Being back in Brazil has been magical 🌿✨ sound on for Brazilian vibes 🇧🇷

We’ve been enjoying much of São Paulo (my boyfriend’s city) but also been exploring places I hadn’t been before and wow, this country truly has my heart. (Will be sharing a lot more about these magical places soon!)

But what I’ve been enjoying most are those seemingly small moments:

✨ Catch up talks with friends & family, a bite into a pão de queijo, sipping coconut water daily, getting back to speaking Portuguese…

It’s wonderful when you find places that feel like home, and this is one that feels just like it after visiting every year for 7 years. And with still two weeks to go, we have a few travels we’re very much looking forward to, as well as continue eating and experiencing spring in the beauty of Brazil 🇧🇷

Have you ever visited this country? Is it in your plans to come someday? 💫🌿

Experiencing Mexico during Día de Muertos is unlike anything else 🌼

As a kid, I thought this was how people everywhere celebrated death. It wasn’t until I met people from other countries that I realized how different our view actually is. For us, it’s rooted in celebrating life—the lives of those we loved who once shared this world with us.

There’s something magical about experiencing this tradition not only as a visitor, but by immersing yourself in what is sacred and meaningful to us. It goes beyond the parades and makeup—beautiful as they are, they’re only recent additions to this season.

With the insights of a local, you get to live moments in the most wonderful cities and towns such as Morelia, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, and Mexico City. To be able to feel this time as we do.

This is the Mexico I love sharing with you—immersive, soulful, unforgettable.

💌 DM me “personalized” to share all my recommendations to help you plan your dream Day of the Dead experience.

Ready to experience autumn in Mexico?  🇲🇽 🌼

I am captivated by this season in this country.

✔ Connect you with local guides, artisans, and experiences with my personal contacts.
✔ Be there before and during your trip to make everything flow effortlessly.

A soulful guide you need for your next trip ↓ 🇲🇽

💌 Share with someone who’s visiting soon!

It’s so special to come across guides created with love and respect — where you can feel the heart behind their recommendations to experience places mindfully, through its food, art, and culture.✨

As someone who deeply loves this city, it was beautiful to see so many of my favorite spots & activities included in the new Moon Mexico City guide by Julie Meade — written with such care, genuine love and knowledge for CDMX:

💃🏽 The Folkloric Ballet of Bellas Artes
🌼 Mercado Jamaica, for stunning flowers
🎨 Museum of Anthropology, to learn about Mexico’s rich pre-Hispanic cultures and history
📸 Cineteca Nacional, a beautiful venue for films and exhibitions
🌳 Pulquerías like La Joya, to taste a traditional drink

If you love to travel deeper this guide is one you’ll want to keep close. It celebrates the soul of the city in a way that is both immersive and respectful.

🗝️ If you’re planning your next trip or simply dreaming of Mexico City, this guide is a wonderful place to start. You can find it in bookstores or at moon.com 🇲🇽

Do you feel this way about where you’re from? 🥹

For me, the more I travel through my own country, the more in awe I am of its beauty, its people, its colors, its spirit. ✨

Mexico truly has it all — oceans, mountains, deserts, jungles, cities that never stop moving and towns where time slows down. Very different landscapes, yet they all carry the same warmth and friendliness.

But what makes Mexico so special to me isn’t just its diversity or its history — it’s the people. The way a stranger can welcome you into their home like family, the way stories and laughter are always shared, the way tradition and modern life blend so naturally.

I feel so lucky to have been born here, to grow up surrounded by this richness and joy. My love for Mexico only grows with every experience and I would love for you to feel the same 🌿

We often say México mágico, and wow, how magical you are indeed 🇲🇽

We have cultures that have been thriving for thousands of years, food that is as old as them and traditions that continue living alongside us since then.

Mexico is the strangers that welcome you like family.

It’s growing closer to the land, to community, to the warmth of a place that is home.

The colors, the landscapes, the scents…

And the people — always the people — that carry so much soul in how they live, create, and love.

The more I travel through Mexico, the more I fall in love with it.

Not only the places, but for what they make you feel.

And for what they remind us: that this land, these stories, this way of being… are a gift. 🇲🇽

If you love soulful trips, this is for you ↓

If you’d love to add depth and intention to your trip here check the link 🔗 in my bio, or comment ‘personalized’ and I’ll send you a short questionnaire to begin creating your dream Mexico trip.

In Mexico, we have a word that means “to embrace with the soul” that comes from the native Náhuatl language.

We call it apapacho. 🤍

And for me, one of the deepest ways to hug a place is by supporting its people — the artisans, the cooks, the guides, the small family projects that give life to each destination. 🌿

So here are 3 projects you’d love here:
✨ tierrayamor - An organic ranch with conscious accommodation, workshops, and community-building rooted in harmony with the land.
✨ connectaviajeros – A beautiful initiative creating conscious community through travel, sharing circles, and connection to local culture.
✨ jangala.mx – A regenerative project working with indigenous families to honor cacao and the jungle it comes from.

This is how we turn travel into connection.

This is how memories become incredibly meaningful.

Hi! I’m Champi & I specialize in curating the most soulful experiences for your time in Mexico and around the world as a travel advisor— trips that feel like an apapacho to your soul 💫

A hike you can’t miss 📌🇲🇽

I lived in Guadalajara for years when I was younger and have visited frequently since for years, however I never really went outside to explore its nature. So the last time we were there, Fal planned a day full of hikes and views to:

📍Barranca de Huentitán

What we thought would be a 2 hour hike, ended up being almost 5. Quite exhausting but absolutely worth it.

The Barranca is steep and there are two main ways in and out:

✨ the zig-zagging trail most people use,
✨and a steeper path through an abandoned town and up some old train tracks (definitely not for the faint-hearted).

We went down the main trail all the way to the beautiful Arcediano bridge, a historic suspension bridge over the river at the bottom of the canyon. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and river sounds, it was one of the highlights of the entire hike.

We attempted the train track route on the way up but turned back halfway — it was intense. Fewer people and stunning views, but definitely not easy 😅

The views are gorgeous, especially on the train trail as we were mostly on our own. But do expect loud weekend crowds with music on the main trail.

It’s a very unique and a very local kind of hike and experience you’d love if you know what to expect! 🌿

There’s nothing quite like going back to places you’re in love with. 🌿

The first time I visited this region was almost a decade ago with my dad. I have been wanting to come for long, but I wanted to do it with him, and just before I moved for the third time abroad, we made this trip together happen.

What started as a three day trip, turned into seven, as we fell in love with every place we went to in the region and wanted to see and experience more.

We swam in rivers, trekked the jungle, stayed at local hotels, and ate so much delicious regional specialties to keep our stomachs full for weeks. It was a soulful trip where we connected with everything around us and made our relationship closer. ✨

It has since held a very special place in my heart, and it is a destination we often go back to.

I had been hesitant to share it on here. Though I found that sharing it with the love I have for it and knowing that anyone who visits will respect and be mindful of its fragile ecosystems is something that I deeply hope for.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, not everything should be content and places deserve to be fully experienced in a more present way.

There is magic in finding a place in the world where you feel so at home and at peace, especially when it reminds you of the beauty of special relationships when you take more conscious time to nurture them.

Is there a place in the world where you feel something similar? 🌿🥹

If you love river dips & nature, this place is for you 💦🌿

The moment we walked in, with all the lush plants, and the sound of the flowing river, we knew it would be a place we’d love.

✨We started and ended our days swimming and relaxing in the river,
✨enjoying a massage with the sound of flowing water as a backdrop,
✨ reveling in afternoon reads & eating delicious local food.

Can you imagine a more soulful time? 🥹

And what’s even more beautiful is the people that work in this project, all locals, whom we had the opportunity to connect with. It’s wonderful to see how they actively engage in creating jobs & strengthening the community, the owners being from the region themselves.

If you love stays that stretch time, that allow connection to flow easily, it doesn’t get more peaceful than this ✨ 🇲🇽

This country truly has it all, and it’s beautiful to see all of its unique & different sides. 🇲🇽✨

I’ve fallen in love with so many places I have been to, with too many experiences and dishes, cherished conversations with people & been in awe with the wildlife and landscapes.

And these have been some of my fave:

🌿 For raw nature & culture- Chiapas, Baja California Sur, Puebla
🌼 For colonial beauty & history- Mérida, San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, Peña de Bernal
🖼️ For archeological wonders & landscapes- Yucatán, Chiapas, Edo Mex
🫔 For food, art, and creativity- Mexico City, San Cristóbal de las Casas, Oaxaca
🌊 For stunning beaches & food- Troncones, Mazunte, Holbox
🌲 For forests & cabins- Zacatlán, Valle de Bravo, Querétaro

There is a Mexico for everyone, and it’s beautiful to see everyone’s experiences when they visit here.

Being a mindful and responsible traveler has become more important than ever. And we need to be more aware of our footprint wherever we go. 👣🌿

As a Mexican, I’ve noticed how many places have been suffering from over tourism and gentrification and I really wanted to share some ways you can be a more welcomed and responsible visitor when you come.

Some companies, brands, stays and experiences that are doing good around Mexico:

✨ explora_travel Responsible tourism around nature experiences in Chiapas
✨rutopia trips focused on regenerative tourism with local communities with personalized trips
✨jangalamx they focus on regenerating jungles in the country through experiences & sustainable, fair trade cacao
✨connectaviajeros mindful group trips that mix adventure, sustainability & mindfulness activities in beautiful locations
✨elbuencampo boat rides in Xochimilco with purpose, plus they offer seasonal, organic produce for anyone in Mexico City
✨akampa.mx Tourism centered in conservation and social impact to many unique destinations and experiences in the country
✨playaviva Regenerative hotel in Guerrero that supports the local community through fair employment, educational & health initiatives, while also restoring the ecosystem with an organic farm, turtle sanctuary, and reforestation efforts.
✨coyotecanyonadventures local tour company in San Miguel offering community-led horseback riding, eco-adventures, and deep-rooted cultural experiences.

I could mention so many more, so always open for a call you can book in my bio for more insights on great, mindful experiences around the country.

I love my country deeply and I love seeing people fall in love with it too.
But I also feel protective of it.
Travel can be beautiful, healing, expansive — but only if it’s reciprocal 💛

What has been your experience with this kind of tourism? Do you have any suggestions/comments for more ways of travelling responsibly?

A coworking space in Mexico City you’ll love 💻🌿🍵

There’s something special about finding a space that holds both energy and calm. That’s exactly what The Square felt like — a beautifully designed coworking space right in the heart of CDMX:

✨ Soft lighting, warm wood tones, and that quiet hum of productivity.
🌿 Outdoor and indoor seating.
🤍 Private phone booths (no noise!), spacious meeting rooms, and the friendliest team to welcome you in.
☕ Tea, coffee, snacks throughout the day.
A reminder that remote work doesn’t have to mean disconnecting from beauty, balance, or inspiration.

If you’re ever in CDMX and want a beautiful place to work well — thesqglobal might just be your new favorite spot. ✨

& some experiences I recommend ↓✨🇲🇽

I’ve been drawn to nature and calm places & experiences as far as I can remember. Though, for a long time, I did not see the beauty of natural or quieter places my country had. And once I started experiencing the richness and diversity of Mexico, wow, was I surprised. ✨🥹🌿

I have leaned towards calmer experiences and outdoor spaces for a while now and it’s been magical and breathtaking to see many natural and cultural wonders around my country.

If you are like me and feel so healed and energized in these places, I cannot recommend these enough:
✨ Traditional Lele doll making in Amealco Querétaro amealco_pueblomagico
✨ Loreto Bay National Park for blue whale watching
✨ Visiting the Palacio de Correos in Mexico City early in the morning palacio.postal.museo
✨ Staying at the cabins of casadelrobleavandaro
✨ Visiting a cenote in the Yucatan peninsula recommended by a local

Mexico has some of the most impressive places I’ve ever been to, and the diversity is outstanding. If you are a nature and quiet moment lover, it is a country you cannot overlook.

If you’d be traveling here now, which one you would absolutely not miss? 🌿

Save for your San Miguel travels ↓🌿☀️🌾

I’ve been wearing my treadlabs sandals for over a year now, and I love how they feel: comfortable, durable, and part of a mission I love.

Tread Labs is a proud member of the Conservation Alliance, helping fund projects like land preservation and dam removals — and their Refreshed Insoles program gives lightly-used insoles a second life. Sustainability that makes sense.

If you’re planning to explore San Miguel & love nature, here are 3 of my favorite places for a beautiful hike:

🌄 Los Picachos — an ancient volcanic range just outside the city, with panoramic views, and a beautiful silence.

🌵 El Charco del Ingenio — a stunning botanical garden I’m obsessed with with many trails through canyons and desert landscapes, and a cacti greenhouse you’d fall in love too.

🌳 Las Cañada de las Cañas — a lesser-known trail further out from the city that follows a small stream and weaves through trees and farmland. Peaceful, green, and perfect for early mornings.

These are the places that keep me grounded. And the kind of footwear that is soft, sustainable & meant to wander.

One of the most spectacular states in Mexico — both in natural beauty and cultural depth.

We have been constantly advised to skip it because of some of the conflicts in the region… but I’m so glad we didn’t.

We went, with care and respect — and we’re already dreaming of going back. Chiapas holds a big place in my heart.

📌Save this for your next soulful adventure in the country 🇲🇽

That said, there are a few things I’d love to share in case you’re planning to visit too:

🌿 Avoid driving at night: Many communities don’t feel safe with unknown cars passing through after dark. It’s better — and more respectful — to travel during daylight.
🌿 Google Maps will lie to you a little: Distances may look short, but with topes (speed bumps), checkpoints, and winding roads, everything takes more time. Be patient.
🌿 Some communities may ask for a small fee: It’s usually a few pesos, a local way to support their village.
🌿 Not every place wants to be photographed: Some towns and people prefer to keep their image sacred — always ask, and respect their answer.
🌿 People here are some of the kindest I’ve met: If you show up with a humble heart, open eyes, and patience, you’ll be received with warmth and smiles.

Chiapas is magic. Wild, deeply connected to nature & with traditions and culture unlike anywhere else.

If you’re planning to visit this region, I’m open for a few calls to share all my insights— you can book it through the link in my bio.

Is this a region you’d go to when you visit Mexico?

Share with someone who’d love to feel it too. ✨🇲🇽

The feeling of being so small and yet entirely at home.

Nature in Mexico is the sound of waves at sunrise in the Pacific coast,
the pink light of golden hours over its many Pueblos Mágicos,
the waterfalls that surprise you in the jungle,
and the desert that teaches you to slow down.

And here are 8 places that will make you feel deeply connected to nature here:

🌿 Barranca de los Jilgueros, Puebla
🌿 Sierra Gorda, Querétaro
🌿 Sian Ka’an Reserve, Quintana Roo
🌿 Cañon del Sumidero, Chiapas
🌿 El Requesón beach, Baja Sur
🌿 Celestún Reserve, Yucatán
🌿 Desierto de los Leones, Mexico City
🌿 El Rosario, Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, Michoacán

I remember every moment spent at these locations, the peace, the stillness, the inspiration… they all have a beauty that move something inside you.

And always remember to be respectful & mindful, and to leave each place as it was or better than how you found it 🌿💛

Is there one that particularly speaks to you?

5 soulful experiences to live in Mexico — for those craving a deeper kind of journey 🌿✨

📌Save for your Mexico travels 🇲🇽

The kind that doesn’t ask you to do more, but to feel more.

Mexico holds so many portals into that slower, more intentional way of traveling.

These are just a few that have stayed with me:

☕️Drinking cacao in the many beautiful cafés of San Cristóbal de las Casas.
🌊Stargazing while camping in the Baja Peninsula near desert, mountains and ocean.
🫔Delicious street food and conversations with the women who cook with their heart.
🌿Visiting archaeological sites in the morning having read about its history, to sites such as Palenque & Cobá.
🌼 Being respectfully part of Día de Muertos in a village that lives by its ancestral rhythm.

This country invites you to listen. To feel the stories, the stillness, the soul of it all.

Share this with someone who’s craving more presence on their next trip 💛

Rediscovering the little joys of life... and realizing they were the big things all along 💛

The more time passes and the more I learn,
the more I understand: life is here —
in the still spaces we often overlook.

In the quiet. In the waiting.
In the sound around and within us.
In the life we already have.
In the stillness that reminds you: you’re already home.

We spend so much time searching for meaning somewhere far ahead,
but perhaps joy has always been closer than we thought.

Maybe it’s in the life we are living right now—
we just need to see it differently.

To soften.
To breathe.
To return to ourselves✨

If you’ve been moving fast lately,
if your heart’s been feeling heavy or far away,
this is your reminder to pause.

To find beauty in the ordinary.
To come back to what really matters.
To come back to you. 🌿

💌 Share this with someone who might need a soulful reminder today — and save it for the days you forget too. 💛

If you’ve been here, you know: this town is about how time slows down and your senses awaken. 🥹🇲🇽✨

There is something unique about San Miguel that I felt since I was a kid — but that lately, I’ve learned to understand & appreciate more than ever. 💫

Maybe it’s the way walking through the streets now that brings back memories of simpler days — when we’d play around the Jardín to the sound of the bells, running to buy fruit popsicles after eating at grandma’s, or sit in the plazas watching life unfold slowly, beautifully.

As I’ve grown, I’ve realized these everyday moments are the heart of this place.

And if you wish to experience San Miguel with this intention, here are 5 moments of the year you’d love to witness:

✨ Semana Santa celebrations in March/April
✨ Independence Day in September
✨ La Alborada in late September
✨ Day of the Dead in November
✨ Posadas in December

And even though it has changed a lot since I was a kid, there are many things that still remain the same — and it’s up to us, locals and visitors, to keep those traditions and culture alive 💛

Have you been to this magical town? I’d love to know what your thoughts were 💌 🇲🇽

A nature-surrounded getaway in San Miguel de Allende 🌿🪵

📌Save for your Mexico travels!

We recently stayed at 📍casadomsma , a beautifully designed loft tucked in the mountains of Los Picachos — just minutes from town, yet it feels like your own little sanctuary away from everything.

With an open kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows you can marvel at both from the living room and bed, and an outdoor tub surrounded by trees, it’s a place to slow down, breathe, and simply be. ✨

Native plants were preserved during construction, bathtub water is reused to irrigate the land, and the owners have given back to the community by donating a street, a bench, and a swing, along with plans of restoring a green area nearby. 🌱

A stay created by locals, with intention and love for San Miguel. The kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. 💛

Have you ever seen a loft so beautiful?

This planet is the greatest gift we have been given.

As travel creators, we have the privilege of exploring this beautiful planet — and with that, a responsibility to protect it. 💛

I’ve seen firsthand how climate change and over-tourism affect the places we love. From coral bleaching to plastic pollution, the impact is real — and urgent. So it is more important than ever to use our platforms to promote more sustainable travel and responsible tourism: choosing conscious stays, supporting local communities, and reducing our footprint wherever we can. ✨

To never forget the beauty and wonder of our planet, to appreciate the stunning landscapes, ecosystems and communities that make up our magical world 🫶🏽 To take enough time to feel nature: the sun on your skin, the sound of running water, the moments you spend outdoors ✨

And some moments that have left me speechless in Mexico of this beautiful natural world:
🌊 1. The waters of Bahía Concepción
🌿 2 & 3 Agua Azul’s majestic waterfalls
 ☀️ 4. Montebello Lakes
🌊 5. Puerto Escondido’s beaches
🌿 6. Hikes around the desert landscapes in San Miguel
🌊 7. Witnessing blue whales in Loreto National Park
☀️ 8. More stunning beaches at Bahía Concepción, Baja Sur.
🌿 9. Waterfalls surrounding Zacatlán de las Manzanas
🌊 10. Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve
☀️ 11. Vineyards and mountains in Querétaro

These places are magical because of how pristine they are and together, we can make a difference to keep them that way. Let’s commit to being responsible travelers, creators and humans, and work towards a future where the Earth is healthy and thriving.

Happy Earth Day, beautiful friends✨
