P.S. - Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my Utrecht weekend trip guide with itinerary recommendations including cafes, canal tours, restaurants, vintage shops, markets and more! 🌷

Everyone talks about Amsterdam, but no one talks about Utrecht 🇳🇱

After visiting the Netherlands biggest hotspot 4-5 times since I moved to Europe, I knew it was time to explore beyond — so I went on a ‘everything but Amsterdam’ trip to Rotterdam, The Hague, Gouda and finally, Utrecht — which has easily become one of my favourite European cities.

From its unique canalside filled with cosy bars and restaurants to its flower markets, cafes, and local vibe, it’s absolutely worth adding to your list (and just a 17 - 25 minute train from Amsterdam!)

Have you been or heard of Utrecht? Be sure to SAVE for your bucket list 📌

Happy travels,

Let’s go to Gouda 🧀  took myself on a mission to explore the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam, and it brought me to the city behind the world-famous cheese, and Stroopwafels! (my favourite, very dangerous 😅)

P.S. - Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you one day guide to Gouda (perfect if you’ve got an Amsterdam trip lined up 🇳🇱)

From Gouda cheese tastings to gooey Stroopwafels, cobbled streets and lovely canals, it’s a beautiful spot to add to your bucket list.

Have you been or heard of Gouda before?

#ad Airbnb opencity_uk Is this London’s most unique experience?

I’ve partnered with Airbnb Experiences and Open City — the charity behind London’s Open House Festival (13–21 September) that opens up the city’s architecture and culture to everyone.

Just as Open House reveals a different side of London, Airbnb Experiences let you connect with the city in fresh ways 👩🏽‍🎨

To celebrate the occasion, I tried their Explore Keats’ Hampstead Heath & Poetry Workshop…and it’s nothing like your usual London day out ✍🏽

Picture this: stepping inside Keats House, wandering the wild beauty of Hampstead Heath, then joining local poet elida.silvey for a workshop where you’ll write your own verse and take home a handmade poetry (ending with a lovely historic Hampstead pub of course).

Be sure to SAVE this London experience for your bucket list!

Have you ever done a poetry walk before?

Happy Londoning,

3 Hidden Gems in Covent Garden (you’re gonna wanna save this one ✨)

📍 Royal Opera House Rooftop – Go inside the Royal Opera House (Bow St, WC2E 9DD), take the lift to the 5th floor & you’ll find a hidden terrace with bars, restaurants & amazing views over Covent Garden.

📍 Café in the Crypt, St Martin-in-the-Fields (Trafalgar Square, WC2N 4JJ) – A café set underground in the church’s 18th-century crypt! Super atmospheric & one of the most unique places you’ll grab a coffee in London (they’ve got great food and treats as well x)

📍 Seven Dials Market (35 Earlham St, WC2H 9LD) – Just around the corner from Neal’s Yard. A bustling food hall with street food for every craving (and yes, a cheese & wine conveyor belt!).

Perfect little stops to add to your next Covent Garden wander 🎨 let me know which is highest on your list now!

Spend a day in Fulham & Putney 🌿📚

From browsing secondhand treasures at Hurlingham Books, soaking in the views from Putney Bridge and wandering the historic halls of Fulham Palace these neighbourhoods (just across the bridge from each other!) make for such a great London day out.

Add in a cream tea at Fulham Palace, stroll the botanic gardens, wander through Bishops Park, and end with a drink by the river at The Boathouse 🍻

Would you do this day trip? (📌SAVE for later) Whitstable is one of my favourite seaside escapes from London and a must-visit — here’s exactly how to do it for yourself ⬇️

P.S. - Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my full London to Whitstable itinerary to plan your day trip x

🚆 Getting there:

Take the train from London Victoria to Whitstable Station — around 1h25min, no changes needed. Trains run regularly throughout the day.

🛍️ What to do?

Start on the High Street filled with lovely shops and little town museum, then walk down to the harbour

Whitstable is famous for its oysters and there are plenty of spots to try them. I loved The Harbour Garden for a sit-down 🦪 with a crisp glass of pinot, but there’s lot of casual spots lined along the harbour for a quick bite (there’s also an Oyster festival on in the town this September 12th to 14th!)

🌊 Don’t miss:

The colourful Tankerton Beach Huts along the seafront — perfect for a coastal stroll and some of the town’s most iconic views.

🍰 Where to eat nearby?

End your day at Whitstable Castle — once a private residence, now with beautiful grounds and a tea room that does a great cream tea.

🕒 Total time needed?

Just under 1.5 hours each way and 5-7 hours to enjoy Whitstable — easy for a full day out and back to London by evening.

Would you do this day trip from London?

East London weekend plans? ✨ Make sure Broadway Market is on your list! (a great alternative to Borough Market too x)

Dating back to the 1890s, this weekend market is a proper local favourite. Today you’ll find everything from indie bookshops and vintage stalls to some of London’s best street food (plus plenty of cafés to linger in once you’re done browsing).

It’s a great shout for a weekend in London whether you’re a foodie, looking for somewhere to pick up unique London gifts, or just a buzzing spot to spend a Saturday in Hackney.

Save this for your next London market day 🛍️

Come get my UK licence with me 🚗 Part 1: Applying for my provisional licence

Despite living in the UK for almost 10 years, I’ve yet to get my UK licence (embarrassing… I know 😅).

So, as part accountability and part to help anyone else looking to get their licence in the UK, I’ll be documenting the process start to finish — starting with applying for my provisional licence to start officially practising!

How I did it ⬇️

1️⃣ Went to https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence to apply and requested a form to send my application by post (since I’m not from the UK).

If you are British, you can just apply online and it costs £34 online or £43 by post, so if you’re not from the UK.

2️⃣ Waited 5 days for the application, filled it in, signed it, attached a passport photo, then waited 3 weeks for my provisional licence.

3️⃣ 3 weeks later… got my provisional licence 🎉 With this, I can start driving lessons, take my theory test, and eventually take my driving test to get my UK licence.

Next up…find some driving lessons…

P.S. — If you have your British licence, give some tips in the comments! (And driving school recommendations please x)

Is this the UK’s most beautiful walk?

Reminiscing on what was easily one of the best walks I’ve ever done in the UK (and what an adventure it was!) here’s how to do it for yourself ⬇️

🐚 Start from the coastal town of Falmouth

A great base to do a long weekend in Cornwall — about 5 hours from London by train so plan to stay in the area for a few days to make the most of it, the train ride over is lovely with lots of sea views 🚞

⛴️ Take the ferry to St Mawes — a charming village just 20 minutes by ferry from Falmouth (ferries leave every ½ hour)

🛶 Then take a little boat out to Place from St Mawes Harbour, about 10 minutes over (it’s called ’Place Ferry’)

🌊🚶🏽‍♀️ Spend the day doing a glorious 4½ or 6 mile circular walk across stunning Cornish coastal paths, with plenty of time for a mini Cornwall beach day, and a Cornish pasty or two on the way…you can also stop by the historic Anthony’s Head National Trust site here too

Would you take this adventure?

Maybe it’s the endless cafés, maybe it’s the charm of Hampstead Heath on your lunch break,
or maybe it’s just knowing your office today could be a bookshop, a co-working space — or the British Library —but in my opinion London is one of the best cities to work from remotely (albeit, definitely not the cheapest!)
