Wertheim Village oh how I love you! Just an easy hour from Frankfurt, I had so much fun exploring over 100 boutiques. Thought I’d share some of my favorite treasures - a little mischief at WRTSTBHVR, colorful kitchen essentials at Le Creuset, a cheeky pendant at Swarovski, glow at Babor, Choupette’s reincarnation at Karl Lagerfeld and an iconic Le Pliage moment at Longchamp. Overall, a delightful shopping trip! ❤️ 🛍️

If you’re visiting Franfkurt or its surrounding areas anytime soon, be sure to swing by wertheimvillage.

London is always good for the soul! You MUST check out ABBA Voyage if you ever make it to London. The visuals are absolutely stunning! Just 45 minutes from Munich, Ingolstadt Village is the perfect mini-escape: an open-air paradise of Bavarian charm, pastel façades, cobblestone charm… and over 100 boutiques filled with luxury and premium finds. 🛍✨

The best part? You can shop carefree: the Hands-free Shopping Service carries your bags, while the Personal Shopping team helps you navigate Ingolstadt like a pro. And if you become a Village Member, you’ll unlock access to The Apartment, pre-Private Sale previews, exclusive event invitations and more.

Sometimes the best reset isn’t a spa day…. it’s a little shopping getaway that lets you wander, discover, and treat yourself.

In vino vertrauen wir! 🍷 My first time spending quality time in a vineyard and I couldn’t have chosen a better place than Weingut am Kreuzberg. Run by the Braun family for three generations, the estate has grown from Moritz’s grandparents’ dream in 1960 into 25 hectares of vines and nearly 200,000 bottles a year. From Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, I learned so much about wine!

There’s something so special about being in a small town away from it all. I loved the slow rhythm of life here… walking through the vineyards, discovering the cellar, and learning how wine is made from the ground up.

Their two sustainably built chalets (which you can privately book to stay), tucked right into the vines, made it even more special: oak from their own forests, stone from nearby quarries, hot tubs warmed by their own wood chips, and breakfast baskets filled with homemade goodies.

It’s a place where wine, hospitality, and family history come together in the most romantic way.

For me, it wasn’t just about tasting wine… it was about falling in love with the people who make it, and the land it comes from. ❤️

Fun fact: did you know porcelain was once called “white gold”? It’s fragile yet powerful, delicate yet enduring.

I spent a lovely morning day at Nymphenburg’s headquarters near Munich and it felt like stepping into a parallel universe where time is measured not in minutes, but in brushstrokes and kiln firings. Founded in 1747 on the grounds of Nymphenburg Palace, they’ve been creating porcelain the same way for nearly three centuries: entirely by hand.

And the most beautiful part? Every single piece can be traced back to the exact artisan who made it. Each craftsperson has their own personal stamp, a secret signature baked into the porcelain. It’s not just luxury… it’s intimacy.

Here, a teacup takes weeks. A figurine might take months. That’s the real definition of luxury: time, patience, and human hands.

Walking through Nymphenburg reminded me that true artistry isn’t loud… it’s precise, obsessive, and eternal. 🥹❤️

If you’re going to build a palace, do it like Queen Hedvig Eleonora - big, bold, and dripping in baroque drama. She basically said, “Versailles, but make it Nordic.”

Walking through Drottningholm and its perfectly symmetrical gardens feels like scrolling through 17th-century royal Instagram. I always bring friends here when they visit Stockholm. Also a great way to up Miss Declan’s step count.

Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and still home to the Swedish royal family, Drottningholm Slott is just ab fab. 🇸🇪💞❤️ 2025-09-08 04:36:04 If y.. 0 -100% 28 -71%

Remember when I used to blog on the internet? Well… I’m doing it again for giggles, eleven years after shutting my blog, except this time I’m calling it “writing” so it sounds more respectable. Apparently “journaling” is cheaper than therapy, so here we are.

I’ve posted two things already on Substack. It’s basically me with less Facetune, more words, and no algorithm telling me I’m obsolete.

Look Number 9. After the Balenciaga’s 54th Haute Couture show, I visited the haute couture salon and tried on KimKardashian’s dress - the ivory duchess satin number she wore on the runway.

On the surface, it’s just a slip. But couture never hides in simplicity. The fabric alone—liquid satin with a weight that moves like water— sculpted on her body to drape without a single ripple out of place. Lace edging was hand-stitched, every millimeter considered, every seam pressed and re-pressed until it whispered perfection.

The look was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof—Hollywood languor, reborn through Demna’s discipline. What looks effortless is, in truth, the work of countless hours and hands.

Wearing it felt less like putting on a dress, and more like stepping into a story: old Hollywood, Demna’s vision, and the quiet devotion of couture ateliers.

Out of Africa isdatchu? They say: wear neutrals, blend in, disappear into the bush. Beige, khaki, olive — the safari uniform. Supposedly so the animals won’t notice you.

But here’s the thing: I truly regret it. I wish I had brought more colour. Because out on the rangelands, the world isn’t beige. It’s the red earth, the green acacia, the gold savannah. The locals don’t mute themselves to merge with the land; they celebrate individuality with colour, adornment, and self-expression. Think Maasai shukas blazing scarlet against the horizon, Samburu beadwork catching the sun.

And the animals? They move through it all, largely unbothered. Many don’t even see colour the way we do. To them, what matters is shape, scent, and movement — not whether your shirt is tan or turquoise.

Out of curiosity — who decided tourists should fade into dust? Some say it’s practical. But sometimes I wonder if it’s also cultural — a holdover from old colonial safari traditions where visitors were meant to look apart from locals, not like them.

If I could do it again, I’d pack joy, pigment, pattern. I’d let colour tell its own story against the landscapes. Because out here, colour doesn’t just belong — it’s life itself.

❤️

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive countless beautiful things—wrapped in ribbons, tucked in boxes, treasured for a season. But here in Africa, I’ve discovered that the most meaningful offerings in life aren’t the kind you can hold in your hands.

They’re the ones you live—those rare experiences that live on long after they’ve ended.

In the magical sanctuary of Borana Conservancy, I’ve watched elephants move like old souls, zebras vanish into the horizon, and the vast rangelands spilling into bushlands—a wild mosaic of open plains and tangled thickets, stretching as far as the eye can see. I’ve spent a delightful amount of time with remarkable, gracious people, strangers and loved ones, from the nearby and the distant—each carrying a wealth of stories, lessons, and perspectives shaped by lives very different from my own. Their generosity wasn’t measured in material things but in something far rarer: their knowledge. They’ve shared histories of this land, tales from worlds I’ve yet to see, and wisdom distilled from years of living fully. To be trusted with that is no small thing; when someone parts with their knowledge, they give you a piece of themselves, and it stays with you.

Somewhere along the way, I also discovered an unexpected love affair with horse riding—trusting these powerful, gentle animals as we moved together across the open plains. Bryan Yambao, Equestrian. 🤣🤣🤣 Can you imagine… the next time someone asks me oh Bryan what’s your favorite hobby? And I’d be like… “oh I love horseback riding” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Even now, while I’m still here, I can feel this place folding itself into my story… moments I know will never fade. This journey, made possible through friendship, generosity and kindness, has given me more than landscapes and wildlife… it’s given me connection, self-discovery, and experiences I didn’t know I needed. Thank you.

Some treasures outlast everything else.

Met a beauty named Aspen — my four-legged guide through the Kenyan rangelands. It’s been years since I last rode, and there’s a magic in handing your trust to something far stronger than you. I wrapped my head in a silk Hermès scarf beneath my helmet — part armour against the high-altitude sun, part flash of colour against the gold-and-dust horizon.

Aspen paused now and then to steal mouthfuls of tussocks, that made me laugh a lot - it was fun nudging her back into line. The herd moved together as if choreographed, hoofbeats in sync over the open plains. Two hours in the saddle, zebras close enough to hear their breath, gazelles and oryx darting through, the land stretching out in every direction.

By sundowner, clouds softened the light, letting only flashes of gold and rose slip through. The full moon rose — orange behind the haze, then paling to silver — and there, framed against the last glow, an acacia tree stood black and bold as night swept over the plains.

Pure soul medicine. 😭❤️ 🐎

At 10,000 feet, the world goes quiet. Just the hum of the rotors, the bite of cold air, and that giddy moment when you realise—you’re not looking at Kenya’s highlands, you’re flying through them.

We were up before the sun, climbing into the chopper while the horizon was still blushing. With that first lift-off, the ground slipped away and the patchwork of earth below began to fold into mountains, valleys, and shadows carved over millennia.

Kirinyaga (also known as Mount Kenya) rose ahead of us, jagged and untamed. It’s Africa’s second highest peak. The Kikuyu call it the home of Ngai, their God, and from above, it’s easy to believe. Batian, Nelion, Lenana… the peaks cut into the sky like the continent’s crown. The pilot tipped us toward the cliffs, close enough to trace the ridgelines with your eyes. It’s as close as you’ll ever get to flying like a bird—only faster, louder, and with a bigger adrenaline kick.

We also landed at Lake Alice - a hidden, glacial-blue jewel cradled high on the eastern slopes, shimmering in the morning light. We stepped onto the alpine plateau, unwrapped snacks, picked up pumice and obsidian rocks, and let the stillness take over.

The scene felt almost alien… tufted grasses and giant groundsels — prehistoric plants built to survive nights of frost and days of fierce sun—found only here, in the Afro-alpine heights.

From the air or on foot, this place is raw, ancient, and absolutely unrepeatable. Hypnotic. Untamed. Unforgettable. I honestly felt like I’m an alien discovering an entirely new planet except at the back of my head, I know this planet is my own.

Adventure got us here. Wonder is what we carried home.
