I’m honored to announce that I’ve been invited to serve as the Design Chair for the 2025 flowermagazine Showhouse! This year’s showcase boasts an all-star line up of talented designers, and I’m thrilled to be “in the trenches” with them as we transform a mansion in Nashville, TN for a charitable cause.

To that end, here’s the first rendered glimpse of our interior design plans for the Gentleman’s Study! We’re giving the traditional equestrian look a fresh interpretation, starting with a spectacular mindtgap wallcovering choice for the ceiling! Swipe left to see more of the rapid progress of our room’s renovation.

The showhouse opens for tours October 9—so please secure your tickets now at flowermag.com/showhouse! Special thanks to diane_carnevale for her superb artistry in producing this watercolor art piece.

✨ Today’s the day! ✨ IT’S HERE!!! I’m beyond thrilled to celebrate the worldwide release of my new book, “Design Reimagined: A Fresh & Colorful Take On Timeless Rooms.” This labor of love represents some of our firm’s most recent work since 2021, distilled into one beautiful coffee table tome—and I’m truly humbled to see it come to life in print.

None of this would be possible without so many extraordinary collaborators. First, to our gracious clients—we are indebted to you for opening your homes and allowing us to share your stories with the world! A heartfelt thank you to the incomparable Amy Astley, Editorial Director of Architectural Digest, for penning such a moving Foreword.

We also had an All-Star team producing this project. Special thanks to Andrew Frasz, Doug Turshen, Steve Turner, and Kyle Hoepner, all under the leadership of our brilliant editor, Kathleen Jayes, and Rizzoli’s publisher, Charles Miers. Thanks to the indomitable Jessica Napp and my publicist Laura Bindloss, and her fantastic team at Nylon PR, for getting the word out there about this project.

To my incredible team at Corey Damen Jenkins & Associates: your talent, passion, and dedication shines in everything we do. I couldn’t have produced this book without you. 💛 All ships rise in the tide!

Finally, I can’t wait for this book to find its way into all of YOUR hands out there! Thank YOU for your generous support—it means so very much to me. Here’s to everyone dreaming big, embracing beauty, and reimagining design together. Long live print!!! 🙏🏾❤️

🎬 Exciting news! We’re on location filming Season 2 of “Design Reimagined” with Emmy + Peabody Award–winning producer Rich Bye and his incredible team!

Season 1 took us inside the gut renovation of a historic apartment overlooking Central Park. Now, Season 2 transports us to the Hamptons—where we’re transforming a sprawling coastal retreat into something truly spectacular.

As many of you know, “Design Reimagined” is the first streaming series ever to be directly inspired by a coffee table book—and you’ll see this very home featured in print in Chapter 2 of my upcoming book, “Design Reimagined: A Fresh & Colorful Take On Timeless Rooms” (rizzolibooks)!

So much is taking shape here, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you—and all for the love of design! 💫

True Story: It was 2008, I had been laid off from my corporate job, and was now working in a trade-only fabric showroom as a memo librarian. My job involved servicing other designers by carrying art and furnishings to their cars. I also set the showroom’s vignettes, vacuumed, changed light bulbs—you get the point. I saw a lot, heard a lot—but when I decided to step out from behind the scenes—in true “CinderFella” fashion—and launch my own design firm, not everyone welcomed me in.

In fact, four local decorators conspired together to spread a vicious rumor claiming I was literally trying to poach their clients. It was a mean-spirited lie, but I was the new kid on the block and naturally it spread quickly. As a result, I was met with gatekeeping everywhere I turned—simple questions like, “Who’s the best wallpaper installer in town?” were answered with evasions and excuses. Doors were slammed shut before I could even knock. Eventually I was fully vindicated, but not before my self-esteem took a hit.

Albeit delayed, I found my footing. I built relationships with talented contractors, created opportunities for myself, and slowly climbed the ladder of success. But I never forgot how painful those early years were. And I made a promise to myself: if I ever had the privilege of reaching higher ground, I would never pull the ladder up behind me.

That promise became one of the driving forces behind my new book, “Design Reimagined”. Yes, it contains the kind of interiors and design inspiration you’d expect. But it’s also filled with candid stories, hard-won life lessons, and words of encouragement for anyone who has ever felt shut out, unworthy, or like they don’t belong.

Because I believe that design—at its best—isn’t just about creating beautiful rooms. It’s also about reminding people that they DO belong, that they DO have something to contribute, and that there’s always a way forward, no matter how many doors get closed.

Here’s the book’s dedication. For those who love beauty and creativity—but also for those who could use a reminder that they are seen, and their dreams matter. Broken crayons still color, and delays do not mean denial.—CDJ 2025-08-26 20:27:28 .. 1,079 -15% 115 +53%

I’m thrilled to announce that our firm has been invited to participate in the 50th Anniversary Kips Bay Decorators Showhouse! We’ll be designing the Formal Dining Room. This is our third time designing a room for the Kips Bay charity—our first presentation was 2019’s “To The Lady Of The House, With Love”—the ladies library pictured above.

Our design theme is “Dining Through The Looking Glass”, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s 1871 novel. In the storyline, Alice pushes through an oversized mirror hanging over a fireplace mantel and finds herself transported to a world brimming with fantasy and magic—where everything is upside down and backwards. Similarly, our design for this dining room will take a classic traditional interior, turn it on its head, and reimagine it through a modern lens. The result will be a whimsical experience that embraces bold color combinations, luxurious patterns, and textural nuances with a maximalist vibe.

As a member of the Kips Bay Board of Trustees, my focus here is two-fold: First, our primary goal is to raise funds and awareness for the 11,000 children we care for at our clubs in NYC. Our collective creative talents can help make a difference in the lives of these children who really need support and encouragement. Second, as an interior designer, I want to create a bold, maximalist dining room that is memorable, inspiring, and really gets folks excited to come back and tour the show house over and over again. The more guests come to see our designers’ beautiful rooms, the more money we raise for our kids. And since this is our NYC Showhouse’s 50th anniversary, our mission is more poignant than ever!

This year’s house will bring together the crème de la crème of the American interior design community, and we are thrilled to be joining forces with our colleagues for this all-important cause. We open to the public September 30th. Swipe left to see our all-star lineup for 2025, and I hope to meet many of you in the Dining Room…through the Looking Glass!—CDJ

The moment has arrived! The Season One finale of “Design Reimagined with Corey Damen Jenkins” premieres TODAY—and it’s overflowing with heartfelt moments, joy and surprises at every turn! 💫

Throughout our first season, you’ve seen exclusive sneak peeks of erikafayejones’ Upper East Side apartment renovation—revealed room by room—before Erika herself ever set eyes on the finished space. But in this final episode, the tables turn!

✨ For the first time, Erika returns home after three weeks away—having never seen any of the wallcoverings, lighting, furnishings, or artwork installed. In fact, the last time she visited the construction site, the apartment was still a blank white box. We had our cameras rolling as she stepped off the private elevator and walked into her completed home for the very first time. Every reaction, every emotion is captured—raw, real, and unscripted! Even I got a little emotional—this one’s special. 🥹

Plus, this finale features spaces you haven’t seen in our previous episodes! From unexpected design details to hidden rooms, the grand tour is full of jaw-dropping moments! 🎥 Tune in to our official YouTube channel now, subscribe, and join us for this unforgettable ending to Season One.

And the journey doesn’t stop here—Seasons 2 and 3 are already in production! Next, we’ll be following the transformation of the stunning coastal estate featured in Chapter Two of my new book “Design Reimagined: A Fresh & Colorful Take On Timeless Rooms”, hitting shelves worldwide on September 2, 2025. I’ve just received 2 really exciting bits of news! First, the release date for my new Rizzoli book, “Design Reimagined” has not only changed—it’s been pushed UP! It will now be in stores 30 days from now on September 2nd, 2025!

The second update? Even before its debut, the new book has officially gone into its first reprint! 🙌🏾🥹

It was important to me that “Design Reimagined” wouldn’t be just another coffee table book filled with pretty pictures. With the incredible support of our partners at rizzolibooks, we set out to create something truly unique—a tome filled with bold, colorful interiors but also meaningful life lessons I’ve picked up throughout my career. My hope is that sharing some of my own personal struggles will be encouraging to our readers, especially those who are facing career crossroads or looking to break through other challenges in life. And as seen on my masterclass (and similar to its predecessor “Design Remix”) “Design Reimagined” features generous “How To” sections—chock-full of tips and tricks of the trade to decorate your home.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting a series of behind-the-scenes moments from the making of “Design Reimagined”. Stay tuned—it’s going to be a beautiful ride!

#Lincoln_Ambassador Whether it’s a home or a vehicle, strong design always comes down to this: seeing the big picture, obsessing over the small details, and creating something that feels personal. I recently completed a project in Bridgehampton, New York, and after several months of being a lincoln ambassador, I kept noticing the design parallels between our worlds.

In my projects, I always consider the emotional impact the designs will have on our clients just as much as the outward aesthetics. Bold choices—even subtle ones—can help spark emotion, invite conversation, and leave a lasting impression. The creative design team at Lincoln have the same goals in mind when creating the memorable, outstanding details that get people talking.

I often say I love when our work inspires others to take creative leaps for themselves, and I hope the energy of our two brands inspires you to do the same for yourself. #LincolnAviator

#Lincoln_Ambassador Zach Shea at Gracie is truly one of the best. He welcomed me into their New York studio—a smaller version of their operation in Asia, but a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet corner of Queens.

Listening to Zach and the artists describe their process reminded me of my creative collaboration with the Lincoln team last year for the Sanctuary House and the 2025 Lincoln Navigator® SUV reveal. Delicate lines that inspire calm, natural elements that help ground us, colors that help relax the mind, and symmetry that helps bring balance—all shared values in both worlds of design.

A big thank-you to the Gracie team for letting us in and sharing their story. The inspiration continues… #LincolnAviator

🚿✨ The One Room Everyone Uses, Every Single Day? Yep—it’s the bathroom! But I believe *you* can *do* so much more with your *loo*(See what I did there? 🤓)! Bathrooms can be more than merely functional—they also offer incredible opportunities to showcase inspired design!

This week’s new episode of “Design Reimagined with Corey Damen Jenkins” dives deep into the art of the bathroom, featuring every single bath space in erikafayejones’ stunning Manhattan apartment.

#Lincoln_Ambassador Most people don’t realize just how much thoughtful design surrounds us every day. From the façade of a building to the stitching in a seat, every detail is shaped by artists and designers who pour talent and intention into their work. Each decision—big or small—is made with care to help enhance how we live, move, and experience the world. That includes your home, your vehicle, and even the art you walk past without a second thought.

Once again, lincoln and I teamed up to explore the intersection of art, function, and luxury—and how they come together through thoughtful design.

We don’t often get to meet the creatives behind these choices—the ones who leave a lasting impression once the work is complete. One of my favorite examples? Hand-painted murals and wallcoverings. They’re a true expression of luxury design, though they’re often only fully appreciated once they’re on the wall.

So, I visited my friends at graciestudio for a behind-the-scenes look at how their exquisite murals come to life—and how their artistic decisions echo the thoughtful design found in Lincoln vehicles.

Stay tuned for part two…

Transforming A NYC Bedroom Into A Peaceful Retreat! That’s the title of Episode 4 of “Design Reimagined with Corey Damen Jenkins”—and it premieres TODAY at 2 PM EST on our official YouTube channel! 🎥✨

For this principal bedroom designed for the fabulous erikafayejones, we took the maximalist energy from the apartment’s formal rooms and reimagined it through a softer, dreamier lens. Think: apricot, taupe, crème, rose, and aqua—all grounded by a jaw-dropping custom graciestudio chinoiserie wall covering (yes, we customized the mural’s exact color palette right down to the last bird and flower petal!). The bed, bench, and swivel chairs? All designed exclusively by our team for Erika.

But that’s not all… 👀 This private owner’s retreat is full of unexpected secrets and elegant surprises waiting to be discovered. Let’s go behind the curtain together!💫 Hit the subscribe button on our YT channel so you don’t miss out on brand new episodes and shorts streaming weekly!

Big news day! Thrilled and deeply honored to be named to ELLE DECOR’s prestigious A-List for 2025! ABOUT THIS ROOM: This charming coastal home was originally built in 1845 for a sea captain, and the foyer tells a story all its own. With the dramatic, sinewy staircase taking center stage and virtually no room for furniture, we let the architecture lead the design.

To add depth and detail, we ran a five-inch band of embroidered trim along the top of the baseboard—one of my favorite uses of passementerie—for a hit of unexpected color and texture. Paired with the antelope runner, the staircase becomes a bold, sculptural moment.

A curated grouping of antique oars, vintage artwork, and sconces finishes this tableau and draws the eye into the expansive family room beyond. Proof that even the smallest foyers can make a big impression!

From the front cover of my upcoming book “Design Reimagined: A Fresh & Colorful Take On Timeless Rooms releasing September 9th on Rizzoli!

“How does the blue sofa tie in?” This was a recurring question online after a cropped image of this family room went viral last week. Here’s the full image and context of how that bold design choice came to life!

The rich blue hue was drawn from several key elements in the space: the vibrant waterways depicted in the graciestudio “Kano Gardens” hand-painted wall mural, subtle blue accents in the oriental rug, and the striking nearby butler’s pantry (swipe left!). That pantry features a custom geometric backsplash—a fusion of glass and foil—from annsacks, creating a luminous backdrop for the crystal and barware collection our client, erikafayejones, has collected during her travels around the globe.

This family room is a celebration of global design influences—from Egypt and Morocco to Greece, Rome, and beyond. Primary jewel tones—emerald green, ruby red, and sapphire blue—take center stage, each echoing their historic associations with royalty. The result? A richly layered space full of eclectic exuberance.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! When I got laid off during the Great Recession, I had two choices: find another job in the auto industry or shake things up, and reimagine my future. I chose the latter, and after knocking on 779 doors in freezing Metro-Detroit, I landed my first client and launched my interior design career.

Life’s all about reinvention. Whether it’s love, career, or your home, ultimately we control the narrative. And so today, I’m thrilled to announce the premiere of my new aptly-titled streaming series, “Design Reimagined with Corey Damen Jenkins”, this Thursday at 2 PM EST on the YouTube platform!

WHAT IT’S ABOUT: The first season transforms a prewar Manhattan apartment for my client, erikafayejones. The series is all about empowering YOU to make bold design choices with confidence. Fast-paced, colorful, and relatable!

WHY IT’S DIFFERENT: Unlike most design shows, we keep it real—no fake budgets or disingenuous timelines. Each episode wraps up with jaw-dropping room reveals and practical design tips anyone can use!

WHY IT’S GROUNDBREAKING: This is the first streaming series ever designed as a complement to an upcoming coffee table book! The tome of inspiration, “Design Reimagined: A Fresh & Colorful Take On Timeless Rooms” (Rizzoli) releases September 9th. Produced by Emmy Award-winning Goodbye Pictures, and filmed entirely in 4K, this first-of-its-kind series will also bring premium, TV-quality content to the YT platform!

I am so excited that my next Rizzoli book will be preceded by a streaming series that ties into its front cover story. We love to shake things up! And trust me, this is just the beginning of what’s to come! Subscribe now (link in my profile) and get ready for Episode 1!*

Designing decorative lighting has long been one of my career dreams! I’ve always believed that the right chandelier or pair of lamps can transport a room from “just okay” to The Realm of The Wow. Well today, I am absolutely ecstatic to announce that we’ve joined forces with Eichholtz, an incredible global partner and long-time resource, to produce my collaborative lighting collection! This robust collection of chandeliers, flush mounts, sconces, table and floor lamps will be available through their extensive network of retailers and dealers around the world. I’m honored to be the first interior design licensor in The Netherlands-based brand’s 33+ year history.⁣
⁣
You guys know I’m always keen to be a design disruptor, so we are aiming to shake things up with this new line of decorative lighting. Unusual organic shapes, new interpolations of antique fixtures, and motifs from bygone eras are but a few of the ingredients we’re working with to push the envelope. We are also excited to bring materialities and textures into orbit that hereto haven’t been used for lighting.⁣
⁣
𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘑𝘦𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘌𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘵𝘻 will launch overseas in Europe at the top of 2026, and to The States soon thereafter. We’ll be chronicling the entire development of the line from inspiration, to prototypes, to production, to release worldwide over the next several months for an exclusive peek into our collaborative process.
