Wooo~ Por fin pude probar este hermoso restaurante en una mansión en Roma Norte! Hoy finalmente visité el lugar de brunch que he estado deseando probar desde hace tanto tiempo! Hoy probé comida rusa y fue una experiencia interesante 👀 No estábamos seguros de qué pedir, así que le pedimos ayuda a ChatGPT y terminamos con sopa de betabel, pollo kiev y rollos de col (aprendí que la sopa de betabel en realidad es mucho más rica de lo que pensaba 🤭). Viviendo en CDMX como una chica china, pensé que nunca iba a encontrar authentic Chinese food until I met my friend itszhaott (who is the biggest chinese foodie hehe.) Today she brought us all together to have Tie Guo Dun - un plato reconforte de northeast china (or Dongbei). What is Tie Guo Dun? 🥢 It’s a dish served in a massive iron pot (translated literally as iron pot stew) and it’s perfect para compatir! Los ingredientes estan cocinado lentamente for the flavours to come out (and then you dip a bao in the delicious salsa and eat it altogether - 1000/10!). It’s such a fun way to fill your belly while connecting and sharing a meal together (which is a huge part of chinese culture!) 🇨🇳🇲🇽 What I eat in a day como una chica china en cdmx trying her best to be healthy! I used to stress about being “perfect” with food until I realised that life is too short! Ahora, sigue la regla de 80/20 me encanta viviendo mi vida de esta manera! My non-negotiables for being healthy whilst living abroad: ✨ Protein in every meal ✨ Morning lemon + chia water (makes me feel hydrated and less puffy!) ✨ Walking as much as possible ✨ Colostrum, l-theanine (and magnesium at night) Honestamente, hoy no comi mucho because when I am in the zone I don’t get hungry (anyone else like that?) Today was a good day! I love exploring different neighborhoods in Mexico City - each one has its own unique vibe and character. Last week it was Polanco, this week Juárez. Stopped by this charming café/bar called El Minutito (The Little Minute) and tried my first cerveza cubana - a beer cocktail with dark salsa that was surprisingly delicious! 👀 Making the most of my last few weeks here.
