Visited this popular cafe located in Saltlake Sector 1 - Calcutta 64. It was a packed sunday evening and the cafe was buzzing with people hanging out and enjoying their food. The interiors of the place was beautifully decorated with lights, wall art, books, artifacts - overall a very cozy vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks as well. I must say, I have not had a better Chicken Steak than the one served here, in a long time! Definitely worth visiting! Recently visited the Hoichoi Cafe located near Chatterjeehat area. This is a small cafe but nicely decorated and serves various kind of dishes at an affordable price. We tried two types of tea which were great. The Fish N Chips contained two fish fries with french fries. While their was not much of a difference in taste, the amount of fish was pretty decent. Although the coating could have been thinner. In search of Authentic Jhol Momo in Kolkata, I visited The Gangtok Kitchen, located in Middleton Street. I tried the Chicken Sadeko at first. This tangy chicken salad type dish was decent for me, nothing special. However, when I tried the much awaited Jhol Momo, I felt a warmth and cozyness attached with this dish. The jhol was not just the typical streetside soup, but a proper gravy made with peanut and soyabeans. Visited this popular South Kolkata Street Food stall - Shankar Cabin. They are serving various chop, telebhaja and other fried snacks such as Fish Batter Fry, Chicken Pakoda, Fish Fry, Chicken Spring Roll etc. Although there is a mixed reaction on social media about their food, I wanted to try it first hand and share my experience. However, the Fish Batter Fry I had, was not bad at all. It had decent amount of fish filling and overall a good taste.
