Full Recipe Below:

Meat:

- ground pork (can substitute for ground turkey or beef)
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 3-4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tbsp spicy bean paste
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1-2 tbsp chili oil (depending how spicy you like it)

Broth:

- 2 cups chicken broth (substitute for bone broth for higher protein - I used brodo )
- 2 cups soy milk

Base:

- 2 tbsp sesame paste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- *optional* I add buldak_global black sauce  for additional heat

Toppings:

- egg
- bok choy
- scallions
- nori
- sesame seeds
- *optional* additional chili crisps

You can make it higher protein by using the bone broth substitute, and can make it lower-carb by noodle choice.

✨ 3.5 Year Tummy Tuck Update ✨

I always want to start by saying that everyone’s journey is different—so please, always do your research, trust your gut, and make the decision that feels right for you!

As many of you know, I lost 135 lbs and was left with a lot of loose skin on my arms, thighs, breasts, back, and stomach. My stomach was the first place I wanted to focus on, so after extensive research, I decided to book a tummy tuck in the Dominican Republic.

All of my labs and testing went smoothly, and surgery took place on my third day there. While I woke up grateful everything had gone well, the first 3 days were excruciatingly painful (and I was only given Tylenol for relief). Once discharged, I was sent to a recovery home, which unfortunately had very poor service—that’s a story for another day.

A few days into recovery, I noticed my belly button wasn’t healing like my main incision. It began turning blackish in color and wouldn’t stop bleeding. Even after being reassured several times by the surgeon, once I returned to the U.S., I learned my belly button had necrosis (meaning the tissue had died due to lack of blood flow). It was a very scary moment, and I ended up needing dead tissue removed. Thankfully, it healed better than I could have hoped.

Despite that complication, the rest of my healing went fairly smooth—about 3–5 days of real pain, followed by 3 weeks of discomfort. Over time, my scar healed nicely, and today, I am still so grateful I made the decision to remove the loose skin.

Fast forward 3.5 years later: my results are still life-changing. I feel so much more comfortable and confident in my skin!

- smoked paprika to taste

- slap yo mama (to taste - only seasoning with salt)
- 1 tosp cumin
- 1/2 tbsp clove

Consume/Broth:

- 1 white onion
- 6 cloves garlic (I double it out of preference)
- 6 chile guajillo's - destemmed and deseeded
- 6 chile de arbol - destemmed and deseeded
- 2 tomato's

Blend with:

- 1/2 cup water that you used to boil them
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1/2 tbsp clove
- 2 tbsp mexican oregano

Crockpot:

- seared meat
- blended mixture/consume
- 2-3cups beef broth
- 3-4 bay leaves
- 2 cinnamon sticks (optional)

Assemble with:

- tortillas
- mexican cheese and queso/quesadilla melting cheese
- cilantro
- onions
- limes

Full Recipe Below:

Produce:

• Bell Peppers (I use about half of each color)
• 1 White Onion
• Garlic Cloves (typically 5-7 are used, but I double it)
• Scallions or Green Onions (2 bunches)
• Scotch Bonnet Peppers *substitute for Habanero if necessary* (can use 1-3 for desired heat)

Oxtail Seasoning:

• Garlic Powder 
• Onion Powder 
• Smoked Paprika (optional, but I use it on everything)
• Whole Pimento's or Ground Allspice
• Oxtail Seasoning
• Black Pepper (optional)
• Jerk Paste (bot typically used, but I use it)
• Browning (roughly 1tbsp)
• Add chopped produce 

Broth/Crockpot:

• 2 Chopped Tomatoes
• Chopped Scallions (optional)
• Beef Broth (roughly 4 cups, but don't cover the oxtails--they will make their own broth as they cook)
• Jerk paste (optional, but adds flavor)
• 3-4 Bay Leaves

I cook them in my crockpot on high for 4-6 hours (depends on how thick the oxtails are)

Add in butter beans roughly 45 minutes before5)3 meat is done cooking!
