Looking to plan the perfect day at seaworldsandiego ? Here’s our full itinerary. #sponsored

* Start the day with the touch pools. The cleaner fish are especially awesome!
* Head to the new jellyfish exhibit, where you can see them up close.
* Catch a presentation. We loved the Orca Encounter and the Dolphin Adventures Presentation.
* Spend some time on the rides. My kids’ favorite was Shipwreck Rapids!
* Meet a sea lion and get the chance to interact with them and even feed them some fish.
* End the day with more rides, checking out one of the restaurants, or riding the Sky Tower.

There is more to do than you can in a day, so consider getting an annual pass to relive the adventure again and again all year long.

If you’re looking for a little holiday magic in Southern California, check out WinterFest OC. Some of the highlights were the snow tubing hill, ice skating, and the snow play area with real snow. Plus, they have carnival games and food vendors as well. If you want to go, get your tickets online as it is cheaper than at the gate.

Looking for an easy (other than the uphill at the end!) yet stunning hike in SoCal? Sturtevant Falls is calling your name!

This 3.4-mile out-and-back trail in the Angeles National Forest has everything you want—shady tree canopies, a peaceful creek, and a jaw-dropping 50-foot waterfall at the end.

Pro Tips:
* Start early! Parking at Chantry Flat fills up fast (there’s some overflow along the side of the road, but it’s a longer trek).
* Bring $5 for an adventure pass—it’s required to park here and you can buy one at Adams Pack Station near the trailhead
* The trail is mostly shaded, but don’t forget water and sunscreen.

Looking for a Halloween Hike?

Yesterday we did the Pumpkin Rock trail in Norco, California, which has become a Halloween tradition for us. The epic giant pumpkin-shaped rock at the top is one of Southern California’s quirkiest landmarks, and the views from the top are totally worth it!

Want to explore Oak Glen yourself? Here are all the stops in the video. Be sure to send it to a friend you want to go with!

Stop 1: Apple Picking at Los Rios Ranchos
Nothing beats the crisp taste of an apple you picked yourself. Plus, the views are incredible here. Note that it can be expensive if you are picking more than one bag.

Stop 2: Lunch at Wilshires
Worked up an appetite? Head over to Wilshires for some wood-fired pizza. We love this spot and always get the pizza with apples on it, or even some of the apple cider cold brew they often have.

Stop 3: Donuts at Snow-Line Orchards
Next, head to Snow-Line Orchards - their cider donuts are legendary—warm, sugary, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Be sure to grab a dozen and you can even watch them being made.

Stop 4: Shopping at Oak Tree Mountain
Finish the day with a stroll through Oak Tree Mountain’s charming little shops. From handcrafted goods to souvenirs, it’s like stepping into a rustic little village. You can grab some mile high pie here as well.

Touring the historic catacombs of the Mission Inn is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I finally got a chance to do it last night during their Halloween event and it was pretty awesome.

If you want to do it, the only way to book it is to call the hotel reservation line and speak to someone directly. There is no online way to book this tour. Prices are around $30-$50 depending on the tour.

I was told that October is almost fully sold out, but that there is availability in November if you want to do it. There are a few different tour options, I did the VIP one that was at 10PM at night but there are earlier ones as well.

The cost was $29 for adults and $24 for kids and you can pick a specific time online to visit. This is our first of many halloween events we plan to go to this year and share with you. Did you know there is currently a lake in Death Valley National Park that hasn’t appeared for 20 years? This lake is a rare occurrence that will only temporarily be in the park and which has taken over Badwater, the lowest place in North America. Last sunset of 2023.

I hope everyone had a great end of 2023 and is excited for 2024. We have had a tradition of watching the sunset from the beach every year for the last 7 years and it is one of those things I look forward to as the year ends. I am going to start sharing some of my favorite Christmas attractions over the next few weeks as I love all of the unique things you can do for Christmas all around the state.

First up, Winterfest OC winterfestoc is a good spot for families and my 3 year olds loved the snow play area and tubing. We could have spent the entire time in the snow play area as they didn’t want to leave haha. I swore I wouldn’t do this hike again when I completed it 10 years ago but this last weekend last_adventurer and I made the trek back to the Goat Canyon Trestle, the largest wooden trestle in the world. The main way people hike it is via the train tracks at over 16 miles round trip but it is technically not allowed since the tracks are private property. Because of that, we hiked it via the Mortero Palms route and it is a challenging climb up to the top of the mountain and a steep scramble down the other side to the trestle. Plus there is no shade in this part of Anza Borrego State Park as well, which makes for an eventful day. We made it though and the bridge is pretty epic. 2023-11-07 05:02:06 I swore I wouldn’t do t.. 1,161 -93% 22 -94%
