Have you ever arrived at your destination ready to start your family trip, only to realize that you might need to re-plan?

I’ve been there. Even if you think you have everything under control, things can happen. It happened when a hotel forgot to arrange a pickup from the airport in Austria, or when I booked for the wrong dates in Singapore over Christmas 🥴

This is why I recommend holafly_esim as it had us covered. Without any extra hassle, I was able to quickly check what other hotels are available and book them straight away. It also helped me catch up on work emails in the car once the crisis was averted, so once we arrived at the hotel, I could focus on the kids and enjoy it with them 😉

See link in my bio to check it out and get it set up for your next trip.

Traveling to India with kids might sound like a crazy idea, but it was a wonderful trip and surprisingly easy when it came to logistics.

Indian hospitality is fantastic and everyone was very kind to the kids (3 & 5 years old). People would bring them balloons or birds to play with at restaurants and give them little menus. Seriously, our biggest worry was a cow blocking the path to the taxi 😍

If you’re looking for more tips google “anna everywhere india” or my post will come up - or just use link in bio to find my blog :)

Culture shocks in the US 🇺🇸

Even after a good couple of years in the USA some things will never not be weird to me. On the other handX other things grew on me and currently having a little reverse culture shock after moving back to Europe. Probably why I’m too American to Europeans and too European to Americans 😛

There are probably many more I didn’t think about - anyone wants to add something? 🤓😉 2025-09-10 19:52:21 Cultur.. 1,677 -67% 148 -72%
Incredible Lego playspot in Krakow, Poland - it’s called Ale Klocki aleklocki 🙂

We all love Lego (myself included 🤓) and was pleasantly surprised that on top of imaginative play and sets to build they also had robotics.

We spent almost 3 hours there and the kids didn’t want to leave. It was all very well thought of making it a relaxing experience for the parents as well. 10/10 ⭐️

This theme park has the most roller coasters in Europe! Yet, you rarely hear about it - it’s Energylandia in Poland!

The park has 19 roller coasters, starting from some mild ones to some of the scariest and fasters that even I didn’t dare to ride.

Both kids, 4 & 6yos, were able to try a number of roller coasters and while I was a but worried that it might not be as entertaining since kids were young, there was plenty to do even for toddlers as there was a giant toddler sections that still entertained both of my kids.

Prices and quality of food was very reasonable, and honestly we definitely had to drag both kids out when the park was closing and promise we’ll visit again soon 🤓

Mine and Dylan’s favorite coaster was RMF Dragon, Holden said the bat one, and Matt thought Hyperion was the most fun. 2025-09-08 23:15:15 This theme par.. 380 -92% 11 -98%
KYRGYZSTAN WITH KIDS? Families definitely don’t pick it very often, but I think it’s a great place for a unique adventure.

We explored the markets and playgrounds of Bishkek, swam in Issyk Kul lake, rode horses in the mountains, slept in a yurt, hiked through spectacular canyons, learned archery, and met eagle hunters.

It was my first more adventurous solo trip with both kiddos and I’m already planning some more solo trips like that one, because it seems like we had fun… Ironically, the biggest challenge was dealing with people asking “how are you traveling solo with both of them?!”.

Tantrums can happen anywhere, would rather deal with them on a horse or while befriending an eagle 😉🤓 2025-09-07 04:05:07 KYRGYZS.. 476 -91% 12 -98%
Is this the best carousel in the world?
It’s called Le Manège Magique and it’s in Grand Bornand in France, about 40 minutes from Annecy.

There are various fun things to do in this area with kids (and without, as there are many beautiful hiking trails).

👉 Comment “ANNECY333” to get my blog post on the best day trips from Annecy (I live in Annecy, so have many recommendations!) 🇫🇷

Spent more time in Poland this year and a few things definitely caught me by surprise and felt like a reverse culture shock in Poland 🇵🇱

For the record, I was born and raised in Poland, but have never lived there as an adult and only recently started visiting for longer trips.

Honestly, I’m pretty stunned how international, modern, safe and nice Poland has become in the last decade. I’m guessing a lot of people will tell me not to advertise this, but I’d totally move back one day… 😉

Our new friend Lori the lemur comes to get her breakfast at our terrace in Nosy Komba. She basically decided to live at the lodge and it’s more of a free ranging pet now as she comes to everyone for cuddles whenever she wants😍

She did poop on our laundry afterwards though, but I guess she was kind enough not to do it on me 😅

Visiting Madagascar with kids? Nosy Be in Madagascar is pretty kids-friendly, with abundance of wildlife: we met lemurs, played with snakes and tortoises, snorkeled with many turtles and octopus 🙃

Worldschooling doesn’t have to mean unschooling. Learning can happen through travel and kids can definitely learn more by having hands-on experiences…

However, while we like the school environment and traveling in-between breaks, I think when more and more schools and countries make the rules stricter for taking kids out for a week at the time (for any reason), the more people will consider deregistering from the system all together :/ 2025-08-08 20:51:45 Worldschooling doesn’.. 33 -99% 0 -100%
5 Amusement parks we enjoyed more than Disney 🤯

Cheaper, less lines and having to pre-plan everything let us enjoy these parks much more than we did Disney.

Don’t get me wrong, we still had fun at Disney but I felt like it was overpriced and with so much preparation required it made me enjoy the time I spent there less… and the kids actually did they’d rather go to different parks next time 🤷‍♀️ 2025-08-08 01:36:09 5 Amuse.. 5,845 +16% 87 -83%
Playing with penguins on the beach? Just one hour from Cape Town in South Africa you’ll find Boulders Beach where you can hang out with penguins! 🐧

It’s also one of the best beaches to hang out with kids, penguins or not (but swimming among penguins definitely adds to the experience), because so many popular beaches in the area like Clifton can be very windy 🤓

German playgrounds are built with a philosophy that encourages children to learn how to manage risks.

It’s believed that if kids improve their motor skills on the playground early on, they will suffer fewer accidents when they get older.

Parents always seem divided on that one… but I feel like it’s not just playgrounds in Germany these days, but more of US vs Europe thing. I see risky playgrounds popping up in France, Poland, Netherlands, Sweden or Czechia, while US ones are all secure with ramps and safe slow slides.

I honestly love it… and while it can be stressful at first, in the long term it’s more relaxing for the parent too knowing that you don’t need to freak out that your child will not know how to assess the risk, return when lost and so on… 🤷‍♀️

P.S. For those heading to Europa Park, the spiral slide is something else. Dylan said it was painful, Matt said he tried and never wants to do it again 🤣🤭 2025-07-25 19:14:35 .. 28,335 +461% 753 +45%
Paragliding over the lake is one of the top things to do in Annecy, but many people aren’t aware that the minimum age is actually only 3 years old. As long as the child is willing to fly and can follow simple instructions 😉

Highly recommend doing to if you’re visiting Annecy with kids🪂

Thinking of going in a safari with toddlers? 🐘🦒🦏🦓🦛

The biggest misconceptions are that kids are the kids aren’t allowed, it requires a lot of prep and worrying about safety and most importantly that it has to cost crazy amount of money.

Kids are not allowed on walking safaris and Okavango Delta requires 6+ (even if it didn’t sitting on a tiny boat might not be the best idea) and some other lodges might require private vehicles, but that it’s not a problem at most spots.

Most importantly, safaris don’t have to be expensive! Many places make it seem that way, because lodges can range from $50 to $5000 a night!

I’ve done a few budget safaris and saw just as much as when I paid more 😉, and to give you even a better example: you can get a full day of activities seeing animals everywhere with lunch at Chobe in Botswana for $100 pp (kids 50% or free depending on the age) and you can easily book a lodge for less than any hotel in Europe or US 😉 Last time we went to an amusement park we spent more on lunch and small souvenir, not to mention the tickets 🫣

If you need help planning your safari (or any other trips!) I now offer travel planning consults and can help you plan your itinerary and clear your doubts. Comment “TRAVELCALL” to see what can I do for you 😺

We came for the swans, but stayed for nutrias and pigeons 😜

Nutria isn’t a beaver or rat. It’s a rodent from South America that’s been brought to Europe in the XIXth century for fur and meat… but it’s been a few years since they multiplied a bit too much and took over the river banks.

People either love or hate them, but either way I can say that all the animals near the water banks in Prague are overly friendly… some people were feeding them with their mouth 😳

Now the kids want to pet every pigeon they see and get bummed that normal pigeons aren’t cuddly 😜 2025-07-13 02:08:39 We.. 525 -90% 12 -98%
We moved to France almost 6 months ago already, but it feels like forever! 🤯

We learned a lot in the process, navigated million things I didn’t expect, and got surprised by so many things (moving with kids takes much more energy than when it’s just you or couple). And there were a few occasions that I was ready to pack up and leave already…

I was a bit worried how we’re going to keep up their French for the summer, but they’re beginning to speak to each other in French sometimes (and I had to translate something into French for Holden today to make him get it🫣).

P.S. Is this normal that the end of a school year in France is just like any other day? It caught me off guard there was no recital, no parents invited, nothing, just bye and have fun in the summer 🤷‍♀️

The Stress-Free Way to Start Your Paris Adventure is to have your bags picked up at the airport and having them delivered later to your hotel or AirBnB a few hours later.

That way, you don’t need to stress about bigger shuttles, drag suitcases up the stairs of public transport and simply enjoy your first day before check-in.

luggagent is a luggage delivery service that’s now available in Paris. You can book it online and have your bags delivered anywhere in Paris (or even to Disneyland!). It’s a fantastic solution for families with little kids who need to bring more luggage.
