You need three kinds of hobbies in life: one that keeps you creative, one that keeps you in shape, and one that makes you money.

For me, creativity comes through building and teaching. As an educator, YouTuber, and tech entrepreneur, I’ve poured my energy into creating platforms like Bear Bull Traders, Peak Capital Trading, and Trading Terminal. These projects help traders around the world learn, grow, and become independent. Building them keeps my creativity alive. Every new idea, video, or product reminds me how much I love turning education and technology into something real.

Fitness is my physical hobby. I run around 50 to 70 kilometers a week, always training for the next challenge. A few times each year, I push myself to the extreme with high-altitude climbs, testing not just my body but my mindset. Running and climbing keep me grounded, humble, and connected to that part of me that loves growth through discomfort.

And of course, day trading the US stock and options market has completely changed my life. It started as a passion, turned into a habit, and became a career that gives me freedom, discipline, and purpose every single day.

Find your three hobbies. Build something. Move your body. Grow your mind. That’s how you stay alive.

What are your three hobbies? Have you found yours yet? It’s never too late to start. 2025-10-12 11:32:39 You need three kind.. 200 -63% 6 -87%

I survived another one as I chased the highest sunrise on Earth. Manaslu 8,163m (26,781ft). We made it.

This was my third 8,000m peak. Out of the 14 giants above 8,000m, I am grateful I got to experience this one. Manaslu was tough, in many ways as hard as Everest, but it pushed me to my limits and reminded me why I climb.

And of course, I carried the BBT flag with me. My goal is simple: to become the best version of myself in trading, in health and fitness, and in life, and to inspire our community along the way. That is what Bear Bull Traders is all about, pushing each other to grow and to get better, one step at a time.

Thank you so much to everyone who followed my journey and sent me satellite messages. I could not reply out there, but I felt them all. Many of you asked me to carry your prayers and wishes, and I proudly took them with me to the summit. 2025-09-24 18:09:19 I survived another one as.. 884 +64% 134 +197%
Finally it’s time! Today I begin my summit push on Manaslu. The plan is C1, then C2, then C3, and after three nights we will push for the summit. Four nights in the mountains, no connection to the outside world.

The world wakes up slowly in the Himalayas. At 5am, as the sun rises, heaven and earth blur together. I filmed this sunrise video on Everest two years ago, and now standing here again I feel that same magic. No photo or video can do justice to standing on a ridge above 8,000 meters, 26,000 feet, where you cannot tell where the earth ends and the sky begins.

You can follow me in real time through my Garmin tracker, link in bio. You can see my ascent and also send satellite messages there, and they mean a lot when you are up in the death zone.

Avalanches, ice falls, and falling into crevasses are all very real dangers up there. Above 8,000 meters your body can shut down from high-altitude sickness or extreme cold too. Mountaineering has evolved a lot in the last decade, with better gear, much more skilled and experienced Sherpas, and more accurate avalanche and weather forecasts, and that helps a lot. Still, the mountains only allow what they allow, and there is always a chance you might not come back. We will climb smart, we will plan, but we will do what the mountain decides.

I’ve lost close friends here in these mountains. ginamarierzucidlo my dearest friend and an amazing American climber, still rests up high in these mountains. I feel her presence every time I climb. I asked my family, if my journey ends here, let me rest here forever where I belong and don’t bring my body down.

Life is an evolution of consciousness, you learn about yourself, you learn from others, you leave an impact, and you keep growing. Looking back at my 40 years, if this were the end of my journey, I would say I had a pretty fucking amazing run. Being here for my birthday and chasing this summit feels like a gift from the universe.

Thank you to everyone who has followed my journey. Many of you asked me to carry your prayers and wishes, and I will. I will think of each of you.

I would love to write more, but luckily for you, Instagram has a character limit. 2025-09-21 09:45:00 Finally it’s time! .. 1,009 +87% 94 +109%
Above 6,500 meters (21,325 feet), some climbers already start using oxygen, although it is more common above 7,000 meters (22,965 feet). Once you go above 8,000 meters (26,247 feet), oxygen becomes essential because that is the death zone. Some people who want to climb a little faster with less acclimatization will begin at 6,500 meters (21,325 feet). Today, I went up to 6,500 meters (21,325 feet) without using any oxygen and carried some of my gear up there before returning to base camp. I will rest here for two nights, and then hopefully, I will go for my summit push on my birthday. For the last four or five years, most of my birthdays have been spent in the mountains, usually in the Himalayas. I have never really been the type to throw birthday parties, so this year feels special, celebrating here with the goddess of Manaslu.

I also took a quick nap using oxygen. Above 6,500 meters (21,325 feet), climbers usually keep the oxygen flowing all the time, whether sleeping, climbing, resting in the tent, or even going to the bathroom. The oxygen flow can be adjusted depending on your activity. When you are pushing higher, the flow is increased, and when you are resting, the flow can be lower. Even with oxygen, it does not feel like breathing at sea level, but it does make the altitude feel a little less extreme and gives you some relief. 2025-09-19 16:44:04 Above 6,500 meters (21,32.. 482 -11% 59 +31%

Almost two years ago, I climbed the coldest place on earth, Mount Vinson in Antarctica, with three amazing climbers: Jamie, John, and Klaus. Two from the Netherlands, one from the US. We didn’t stay in touch really after the climb.

Fast forward to now, and here we are, randomly running into each other at Manaslu Base Camp. Who would have thought? We all live in completely different parts of the world, yet the mountains have this way of bringing people back together.

In the past two years, we’ve each climbed more big peaks, pushed ourselves further, and gained more experience. We’ve all changed, a little darker from the sun, a lot stronger, and more mature from the challenges the mountains give us.

It’s one of the most amazing things about mountaineering. The world feels so big, but in the high places, it suddenly feels small. 2025-09-14 19:10:20 Almost two years .. 326 -40% 14 -69%
Welcome to the highest day trading office in the world sitting at 4,900m (16,000 ft) above sea level!

I might actually be the highest trader in the world right now. No matter how much weed other traders may smoke, they’re not topping this high!

Over the next two weeks, I’m planning to climb the world’s 8th highest mountain, and on the side I want to see if I can make any profit trading straight from base camp!

At the same time, I’m running three companies: Bear Bull Traders: our community and educational arm. Trading Terminal: we are building the next generation of trading software for retail traders and investors. Peak Capital Trading: our proprietary trading and investing firm. Wherever I go, these businesses depend on me. But thanks to the technology specially high speed unlimited Starlink, I can run them from anywhere even here at 16,000 ft.

Big thanks to my friends at kaitu_expedition for helping me to build such an amazing office at this altitude. And thank you all for following my journey.

My Sherpa and I were acclimatizing at 14,000 ft, and we walked to a small monastery. On the way we met an incredible 83 year old lady. I asked her the secret to happiness in life. She smiled and said (my sherpa translated of course):

“Happiness comes when you stop chasing what you do not have and start being grateful for what you already hold. Forgive quickly, share what you can, and never carry anger in your heart. A heart that is light is a heart that can stay happy through all of life’s ups and downs.”

Because of the unrest in Nepal, I found myself with an unexpected two nights in Hong Kong. No plan, no agenda, just my running shoes and curiosity.

I let the city unfold the way the French poet Charles Baudelaire once imagined “the flaneur”: the wanderer who observes, drifts, and finds meaning in the rhythm of the streets. Later, German philosopher Walter Benjamin called the flâneur the very soul of the modern city.

So I became one.

I ran through Mong Kok with its neon markets and narrow alleys, wandered the glass canyons of Central where skyscrapers rise above temples, and moved along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront with Victoria Harbour glowing against the night.

I stopped at the Avenue of Stars and, by chance, caught the 8 p.m. Symphony of Lights the largest permanent sound and light show in the world. Surrounded by strangers, I felt part of something immense, a city that seemed to be performing its own heartbeat.

The last time I was here was twelve years ago. Back then, Hong Kong impressed me. Now it overwhelmed me. The skyline has multiplied, the infrastructure has leapt forward, and the pace of change is staggering.

Walking and running as a flâneur through these streets, I could not help but compare. In much of the West, city councils in places like Vancouver and San Francisco argue endlessly about whether drug addiction homeless have the right to camp on sidewalks or relieve themselves in public spaces. Meanwhile, in the East and the Middle Eastern kingdoms, cities are rising with ambition, vision, and speed.

Being a flâneur in Hong Kong reminded me that the best journeys happen when you let the city surprise you.

History has always been my favorite subject. Reading about the rise and fall of civilizations reminds me that nothing lasts forever. The Persian Empire was once one of the greatest powers on Earth 2,500 years ago, yet today only ruins remain, in a land far removed from its former glory.

Being a flâneur in Hong Kong left me with a sobering thought. The East is building and advancing, while Western civilization slowly rots from within. They are really falling far behind.

I hope we can wake up, act, and make sure we do not fall behind. 2025-09-11 20:54:04 Because of the un.. 499 -8% 30 -33%

Back to the thin air, back to the death zone, back to challenging myself.

I am packing for my next expedition, Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 m, 26,781 ft. This will be my third 8,000 meter peak, after Everest in 2023 (Nepal) and Cho Oyu (Tibet) in 2024. Now it’s time to return once again to Nepal, one of my favorite countries in the world, and to the majestic Himalayas.

Many ask me why I climb high altitude mountains. The truth is, the mountains there are not just climbs. They are teachers. The goddess of the mountains allows you to reach the summit only if you come with intention, only if you are ready to leave as a better person. Every time I go to the Himalayas I come back changed. Everest and Cho Oyu helped me climb out of some of the darkest stages of my life. Now I am facing new struggles within myself, and I know the only way forward is to face them in the silence and power of the mountains.

Manaslu means “Spirit Mountain” in Sanskrit. For me, this climb is not only about reaching the summit, it is about seeking clarity, healing, and strength. I want to spend four weeks fully absorbed in the Himalayas, training my body, sharpening my mind, and opening my heart to whatever lessons the mountains want to give me.

The expedition will take about three to four weeks, depending on weather and how I adjust to altitude. I will be climbing with my brothers and friends from kaitu_expedition with leadership dr.sherpa_nima and nimatenji. I am bringing all my gear, my trading setup, and even my Starlink, so I can still connect with the world from base camp, but in truth, the real connection is with myself and the mountains.

From Kathmandu I will fly out next day and begin the trek to base camp, where I will spend weeks rotating between the higher camps at 7,000 meters and returning to rest, before making the final summit push.

The Himalayas are not only for climbers. Even if you never set foot above 8,000 m or 26,000 ft, the experience of being in these mountains changes you forever. Everyone I know who has come here has left transformed. The spirit of the Himalayas is for all who seek it.

Burning Man for me is like stepping into a portal to another frequency of existence. A place where love, connection, and energy vibrate at a higher level.

This year, Burning Man tested us right from the beginning. The rain poured for three days, turning the ground into thick mud and locking tens of thousands of us in place. The storm was harsh, the conditions difficult. But what could have broken spirits instead brought us closer together. The hardship made the beauty of the last days even more powerful. It reminded us transformation doesn’t happen in comfort. It happens when you face challenges, open your heart, and allow yourself to be changed.

I met incredible souls out there. People who expressed themselves without judgment, who gave freely, who danced under the stars with joy that felt infinite. I learned so much about myself through them. I realized that life is not about holding on, but about opening up, letting go, and allowing connection to flow.

Burning Man is guided by Ten Principles ideals like inclusion, gifting, leaving no trace, and participation. These are not just ideas to be spoken, but ways of living that shape the entire culture of the playa. Experiencing them fully made me ask: how can I bring this energy back into the “default world”? How can I live every day with radical creativity, kindness, and presence?

I left Burning Man transformed. I feel like I shed an old layer of myself and stepped into a new chapter. I carry with me not just memories of art, music, and fire, but lessons that go far deeper about love, resilience, and the power of community.

I can’t wait to continue exploring life with the people I met, and to carry forward the spirit of the playa in everything I do. Burning Man is not just a place you visit. It’s a state of being, a reminder of what is possible when we come together in love, creativity, and authenticity.

I’m already looking forward to next year to step once again into that magical world, to keep learning, and to keep creating. Until then, I carry the dust, the energy, and the transformation within me.

In dust we trust. ✨💫 2025-09-01 10:42:34 Burning .. 510 -6% 28 -38%
Off to one of the true wonders of the world, the most extraordinary place on the planet: Burning Man. It’s not just a music festival, it’s a celebration of creativity, community, and human potential. It is a lifestyle practice. A full reset. A mirror. A test.

Every year, we create the third largest city in Nevada, from nothing just people, art, dust, and intention. Out of nothing, we create everything. One week later, we leave without a trace. Everything disappears, but somehow, you leave changed.

It’s hard to explain what Burning Man really is. Elon Musk once famously said: “Burning Man is Silicon Valley.” And “If you’ve never been to Burning Man, you just don’t get it.”

The culture of creativity, challenging the impossible, of giving, of radical self-expression, and it’s not just for a bunch of dusty people in costumes. It’s shaped companies, technologies, and movements that run the world today.

This is exactly the kind of “Silicon Valley” Elon Musk talks about, where the most talented entrepreneurs are shaping our lives every day by creating better technology for all of us.

Fun fact: the first Google Doodle, on 30 August 1998, was actually an out-of-office message. Sergey and Larry added the Burning Man logo (see the 4th picture) to let people know they were at the festival. Back then, Google still had an exclamation mark like Yahoo! and affiliated with Stanford University where they were doing their PhD. A week after they returned from the playa, Google was officially incorporated. A giant is born and the rest is history.

The Ten Principles of Burning Man like radical inclusion, civic responsibility, immediacy, and participation aren’t just for the desert. They can shape how you run your life, your business, and even your society. The person you have been following here, yours truly, over the years has built a lot of burning man in his personality

So yep, I’m heading to Black Rock City again.

Not just for the music.

For the practice.
For the challenge.
For the reminder.

I lost my job.

In 2015, I received a letter that changed the course of my life. I was being let go from what I thought was my dream job, just six months after joining.

It was a shock. I had done everything right. I had completed a PhD with high-impact publications in the most prestigious journals in the field. I held three issued U.S. patents, and I had finally landed a role I had worked for years to get. After all the sacrifices, the long nights in the lab, the ambition and drive to reach the top, I thought I had made it.

But the reality hit hard. One decision from someone in a corporate office, I was out. I quickly realized how fragile success in the corporate world can be. You can be highly educated, motivated, and accomplished, and still be at the mercy of decisions made in boardrooms far away, by people who have no idea who you are or what you’ve done.

At the time, it felt like a failure. I was lost, confused, and honestly, angry. But now, looking back, it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

That letter forced me to re-evaluate everything. I started learning about the stock market. I opened a trading account. I studied, I failed, I learned, I kept going. I slowly began building a life that was entirely mine, not one handed to me by a company, but one I created from scratch.

Now, years later, I’m a full-time trader. I travel the world, I climb some of the biggest mountains on the planet, and I work on my own terms. I live the life I used to dream about not because everything went according to plan, but because it didn’t.

That letter is still pinned up on the wall of my office. Not as a reminder of rejection, but as a symbol of redirection.

Life rarely unfolds the way we expect it to. But sometimes, the biggest setbacks are really just setups for a better path. As Steve Jobs once said, you can’t connect the dots looking forward, only when you look back do the pieces come together.

If you’re going through something hard right now, trust that it might be leading you to something better. Sometimes, the worst day of your life can be the first step toward your best one.

Trail running isn’t just about the distance or the elevation, it’s really about the connection between your body and your mind. When you’re out there, deep in the forest, every step forces you to be present. You feel the burn in your legs, your heart pounding, but there’s also this strange calm. Like your mind finds peace while your body is being pushed to its edge.

I just finished one of the toughest trail races in North Vancouver, and it reminded me again why I love this. The challenge is real, but there’s a kind of freedom in it too. No noise, no distractions just you, the trail, and whatever’s going on inside your head. It’s painful, but it’s healing at the same time.

Just finished a trail run!

35 km with 2,500 meters of climbing in North Vancouver, and damn, this one felt tough. I’ve been pretty unhealthy recently, and honestly, it showed out there. My legs were questioning all my life choices by kilometer 20, and by kilometer 30 they were filing an official complaint.

But that’s exactly why I wanted to do it. To see if old Andrew is still in there somewhere. To push myself and see how far I’ve slipped, and more importantly, how far I can climb back. I’ve run trails all over the world from Nepal to Patagonia to the Alps but I haven’t done many races right here in Vancouver. Today reminded me how amazing these local mountains are… and how much they demand from you.

For me now it’s time to recover, rebuild, and get back to longer distances the right way. If you’ve been feeling off your game lately, don’t wait for the “perfect time.” Just start. Even if it hurts, even if it’s ugly you’ll surprise yourself with what you can do.

See you out there. And if you hear someone laughing and groaning at the same time on the trail that’s probably me. And don’t just say hi, challenge me by racing me to the next tree or see who can power‑hike that steep section faster.

Keep moving, physically and mentally. 2025-07-27 05:30:05 .. 498 -8% 32 -29%

Right now I’m in Southern Spain and Portugal, running through places like Albufeira, Faro, and Lagos. It’s wild how everywhere you go feels like a scene out of National Geographic. No crowds, no noise, just cliffs, ocean, empty trails, and open space.

Southern Portugal, especially the Algarve region, is known for its dramatic coastlines, hidden beaches, and little whitewashed villages. It’s also famous for some of the best seafood in Europe and the warm Atlantic breeze that makes every run feel fresh.
