Meet Noa, her parent's miracle child.

Noa is no stranger to our halls and has traveled from North Georgia for treatment at our Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. During the last year of treatment, she was rarely seen without a smile on her face. Thanks to her bond with her care team, the two-year-old is not afraid of her monthly appointments that can include everything from blood work and sedation to lumbar punctures.

Noa is still on her journey with us, but her family is looking forward to September 2026, when they anticipate her cancer treatment will come to an end and she can move on to her next miracle. 2025-09-13 06:22:09 Meet Noa, her parent's mi.. 915 -16% 16 -29%

A mother’s intuition and a unique treatment regimen helped Alex “Hulk smash” his tumor. 👊

When Alex's parents adopted him, they knew he potentially had a genetic syndrome and that his biological father had a kidney disease. Despite showing no symptoms, his mom listened to her gut and had Alex's kidneys scanned.

An ultrasound showed no signs of kidney disease, but instead, revealed a mass. One of his kidneys was immediately removed, and Alex came to our Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center where he was diagnosed with a malignant rhabdoid tumor and received a bold treatment regimen.

Today, Alex no longer focuses on smashing his tumor. Instead, he plays with his favorite superhero, The Hulk, and is thriving in pre-K with his friends. 2025-09-05 03:45:10 A mother’s intui.. 1,192 +9% 15 -33%

Canaan fell in love with theater in fifth grade, right around the same time he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. When his world changed behind the scenes, the stage was where he felt most like himself.

Just days before his local theater’s auditions, Canaan was admitted to Children’s with diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious complication of diabetes. He thought he’d have to miss his chance to act, but he wasn’t ready to give up just yet.

With the help of his mom, care team and theater director, they teamed up to create a new plan: a virtual audition. Even from a hospital room, Canaan stole the show and landed the lead part! 🎭 2025-08-26 05:38:08 Canaan fell in.. 465 -57% 8 -64%

Did you know that Children’s can now implant the first FDA-approved stent designed specifically for infants?

For Chloe, this new technology came at the perfect time. Born with a rare congenital heart condition, Chloe struggled to get enough blood into her lung arteries following heart surgery. At 10 months of age, she made institutional history at Children’s by becoming the first infant to receive this new stent platform. The successful procedure, performed by cardiologist Dr. Allen Ligon, is one of only a handful of these procedures being performed by select centers across the country.

Thanks to this new device, Chloe is reaching all her milestones and just celebrated a big one: her 1st birthday! 2025-08-09 22:23:13 Did you know that Chi.. 1,646 +51% 12 -47%
