcuoglu and her family 😍 and enjoy the festival together 🙌 🎡.

You can find more information about the festival in the link in my bio 🙋🏻‍♀️

Schools open next week, and that means the vacation is over for many families 😒 Here’s an amazing festival you can enjoy for free on the last weekend of summer break: Stella Polaris 🪩✨

stellapolarisdk is an electronic music festival 🎧 🎵 taking place in the beautiful gardens of 🌿 Frederiksberg Have, where you can also chill with your kids. There will be a dedicated area for children and parents 🙌

In the videos above, you’ll see Oya and I hanging out at the festival back in 2019. I remember meeting friends from vuggestue by chance and spending a fun evening with them. The weather was also great, and I thought it was fascinating to be in such an environment with enchanting music and a kid-friendly setup 💓🎶

In the sixth video, Oya decisively says, “Let’s come here again.” Alright, we’ll be there again finally this year ☺️ Maybe we will see you also there 🙋🏻‍♀️

🦕 Just after returning from vacation, Oya and I had the best time celebrating our dear friend Aya's birthday at Dinos Legeland Ørestad! 🦖 I've heard of dinoslegeland before but didn't consider going because Oya wasn't too excited about dinosaurs 🤷🏻‍♀️ But surprise, surprise, she had so much fun! 😍 Turns out, it's not just about dinosaurs; it's a fantastic place for kids to jump, climb, slide, and more, resulting totally an incredible time! 🤩 😍 It's similar to Blegdams Remisen, which is also a great option with free entrance 😬 and just like at Remisen, you‘ll need to take off your shoes as you step inside Dinos Legeland. There's a convenient wardrobe section at the entrance where you can store your jackets, bags, and shoes. Just remember to bring along a couple of extra socks 🧦, so you can slip into fresh, clean ones before putting your shoes back on 😁

If you’re also thinking of celebrating your kid’s birthday there, you have the option to book a table for 75 minutes and get coffee/juice supplied. You can bring your own cake and snacks, but after 75 minutes, you need to leave the birthday table, and you can move to the cafe area if you like.

Check out my reels to catch a glimpse of the sections Dinos Legeland has to offer 👀 There’s also a special Mini Dinoland for the little ones aged 0-4 years, so you can escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a calmer area if that’s more what you need 😇

For more details about birthday parties, opening hours, and ticket prices, find the link in my bio 🙌

So the summer break just started this week, and you can already feel that Copenhagen is less crowded in the streets. Fewer events are happening, and almost every shop/institution has switched to maintenance mode for July ☺️ I was quite busy last month with the end of the quarter at work, plus lots of events that our family joined 😊 I was active in stories, but I couldn’t post as much as I wanted. So, here’s a dump of memories from the last month just for the record 😇

Some of the highlights :

🎭 Oya performed in the Vaiana (Moana) theater play staged by scenekunst_ as part of their mini school.

👾 Since starting school, (𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 0𝘵𝘩 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵 ☺️), she made new friends and started collecting Pokémon cards and playing online.

🍭 She got candy from candy shop for the first time in her life 🤭 #fredagslik

😕 She fell on her face, leaving marks on and around her nose 🤦🏻‍♀️ which I hope will fade away with time 🙏

🧶 She learned finger-knitting and couldn’t stop knitting since then 🙈

🥰 Lots and lots of playtime in our yard with the neighbors’ kids and her friends 😍

So now it’s time for my holiday! 🎉💃🏻 and I’m ready for a sunny July in 🇹🇷😎 2023-06-30 16:34:43 .. 38 +4% 1 -50%

You know, Copenhagen is 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 of this year 🌍🏛 and in honor of that, there will be 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗻𝗶𝗰 🍽️ 🍀 🍉 🍇 🍨 this Sunday June 11th, hosted by koebenhavnskommune arkitekturhovedstad

The event will take place across 14 districts, each inviting locals to participate in 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 at unique urban locations. With special menus and programs tailored to each spot, prices range from 50 to 200 kr. There will be guided tours, delicious food, and engaging entertainment like special performances 🤹 or concerts 🎵 varied by the location.

Although some districts have already sold out, some still have available spots. So, hurry up to get your tickets 🎟️ 😊 (𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘪𝘰)

I think it’s an excellent opportunity to feel the local vibes and connect with fellow residents - a perfect occasion to take your kids to! Once again, I truly appreciate this city, providing countless opportunities to participate in its richness actively 😇🙏

🌳🌲🎶 Ever listened to the trees? 😊 I have, thanks to the amazing book-reading-concert called 𝗟𝘆𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗿æ𝗿𝗻𝗲 (𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙨) 😇

I've seen this show with Oya four times now 🤭 and even though it's in Danish, I've been consistently impressed 💚 This unique performance combines book reading with live music and singing. Known classical music pieces blend in the narrative, occasionally accompanied by new tones and sounds. The story follows the tailor bunnies Zig and Zag, who reside beside the paper forest. As they hear a mysterious sound and try to discover its source, they engage with various trees in the forest, hoping for answers…

Without giving away too much, I can say that I truly adore the message of this story 💚

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 is primarily aimed at children aged 3 to 7. You can find upcoming dates and listen to the book’s song on their website (𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘪𝘰). Btw you can also loan the book from the libraries, if you want to check it out before seeing the concert 📚

The tailor bunnies have more books, and another one is also featured as a reading-concert: 𝗟𝘆𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻 🕰️ (𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚) 😊🎶 We will see that one this Sunday for the first time. This show suitable for kids aged 4 to 9, and I can't wait to experience it myself 😍

Today marks the beginning of Bloom, Denmark's biggest nature and science festival, taking place at Søndermarken from May 26 to 28. bloom.festival features some of the brightest researchers, scientists, philosophers, thinkers, and artists of our time, all gathered in a participatory, recreational, and sensory setting. There will be concerts, food, art installations, an open laboratory, and special events aimed at kids on weekend between 11:00 - 16:00. During these events, kids can fly rockets 🚀, go on an expedition 👣, dive into the world of insects 🪲, or discover the surprising movements of the universe, nature, and the body 🌌 🌱 👤 🤓

Did I mention that it's a free event?! 😍😍😍 Plus, with a 'Friends of Bloom' wristband, you can also get free entry to the Frederiksberg museums (Cisternerne, Bakkehuset, Møstings Hus, and Storm) during the festival 😊 👌

We'll definitely be stopping by the Kids scene on weekend. Maybe we'll see you there! 🤗

It was a nice surprise to find out this tiny theater scene detlilleteater.marionetteatret at Kongens Have when Oya and I spontanously ran into a play there four years ago. Now I just learned from bette.cafe that they’re staging a new play this season 😊

🎭 The name of the play is “Sol står op, fugl falder ned” (Sun rises, bird falls down) and it will be staged until 23 July - totally free 🤩

It’s for kids 2 years old and up:

Show times:
Tuesday-Friday at 10.00 & 11.00 (20 May - 23 June)
Tuesday-Friday at 14.00 & 15.00 (24 June - 21 July)

Saturday-Sunday at 14.00 & 15.00 (entire period)

In Denmark, birthdays are extra significant, celebrated with Danish flags 🇩🇰 and special birthday songs 🎶 Everyone sings for the birthday kid and pretend-plays an instrument of the kid’s choice while singing 🥁 🎺 🎹 🎸😇

This Sunday, it’s Denmark’s Queen’s birthday, and it is a tradition for people to gather in front of the castle in Amalienborg, waiting for the Queen and the royal family to step out onto the balcony to greet her on this special day. Many people come with Danish flags and wave them as they sing birthday songs to the Queen.

Personally, I find it weird to have monarchies still around in the year 2023 😅 But I have to admit that it’s kind of intriguing for me to see a real queen in real life 🙈 You can also imagine how excited kids get with the idea of seeing an actual princess/prince 👸🤴

When Oya was little and got interested in princesses, castles, etc., I took her to Amalienborg to show where the royal family lives 🏰 and the soldiers on duty💂🏻‍♀️ but we have never been there on a queen’s birthday (it did not happen in the last five years anyway. For the first two years, the Queen was in Aarhus during her birthday and the following years was not possible due to corona restrictions) Although you can see the royal family on other occasions in daily life, I don’t follow their schedules closely 😅 so we never ran into them before, unlike some of Oya’s friends. Finally, this Sunday at noon, we’ll get to see the Queen waving from the balcony of her castle 👋

Let’s see if it will feel like a fairy tale 😜🧚‍♀️

Hey there! Happy Easter! 🐣 It’s been a while since you heard from us because Oya and I visited our family in Turkey for almost two weeks. But we’re back in Copenhagen now and excited for our Easter dinner at absaloncph tonight 😋 Let’s see if this becomes our Easter tradition 😏

The city is pretty quiet during Easter, many shops are closed and many people travel. If you’re still in town and wondering what to do, I’ve put together a list of egg hunts, workshops, and special events that might be fun for kids 🐣 You can find the links in my bio or my stories as usual :)

dgibyen is hosting a free event where you can paint Easter eggs and cut out funny letters (gækkebreve) for your loved ones. They’re also running a treasure hunt, and if you post a picture of your Easter eggs or letters on Instagram, you could win a gift basket!

bloxkbh is hosting a workshop where kids can paint eggs, cut out Easter bunnies and chickens, and make other crafts. They also provide face painting and an Easter goody bag for the participating children. It’s on April 9th, costing 50 kr. per child (0-2 years are free).

designmuseumdanmark is offering a workshop where you can design and paint your own silk scarf and go hunting for Easter eggs in the garden. It’s running until April 10th. You don’t need a museum ticket to participate in the workshop, but it costs 50 kr. per silk scarf.

smkmuseum is also hosting family-friendly activities, including a family tour (for kids aged four and up) at their newest Carl Bloch exhibition. There’s also a butcher’s workshop where you can create goods for the butcher’s shelves inspired by Carl Bloch’s paintings. Then there’s the children’s workshop, as usual, running from April 8th to 10th, and all these are free with a museum entrance ticket.

And lastly, reffen_copenhagenstreetfood has hidden nine large eggs that the Easter bunny left behind. You can join the fun until April 10th from 12:00-16:00. It’s free to enter!

I hope you find something you like on the list and have a wonderful Easter 🤗

Today is the last day of the literature festival for children - we love books #vielskerbøger2023 ❤️📚Unfortunately, I could not take Oya to any of the events this year, and we won’t be able to attend today either 😕 but I remember the one in 2019. At that time, she joined a couple of workshops in the main library at Nørreport and the library in Østerbro. We also saw a theater play of Andersen’s Tin Soldier tale then, which was probably the first real theater play Oya saw when she was 2 years old 🎭 😍

Today’s festival program is full of exciting activities (𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴). It’s just a shame that we can’t attend any of them this time 😔 The program is organized to attract kids of different ages, with events tagged for age groups 0-2, 3-6, 7-10, and 11-14. Today is packed with so many exciting options all over the libraries in Copenhagen. Below, you’ll see a list of all the libraries in Copenhagen. I suggest you check out your local library’s posts and stories to see what you can do today 🤓

I hope you can join one of these activities 🤞 We love books! 😇 ❤️ 📚

TGIF 🙌 and today is Oya’s favorite activity day! 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️ She is participating in ODK Gymnastics Association’s parent-child group with either me or my husband, and she LOVES it! 🤩

Honestly, we tried another club first because their facilities were closer to where we live. We tried both a parent-child group and a solo children’s group for her age there (when she was 4 and 5), but she lost her motivation pretty quickly each time after the start. Then, a friend recommended gymnastikforeningen_odk, so we decided to give it another shot 🙂 Now, she’s counting down the days to Friday, having so much fun this time, and so am I! 😍 It’s really enjoyable! We have a fantastic teacher who volunteers to train this group. They will also have an end-of-year show together with all other groups when the season ends in June.

Each class starts with warming up by running around while listening to fun songs. Then, the parents carry out the training props we will use for the day, and of course, the kids love to help with that 😇 Once the parkour is set, the kids just go and have fun taking turns using each prop. When the time is up for the class, we move all the props back to the storage room and end the session with a final massage for our kids, pretending they’re pizza doughs 🍕 that we “eat” with kisses at the end 😚😚😚 Then we say goodbye with a “farvel” song, and that’s it for the day! 🤗

It's time for the Little Culture Night! 🏛️😍 This Friday, between 16:00-20:00, many different venues in Copenhagen will offer special events for children between the ages of 2-5 and 6-12, all taking place before bedtime 😉

🎟️ The pass for kulturnatten costs 110 kr. for adults (12 years old and up) and is free for kids under 12 years old - yeay! The pass is also valid as a travel ticket for buses, trains, and metros in the city on the same day 😊

With so many attractive options, it's hard to choose where to go. We've selected a few spots based on Oya's current interests, but I'm not sure if we can make it to all of them 🙈

🚀 We'll most likely start at designmuseumdenmark for a space travel adventure where we'll also create an imaginary planet. Then, we'll head to nikolajkunsthal to explore how red and blue sound like ⭕🔹🎶 After that, we want to go to the kobenhavnsmuseum where you can see past Copenhagen life through the eyes of a child who lived back then 👀 Kids also have the chance to go treasure hunting for items from the artist huskmitnavn1, and maybe even win a playful poster. After that, if we still have time and energy, I think we'll head to kulturhusindreby for the children's disco 🎧🎵💃🕺

Let's see if we can manage to do everything! I'll keep you posted 🙂 I suggest you to also study the program and make your plan beforehand 🤓 You can find links to more events in the stories 🤗
