![Our hall bathroom got a lot of commotion in my Sunday Saves post the other day, so I thought it was time to run this transformation back to remind you guys of her journey!
She’s definitely lived a few lives in our time in this house. When we first moved in, it was the very first room I transformed! Not because it was the worst space in the house, but because I knew we’d waste no time before inviting friends and family over. We were so excited about buying our first house and wanted our friends and family to experience that excitement with us! I’m a big believer in NOT WAITING until a house is “perfect” before inviting people in.
BUT, I couldn’t go too many days living in the sea of baby blue that the previous owners had painted the ENTIRE house and the hall bath was the first space to get a coat of white paint. I painted the vanity black, swapped hardware, added some art and a fresh, white floor to ceiling shower curtain. Easy little quick fixes that made a huge difference! Over time, it kept evolving as my style (and opportunities 😅) shifted. *Hello veluxusa skylight!*
In 2023, it finally got the full gut and glow-up it deserved. Now, it’s the room that feels most like me: cultured, layered, grounded in neutrals with accessories that do all the talking 💅🏾. And honestly? It just might be my favorite room in the whole house.

![I’ve been thinking about legacy lately; especially what I’d want my son to remember about me if when he’s older. I’ve never strived for perfection, but I hope he says that I was someone who always reached for excellence. yet never forgot to make room for being human.
It’s way too easy to get caught up in chasing perfection: the perfect home, the perfect career, the perfectly curated life. But none of that really matters if there’s no room for grace in it. Some of the most beautiful moments in my life have come straight out of the chaos, loss and mess…not the perfection.

![This month, I’m starting a new series called My Sunday Saves! This collection of random things I loved this week that also loved me back!
This week it’s
•the vanity in our hall bathroom. I love the ample interior storage that allows me to use it as a linen closet, medicine cabinet and plant perch all in one!
•the grow light that brings my neglected plant babies back from the brink of 💀
•the lip masks in my favorite scents that give my natural look the perfect glisten with tons of moisture
•the cutest portable hydration station! My new water bottle goes everywhere with me: from my desk to the gym! The stainless interior keeps my water cool and the no-spill top makes it perfect for anywhere!
•the red lippie that turned my outfit up 10 notches!

![What is purpose? Is it why you do what you do? Or is it why you are who you are?
My purpose is to find the beauty in all things and to help others discover the beauty in the things that surround them everyday.
Both aesthetically and spiritually.
It’s a mode of curiosity. A constant questioning of ‘where’s the beauty in this moment?’ or ‘how can I make this moment more beautiful?’
It’s also a constant checking of gratitude. Asking myself ‘what am I most grateful for in this moment?’ or simply taking a moment in the midst of joy, pain, anger or contentment to tell God ‘thank you’
My purpose isn’t just for me. It’s also for everyone I “touch”. I want everyone to be able to see and appreciate the beauty that they’re surrounded by and I pray that every moment I share is a reminder for them to do so. Because there’s always something beautiful within our view and always something to be grateful for.

![I can’t tell the story of our exterior renovation without backing it up to this 🥹
One random day in 2020, my husband—who couldn’t stand social media at the time—decided to tear up a sidewalk in our backyard that led to absolutely nowhere. No heads-up, no plan. Just him, a sledgehammer, and a surprise video he filmed for me.
“I figured you’d want to post this,” he said.
It was the first—and only—time he ever created content for me. But in that moment, he showed me that even if he didn’t get it, he got me.
This was the beginning of the yard.
The project.
The story.
And everything that came after.
