Happy 1st of October, everyone! 🍁🎃

I’d happily visit Istanbul any time of the year (well, maybe not when it’s freezing cold 🙈) because I love this city so much. Interestingly, I always seem to visit in autumn—especially in October—and I’ve always had the best time! From stunning architecture to vibrant bazaars, here’s my guide to experiencing the magic of this city.

Things to do:
🕌 Visit the Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque
🌈 Explore the colorful streets of Balat
🌅 Catch sunset and watch the fishermen at Galata Bridge
🚋 Hop on the red nostalgic tram at Taksim
✨ Wander around the Grand Bazaar
🥨 Buy a simit from a street vendor in Sultanahmet
📸 Catch sunrise at Ortaköy Mosque
🌶️ Stroll through the Spice Bazaar
🛍️ Shop on Istikial Street

Where to eat/drink:
🍳 Have a Turkish breakfast at sevenhillsrestaurant
☕️ Sip Turkish tea or coffee at cat café cafenaftalink in Balat
🌽 Try street food in Sultanahmet Square
🍬 Indulge in Turkish delights from Hafiz Mustafa
🥙 Dine at guneyrestaurant

Cappadocia Travel Guide – October Edition 🍂🎈

October is the perfect time to visit Cappadocia! I’ve been twice during this month and it never disappoints. The weather was pleasantly warm during the day, crisp in the evenings, and the hot air balloons flew every morning. Here’s my ultimate guide to make the most of your trip:

- Top Experiences
🚗 Chase the Hot Air Balloons – Wake up before sunrise and watch the sky fill with hundreds of balloons. For an unforgettable view, book a ride in a vintage car (I recommend red_clarence ) and follow them as the sun comes up. It’s a super cool experience.
🎈Balloon Ride – A must-do bucket list experience. Sunrise over the fairy chimneys is pure magic.
🏮Carpet Shops – Step inside the famous Gallery Ikman or Sultan Carpets for those dreamy photos and a glimpse of traditional Turkish craftsmanship.

🍴 What to Eat & Drink
• Try the iconic Testi Kebab (a slow-cooked stew served in a clay pot that’s cracked open at your table).
• Manti – Turkish-style dumplings topped with yogurt and spices.
• Don’t miss a classic Turkish breakfast spread and a glass of strong Turkish tea.

📍 Places to Visit
• Göreme Open Air Museum – Rock-cut churches and centuries-old frescoes.
• Love Valley & Rose Valley – Stunning hikes with surreal landscapes. Rose Valley was my favorite!
• Uçhisar Castle – Climb to the top for panoramic views.
• Pasabag (Monk’s Valley) – Famous for its otherworldly fairy chimneys.

🎯 Activities
• Book a horse riding or sunset ATV tour for a thrilling ride the valleys.
• Stay in a cave hotel for the full Cappadocia experience (my favorite: kozacavehotel ).

🍁October in Cappadocia is pure magic — from golden sunrises to cozy evenings.

Save this guide for when you plan your trip to Turkey’s dreamiest destination!

Antibes Travel Guide 🌸

If you’re visiting the French Riviera, a day trip to Antibes is a must! Just 30 minutes by train from Nice 🚆 (or about a 40-min drive), this charming coastal town blends history, art, and Mediterranean vibes. It’s also a great base if you prefer a quieter spot than Nice or are traveling with kids.

⭐️Things to Do in Antibes:
• Stroll the Old Town (Vieil Antibes): Cobblestone streets, colorful houses, boutiques, and cafés.
• Marché Provençal: Daily local produce and food market at Cours Massena
• Antique & Flea Market: Place Nationale on Thursdays & Saturdays, a dream for vintage lovers.
• Picasso Museum: Set inside the historic Château Grimaldi, where Picasso once worked.
• Port Vauban: Europe’s largest yacht marina with some of the world’s most impressive yachts.
• Relax on the Beaches: Plage de la Gravette for calm waters, Plage de la Salis for views of the old town. For something special, head to Baie des Milliardaires (Bay of Billionaires) - a short bus ride and 10-min walk away.
• Rue du Haut Castellet: Often called the most beautiful street on the Riviera, perfect for a quiet stroll and photos.

🍴 Where to Eat & Drink
• Chez Jules: Picture-perfect with Niçoise classics from the freshest ingredients.
• Gelateria del Porto: Homemade gelato by the marina.
• Good Mate Coffee: Best coffee in Antibes.

Antibes became one of our favorite places on the Côte d’Azur this summer. We only visited because a flight strike delayed our departure, and we’re so glad it did.

📌 Save this guide for your next trip to the South of France!

What I wore this summer in Italy and France ☀️👗

These are some of my favorite summer outfits from our travels in South of France and Sicily.

1. This butter yellow dress from billy_j_boutique is super comfortable and it looks so good! I wore it a lot.
2. This dress was made for Taormina! It gives a D&G vibe but it’s runawaythelabel
3. My favorite brand zimmermann
4. Another of my favorites. Stunning camillawithlove
5. Sometimes it’s just an easy white top and white skirt that’s the most effective. Both Zara.
6. This brown polka dot dress is so comfy and pretty. I wore it a lot this summer. Zara.
7. Another polka dot moment! This summer was all about it, wasn’t it? abercrombie
8. The comfiest white linen set from asos. Perfect for hot days.

Comment “guide” and I’ll send you my full Sardinia Travel Guide with detailed tips and itineraries. 📩 (check your message requests if you don’t receive it).

After years of spending summers in Sardinia, I’ve put together my Ultimate Bucket List for the northern half of the island — 10 things you absolutely can’t miss:

⛵️ 1. Sail La Maddalena – My favorite day ever was on veliero_francesca : think turquoise lagoons, aperitivo + seafood pasta on board, and swimming straight into natural pools. Pure magic.
🌿 2. San Pantaleo – A bohemian village framed by granite peaks. Visit the famous Thursday market, then try lunch at Ichnos or Giagoni, and dinner at Casa Boheme Bistro.
🏖 3. Costa Smeralda beaches– Forget Porto Cervo. The real gems are Capriccioli and Spiaggia del Principe.
🌅 4. Sunset on the west coast – Nothing beats the fiery skies of Bosa, Alghero and Oristano. Truly breathtaking.
🍷 5. Su Gologone, Oliena – A unique boutique hotel in Supramonte mountains. Don’t miss aperitivo at the Magico Tablao bar.
🚤 6. Costa Baunei boat trip – The best way to reach Cala Mariolu & Cala Goloritzé (or hike to Goloritzé if you’re up for it). Book ahead online!
🎨 7. Bosa – Quiet, colorful, and full of charm. Stroll past pastel houses, climb Malaspina Castle, sip Malvasia wine. Eat at Don Carlo Delicatessen, grab aperitivo at Sorsi e Sorrisi – Zio Elio, and dinner at Locanda di Corte (or pizza at Tiwi, Bosa Marina).
🌊 8. La Pelosa, Stintino – The Maldives of Sardinia. Shallow turquoise waters, fine white sand… but you must book in advance.
🐚 9. Beaches of San Teodoro & Olbia – Favorites: Cala Brandinchi, Lu Impostu (book online), Porto Istana, and Spiaggia delle Vacche.
🥂 10. Wine tasting & agriturismo – Taste Vermentino at Tenute Olbios, Surrau or Sella & Mosca. Then book a traditional dinner (fixed menu + wine) at Lu Stazzu (Porto Rotondo), La Colti (Cannigione), or Li Mori (San Teodoro).

💡 Pro tip: Rent a car, book popular beaches in advance, and visit in June or September for the best balance of weather & crowds.

Wandering through Noto, the crown jewel of Sicilian Baroque. 💎

After a devastating earthquake in the late 17th century, the town was completely rebuilt, and today its golden limestone palaces and churches make it feel like an open-air museum. In fact, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

📍 Getting there: Noto is just about an hour’s drive from Catania, making it an easy day trip or stop on your Sicily itinerary.

🌸 What to do in Noto:

- Stroll along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, lined with breathtaking Baroque palaces and churches. 🚶🏻‍♀️
- Visit the Cathedral of San Nicolò, a masterpiece and town icon. 💒
- If you’re here in May, don’t miss the Infiorata di Noto. The streets transform into carpets of flowers in the most spectacular festival. 🌺
- Have lunch at Modica di San Giovanni, one of my favorite spots in town. They make their fresh pasta and bread every day, and they are also famous for their Nero d’Avola wine. 🍝
- End your evening with sunset drinks at the rooftop terrace of Gagliardi Boutique Hotel. 🍸

💫Bonus tip: Just 30 minutes away lies Marzamemi, a charming seaside village perfect to wrap up your day.

Recently, we had the dreamiest stay at ritzcarltonalwadidesert in visitrasalkhaimah and I can honestly say it was such a magical experience. 🏜

Nestled in the heart of the Al Wadi desert in #RasAlKhaimah, the resort feels like a true oasis, with gazelles and oryxes roaming freely all around. 🦌

We stayed in the most beautiful tented villa with a private pool, and every morning the gazelles and oryxes would come right up to visit us. What a way to start the day!
But the absolute standout was the Wildlife Feeding experience. Riding in a vintage Land Rover through the desert, hand-feeding gazelles and oryxes while watching the golden light fall over the dunes. Truly unforgettable!

This is the ultimate luxury desert getaway in Ras Al Khaimah and absolutely one for the bucket list. 💫

Summertime sadness… 🌺✨

As August comes to an end, I can’t help but look back on the incredible summer we had. Besides our trips to the South of France and Sicily, we spent most of it in Sardinia - like we do every year.

And if I haven’t shared much from our Sardinian summer (as always 🙈), it’s simply because when I’m there, being on my phone is the last thing on my mind. Life flows differently in Sardinia. It slows down and reminds you to truly savor the everyday joys: long family meals, seaside walks, hours spent at the beach, or aperitivo with friends. 🥂

There’s a reason Sardinia is known as one of the world’s “blue zones”, where people live longer, happier lives. And every summer I spend here, I understand why.

Now it’s time to wait another year to return to this little paradise… but I have so much to share with you from this summer. Stay tuned. 💙

Just 10 minutes by train from Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer is one of the most charming spots on the Côte d’Azur. And it has a sandy beach (rare for this part of the Riviera!).

Here’s how I’d spend a day here ⤵️

🚆 Getting there: Take the train from Nice Riquier or Nice Ville. It’s quick, easy, and the views are beautiful.

🏖 Beach time: Plage des Marinières is a beautiful beach with golden sands and the clearest water. Perfect for swimming and sunbathing.

🍝 Where to eat: Lunch at Les Garçons for local flavors, or DRY for innovative cocktails and dining right by the water.

🌈 Wander: Explore the pastel houses, narrow lanes, and flower-covered balconies, it feels like stepping into a postcard.

🌸 Views: a short hike from the train station will take you to Boulevard Napoléon III viewpoint where you can enjoy panoramic vistas of the town, Plage des Marinières, and the Cap Ferrat peninsula.

This time we visited it on our way to Menton, so we only spent the morning here but if you plan to enjoy the beach, you can definitely spend a whole day in this charming town.

A few shots from Cefalù on World Photography Day. 📷

Cefalù ended up being our favorite spot in Sicily, and for so many reasons. It’s not just that the town is breathtaking with its charming corners and golden coastline. It’s that unlike some other places we visited, which felt catered to tourists, Cefalù was unapologetically Sicilian, local, and full of soul.

From the gentleman selling fruits and vegetables out of his Piaggio Ape, rhythmically calling out his offerings in the narrow streets near the Duomo… to the group of men gathered on a bench, simply chatting about their day. I even caught a funny exchange between a few Italian tourists and a local man delivering wine to a restaurant, who smiled and reminded them that here, you don’t say “arancino” like in Catania, but “arancina.” Those who know, know. 😉
There was something so real, and even a little nostalgic, about Cefalù. Standing at the famous pier, watching kids (and adults) dive into the water for hours, just laughing and living in the moment - with no phones in sight..I couldn’t help but think, “Is this Italy in the ’90s?”

Cefalù left me with such a warm feeling, and honestly, I wish we had stayed longer. 💛

One of Sardinia’s best-kept secrets: Bosa 💛💜💚

Every summer, we never miss a stop here. We love Bosa for its quiet laid-back atmosphere, and unlike other places in Sardinia it hasn’t been devoured by tourism (yet).

This old tuna fishery, now a boutique hotel, sells out months in advance, despite the hefty price tag. Luckily, you can come here as a day visitor and enjoy the beach.

🕐 Opens daily 10:30-19.00 when there are no events. You have to check that before.
🎟️ The ticket for adults is 25€ and you have to book online in advance. You can book up to 15 days in advance to secure your spot. You will get access to the public beach, a beach chair and a visit to the museum.
* There were some walk-ins but they get inside only if there is space and after the pre-booked people get in.
🅿️ There is a parking nearby “Parcheggio Tonnara di Scopello” which is fixed €20. Don’t park at the Parcheggio Grande di Scopello! It’s too far to the Tonnara.
🥪 There is a little shop that sells drinks and snacks. But there is no shower.
🛸 Flying drones is not allowed.

So is it worth it? Only between tickets and parking you will spend €70 for 2 people. Which is definitely too much for what it actually is (the price went up significantly compared to last year). Am I glad we’ve seen it? Yes, it’s objectively stunning! Would I go again as a day visitor? No.

Would you still go knowing this?

Staying at the San Domenico Palace, fstaormina was nothing short of magical! 😍

I’ve dreamt of this place for years, and I still can’t believe we finally stayed here.

Perched above the Ionian Sea and backed by Mount Etna, this iconic property in the heart of Taormina is truly one of the most extraordinary hotels in the world. Once a 14th-century convent, then a grand 19th-century hotel, and now part of our favorite fourseasons collection. You might recognize it as the setting for season two of The White Lotus. 😉

Everything about fstaormina is pure elegance: the infinity pool with sea views, peaceful Italian garden, dreamy spa, and a handful of refined restaurants and bars. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave.

Already plotting my return… ✨

Would you like to stay here? 🍋

Francesca can’t come to the phone right now…
She’s too busy sailing through paradise 🛥☀️🍝

Sardinia from a sailboat just hits different.
A dreamy day at sea with Veliero Francesca - swimming, sun, good food, great company, and the bluest water I’ve ever seen.
One of those days that are hard to forget 🩵
