The math doesn’t lie… but it might shock you. 🤯

Let’s look at what might happen if you invest AED 10,000 every month for 20 years and achieve a 7% annual return:

💸 Traditional advisor fees: You lose AED 628,300 just to fees.

💰 DIY investing: You keep almost all of it, paying AED 385 upfront to learn how.

That’s 628,300 dirhams that could be funding your retirement, your children’s education, or that dream home – instead of someone else’s.

I’m not here to criticise all financial advisors or say they should never be used. Definitely not.

Many provide valuable expertise, especially for complex investments, tax planning, and strategic wealth management.

But paying 1%+ every single year for something as simple as buying and holding ETFs?

That’s money you don’t need to spend.

With the right guidance, you can:

✨ Research and select low-cost ETFs

✨ Open and fund your investment account

✨ Place trades with confidence

✨ Build a diversified portfolio that grows over time

When you understand the process, you stop being dependent on expensive advisors for basic investing decisions.

Even if you continue working with an advisor, this knowledge empowers you to have confident, informed conversations about your money and the returns you should expect.

As opposed to blindly handing your money over to someone and hoping they know what they are doing with it. You will better equiped to have empowered conversations with your financial advisor, and more confidently push them for better returns if they are only achieving what you know you could achieve on your own.

On Sunday, October 5th, I’m walking 10 women step-by-step through exactly how to do this.

💜 One workshop = AED 385

💜 Potential savings = hundreds of thousands over your lifetime

The link is in my bio.

Your future self will thank you. ✨

Most business owners in the UAE focus only on filing VAT or corporate tax returns…
but did you know that failing to update your FTA account when you renew your trade licence, Emirates ID, or passport could cost you AED 10,000? 😱

This is one of the most common compliance mistakes I see and it’s completely avoidable (now you know!)

Here’s what to do:
✅ Update your details on EmaraTax/FTA portal within 20 business days of renewal.
✅ Double-check all business info, including authorised signatories.
✅ Keep proof of submission for your records.

I’ve created a free UAE Tax Compliance Checklist to help you stay organised and avoid unnecessary fines.

The real question isn't WHAT you should do with your money.

It's WHY 🎯

✨ What are you actually trying to achieve with this expenditure?
✨ Is your money helping you life how your want or get you where you want to be in life?
✨ Or are you getting sucked into things that don't bring you joy or move you toward your goals?

We ALL get caught up in this at some point. It's inevitable and constant, no matter where you are in life.

The key is coming back to YOUR truth.

Focsuing on what do YOU want? And what feels aligned with your values and dreams?

Your money should be a tool for YOUR life, not everyone else's expectations or influence 💪

Reflecting on the_wild_ceo, Lumina Workshop, thinking back on all the powerful conversations we had about money, women, and financial freedom. ✨

Emma created a space where we could all share, discuss and be really open with each other. It was a fantastic day that reminded me of the power of women coming together, without competition, judgement, expectation - just curiosity, respect, desire to help, share and learn from each other ❤️

My talk focused on why women feel and behave the way we do with money and how money mindsets are impacting our every day world - relationships, self-esteem, stress levels

➡️That hesitation when someone asks your rate or your salary expectations

➡️That quiet voice saying “charge less” or ‘expect less’

➡️That uneasy feeling when you check your bank balance.

➡️The hesitation to follow up on unpaid invoices for fear of offending or looking agressive or greedy.

These aren’t signs that you’re doing something wrong (something we are very good at telling ourselves!)

They’re signs that your money story needs a little care and curiosity.

Your money mindset is as personal as your signature.

It shapes how you price, spend, save - and how confident you feel in your work.

A lot of the women I work with speak about wanting financial freedom.

Not excess. Not greed. Just ease. Peace. Options.

To build a life that feels secure and aligned.

But you can’t create that freedom if you’re undercharging or ignoring your numbers.

Here’s what to try this week:

✨ Spend 15 minutes looking at your numbers. No judgement- just see what’s there.

📝 Write one clear pricing intention. Something like: 2025-09-07 10:58:31 .. 29 +16% 3 -20%
When you talk about money from a place of uncertainty, deference, or doubt, you’ll often meet with pushback, silence, or disrespect.

Because the world mirrors the energy we lead with.

I’ve coached women who were told “that’s not possible” when asking for better investments, “you can’t charge that much” when pricing their services, or “don’t worry about it” when they had questions about money.

But after doing the mindset and energy work, after learning to speak with grounded clarity and belief in their own value……something shifts.

Suddenly, people stop arguing back.

They listen.

They treat you as an equal.

Why? Because you are showing up as an equal.

The language of money doesn’t have to be masculine or hard. But it does need to be rooted in self-respect.

If you’ve ever felt ignored or talked down to in a financial conversation, check in with the energy you brought into that room.

And then decide how you want to show up next time, how would you change your language?

Because confidence isn’t about knowing everything. It’s about believing in yourself while you learn.

Living in the UAE comes with perks we all see - but what about the stuff nobody talks about?

No safety net. No government pension. Visa renewals every few years. Being far from family when life hits hard. For many of us, especially women on spouse visas, there's this underlying anxiety about financial security that we rarely discuss openly.

Do you have a cash cushion?

Typically, it's known as Emergency Funds or Rainy Day Funds, but I find that language heavy with negativity and scarcity.

Who gets excited about saving for some unknown disaster that may or may not be looming?

The language we use regarding money is crucial.

We have to be realistic, surprises are a part of life but I refuse to promote the energy of fear and scarcity that ‘rainy day’ and ‘emergency’ creates.

Instead, I call it my ‘cash cushion’, it’s purpose is both welcome and not so welcome surprises - focusing on the energy of possibility - regardless of what happens, I've taken care of myself and given myself choices by creating a soft financial landing to bounce back from. 💫

What do you think?

Does language make a difference to your motivation and feelings around money habits?

Where do I get the most thanks from clients over the years?

It’s not the spreadsheets (though they do love those too!). It’s their mindset and emotional shift.

The emails, DMs and voice notes I receive are often like this:

“I want to thank you so much. My mindset is so much healthier around money. My feelings about money have totally changed, and it's improved my life on so many levels. I am so much less stressed, and money is actually flowing more than ever before. And sometimes I have to pinch myself.”

What’s changed isn’t just numbers, it’s their relationship and their trust in themselves.

They no longer spiral when surprises come up.

They don’t avoid their bank accounts.

They’re making confident money decisions.

They believe in themselves more.

They feel more free 💫

I never promise to teach anyone how to make millions.

What I promise is to help you create the kind of clarity, energy, and confidence that makes you ready to receive more. To feel abundant without millions and carrot constantly moving.

💫 Want to shift your money mindset? Start here:

1. Notice how you speak about money. Words like “I’m terrible with money” or “I can’t afford it” often come from fear, not fact.

2. Ask yourself: What does money mean to me? Is it safety? Power? Freedom? You can’t have a healthy relationship with money if you don’t even know what it means to you.

3. Check in with your emotions when you spend. Does spending make you feel guilty? Anxious? Excited? Numb? Understand what's behind the emotion is so powerful.

4. Stop waiting for a number to feel safe. Feeling secure is an inside job. I’ve seen women with 6-figure savings still feel terrified, and women just starting out who radiate calm - because they’ve shifted their mindset and relationship with money.

I'm lucky to be regularly asked on panels to speak about money.

Recently, I spoke on one at a typical finance summit.

You know the kind - super masculine energy with men hugely outnumbering women, super cars parked outside for photo ops, more money on wrists than in some retirement funds ⌚, and a sea of slick suits and slicked-back hair 👔

I was the only woman on the panel. Not unusual, unfortunately and at first, I thought nothing of it.

But the conversations both on stage and off weren’t entirely what I’d hoped for. Blantant sexism threaded into the comments, with the usual tired comparisons between men and women and how we 2025-08-23 11:48:33 .. 58 +132% 15 +299%

When we talked about moving from money fear to money confidence, I could see so many shift in their seats.

Here's what I shared:

🌟 Your relationship with money is deeply connected with your relationship with yourself and your sense of your place in this world

🌟 Values-driven financial decisions create sustainable wealth

🌟 Confidence comes from clarity, not just numbers

🌟 Purpose-led money management transforms everything - both the practical and the emotional

Watching founders light up and shift from scarcity thinking to an abundance mindset in real time reminded me why I love this work so much 💕

Whether you're building a business or building personal wealth, it all starts with getting clear on what truly matters to you. When your money habits align with your values, everything becomes easier and starts to flow.

We've been conditioned to believe that wanting more money makes us greedy, but building wealth makes men strategic 🤔

When women talk about investment goals, we're often met with raised eyebrows and subtle pushback.

But when men do it? They're being smart, responsible and forward-thinking.

I see this pattern everywhere.

In client sessions, women too often are sheepish about sharing their financial dreams.

The most peaceful relationship with money comes when your spending aligns with your values.

When I identified that financial security, connection, and safety were core to who I am, it all became so much clearer. My money choices became intentional rather than reactive. ✨

Your values are your financial compass.🧭

👉If family connection is one of your core values, then spending money on experiences that bring you together makes perfect sense.

👉If creativity fuels your soul, investing in art supplies or that pottery class isn't frivolous spending - it's value-aligned living.

👉If security matters most, building that cash cushion fund becomes a form of self-care, not deprivation or scarcity.

Your values will help you cut through the noise and make decisions that actually serve your life.

Anyone else feel like this is their cycle with money?!

Affirmations and mindset shifts are powerful and an important part of the process, but they’re not shortcuts.

You can’t skip the healing, ignore the habits, or bypass the actual numbers.

The universe won't deliver abundance on vibes alone.
You need to do the work!

✨ Want real, long-lasting abundance? Here’s what you need to do:

🧠 Pair the mindset work with action - review your spending habits, create a budget, implement a plan.

🎯 Focus on financial literacy as much as your abundance mindset - read books, blogs, listen to podcasts

💬 Financial gratitude is key - speak gratitude when you pay for something, give thanks when you get paid, acknowledge where things are going well financially.

Note down where you are already abundant 👀

Look at your bank account - remove the fear. Your bank balance is not your financial enemy; procrastination is.

🙏 Respect money - money is important, acknowledge it. Don’t waste or give away money because you feel it’s not worth the effort.

⚡ Make empowered, grounded decisions - watch your emotions when spending or making money decisions. Don’t make decisions when in a heightened emotional state or as a reaction to an emotion like sadness, frustration, or anger.

Otherwise… well… nothing will change 🤷‍♀

After every talk I give, the same thing happens.

Women come up to me with relief in their eyes, a hand on their chest, and say:

“That’s exactly how I feel.”

“I feel like you were talking directly to me.”

They thought they were the only one.

The only one who doesn’t understand investing.

Who feels overwhelmed by the jargon.

Who worries they’ll lose everything if they get it wrong.

Who can’t understand why their partner talks about money so easily, when they feel anxious or unsure.

Here’s what I want more women to know:

💡 You’re not “bad” with money.

💡 You’re not risk-averse - you’re risk-aware.

💡 Wanting safety isn’t weakness. It’s intergenerational wisdom.

You don’t have to change who you are to be financially confident.

You just need the right support - one that meets you where you are, without judgment.

This is what I do.

If you’re tired of feeling behind, or like money isn’t for you - let’s change that.

Most of us set up our cards once and forget about them.

But there's a simple hack that acts like a security guard for your money few people know about 💳🛡️

When you get a new card, it comes with spending limits set by default.

That's like leaving your front door wide open with a welcome mat and not realising it!

But you have the power to change it. Right now, in your banking app, you can:

✨ Lower your daily transfer limits to what you actually need

✨ Turn off ATM withdrawals if you don't use them regularly (very NB for credit cards)

✨ Disable international transactions unless you're traveling

✨ Switch off online spending when you're not shopping

In June I had the honour of speaking to a group of incredible women who are in recovery from breast cancer about money, mindset, and starting their own businesses.

During the break, one of the women commented to me how she noticed no one was on their phone during my talk.

No one checked out.

Every woman was completely present.

Another woman told me she'd never seen a group so engaged.

That’s the power of talking about money in a real, human way.

It’s not just about budgets and forecasts. It’s about how money makes us feel.

And that always matters but especially in times of stress or when we’re healing.

Money is still the #1 cause of stress globally. And we carry that stress in our bodies. Especially as women.

We need more safe spaces to talk about money openly. With compassion. Without shame. This work isn’t just financial it’s emotional, energetic, and deeply personal.

If you’re navigating recovery, rebuilding, or just rethinking your relationship with money you are not alone. 💗

💬 “I’m just not good with money.”

I hear this from women all the time.

But here’s the truth:

📊 When women invest, we tend to outperform men.

🧾 We are great budgeters.

🧠 We are great researchers.

💡 We manage the daily financial reality of families and businesses every single day.

So why do so many of us still believe we’re not financially capable?

Because we’ve been taught that money isn’t our domain.

Because the financial world was built by men, for men - and it’s made to feel complicated.

Because we were conditioned to believe we need permission to be here.

I see this in:

👩‍💼 The executive who handles multi-million dollar deals but freezes at picking her own investments.

👩‍💻 The business owner who grew her brand from scratch but avoids retirement planning.

👩‍👧 The mum who manages the entire household budget but calls herself “bad with money.”

The gap isn’t in knowledge.

It’s in confidence.

It’s in permission.

✨ Permission to take up space.

✨ Permission to trust your gut.

✨ Permission to make mistakes and keep going.

You're already good with money. Believe it!

💬 What’s one money belief you’re ready to challenge today?
