I’m definitely a summer person, but when it comes to fashion, autumn is my favorite. The crisp air calls for layering, and this season’s colors are just gorgeous — deep green, brown, and burgundy. 🍂 What’s your favorite season for fashion?

This entire first look is from essentielantwerp but I’m not entirely sure about the skirt, so I’d personally go for the Bellow jeans from my own shop instead. Obsessed about the 🦓 boots though. The bag is from demellierlondon and I love it.

Lipstick is the Queen Christina that Gucci discontinued.

✨ Fashion tip: When layering in autumn, play with different textures — think wool, silk, denim, or leather. Even in earthy tones, mixing fabrics adds instant depth and makes your outfit feel polished.

One of my favorite humans in the whole world is celebrating today. 🎈

When we first started dating (see photo 2), Martin was 38 and I was 33. It feels like a lifetime ago. Honestly, most birthdays have blurred together—except the big ones like 40 and 50—but what I do remember is that with every passing year, every transition, we’ve stood side by side. Grateful to witness them all, grateful for our family expansion, our beautiful son and our sweet dog-daughter, and grateful to keep moving forward—living life, together, sometimes apart but always in parallel—building on a foundation that may shake at times, but still stands strong.

Here’s to another 56 years with this wonderful man.

Happy birthday, darling. I love you. ❤️

Please confirm that I’m not alone in this. I need to hear it today.

In return, I want to reassure you that what you’re feeling is completely normal—and that you’re allowed to feel exactly the way you do.

Perimenopause is no picnic, but I promise there’s light at the other end of the tunnel.

Keep going—you’re not alone in this. We’re in it together.

In a world where you can be anything,
choose to be caring.
Choose to be kind — to listen with empathy,
to walk gently with respect.
Choose to be loving, to smile,
to carry warmth wherever you go.
London opened its arms to me with kindness,
and in its embrace I was reminded,
once again, of the quiet beauty
woven into the sacred act of sisterhood.

An afternoon in London, through my eyes 👀 and don’t miss Dayenne’s feed for her take on the very same afternoon dayennebekker

We love putting these little moments together; the last time was in Paris, the city of love, and now it’s London’s turn. Two perspectives, side by side, in just a few quick slides.

I always love a power suit, today’s is from essentielantwerp paired with a vintage crisp white D&G shirt and a tie.

On my feet merceramsterdam sneakers (🩶), topped with an andotherstories coat. Dayenne looks radiant in a faux-leather twin set from andotherstories with boots from stevemaddeneu that give the perfect edge.

But what makes today truly special isn’t just the outfits or the city, it’s the company. We’re here in London to meet a group of wonderful women for lunch, and my heart is full.

Grateful for fashion, for travel, and most of all, for connection.

My hair definitely needed a little pick-me-up after the summer, and there’s really nothing better than the Healing Herbs by noelie.organicbeauty to do that right at home. When schedules are too busy to fit in a hairdresser appointment, being able to treat my hair myself is such a lifesaver.

The Healing Herbs by Noelie are 100% natural plant hair colours, vegan, made in Germany and completely safe to use. They come in a variety of beautiful shades, so there’s something for everyone. They envelop the hair protectively and keep it healthy, without causing scalp irritation. They are even suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women, allergy sufferers, and women dealing with hormonal issues.

What makes Noelie so special is that it’s a truly organic luxury brand - all of their haircare products are crafted with clean and certified ingredients, blending the power of nature with innovative formulations. No nasties, just effective, gentle care that really transforms your hair. It’s why all of Noelie’s products have become absolute favorites here.

I would recommend that you seek advice from the plant hair color experts regarding the correct application and choice of shades. You can send a WhatsApp message to them!

What a blessing it is that you can edit a video and slap some music over it—because the conversations we have while filming are absolutely not fit for human ears. 🤣

Once again, I’m eagerly looking forward to the endless stream of bizarre comments that usually pile up under our videos.

And no—Martin is not blinking twice for help. He’s fine. I’m fine. We’re all fine. Hahaha.

Gosh, I love social media! 😆

And I loooove americanvintage_officiel for some of the gems I’m wearing today—like the skirt, the trousers, and even M’s whole outfit. 🫶 The jacket’s from last year, sunglasses elisajohnson.co, scarf + striped bag from my own shop. I love a bit of added humor. Fashion doesn’t have to be just beautiful, comfortable, or expressive—it can also be a lot of fun. As you already know, I’m obsessed with prints. While I love wearing good basics (my new

AndBloom sweater finally arrived!), I really enjoy mixing them with colorful pieces—like my new Adidas sneakers 🤩 (so happy with them!), a quirky bag, and a bright scarf. Add a pair of glasses (I turned my old Céline sunglasses into reading glasses), and I’m ready to go!

Wear whatever you want and add some fun to it!

A few months ago, I shared my story here about the complicated relationship I have with my father. What struck me most was how many women are going through similar experiences, yet because it’s not something we often talk about (and honestly, when does this topic just “randomly” come up in conversation?), it can feel incredibly isolating.

You might even start to believe you’re one of the few dealing with it. So I was both shocked and deeply moved by the number of women who responded, saying they too carry similar struggles with a parent–child bond.

After writing that post, and as I turned 50, I decided to reach out to my father one more time, to see if anything remained of that father–daughter connection. What I found was simply a blood tie—and sadly, nothing more. That’s not surprising, of course, after years of distance, unspoken pain, and unresolved feelings.

But here’s the beautiful part: I am so grateful to be at a stage in life where I can choose me. Where I know what nourishes me and what doesn’t. Yes, it can still hurt. Yes, it can still be hard to accept that something you longed for just isn’t there. But sometimes I ask myself: if it was never truly there to begin with, what is it that I’m really missing? Often, it’s just the illusion, the picture-perfect father–daughter story we see in movies or imagine in our minds. And while for some that picture is real (lucky you ❤️), I also know it’s not always as flawless as it seems.

What I do have is something just as precious: people in my life who are deeply meaningful—some I was given, others I’ve chosen—and all of them dear to me. I often tell Finn, “Your grandpa is a chosen grandpa, and you couldn’t wish for a kinder one.” And in that, I hope to teach him this truth: love is something we can choose, but it can never be forced.

I am a big girl now… and you are never alone. ❤️ 2025-09-21 17:54:08 .. 6,806 -27% 482 +19%
Can we take a moment to talk about this dress, please? ✨

Yesterday, over lunch in Paris, I had the honor of connecting with yet another incredible group of women — some from France, but also from Belgium, the USA, Scotland, and Poland. 💫

Once again, it reminded me that no matter where we come from, likeminded women always share the same language — the language of the heart. ❤️

I’m so thankful for the laughter, the stories, and the genuine bonds we created. Moments like these make me feel both humbled and inspired.

Sharing a few snapshots from this beautiful day with my mom and my sister from another mister — two women who make my heart so full. 💕

Fashion is so personal, and it should always be personal. Some people love oversized fits, others prefer it tight.

Some go all out with colors, while others lean toward natural tones.

As for me? I like it all, depending on my mood.

Today, I’m feeling like comfy basics in soft materials… and this rusty brown gorgeous sweater? I’m never taking it off! 🧡

All from the beautiful Dutch brand 10dayslifestyle, a female-run fashion brand that truly rocks.

Happy Friday, ladies, almost the weekend ! ✨

Your opinion of me is none of my business, and it’s highly appreciated if you keep it to yourself. 😂

Sometimes I feel secondhand embarrassment reading the comments on Instagram.

Occasionally under my own posts, but even more often under someone else’s.

And I can’t help but think: Why?

Such a typical example of small-minded people.

Because when you’re open to the world, you appreciate the uniqueness of others.

You learn from what they do — and you can decide whether it’s something for you or not.

For open-minded people, there’s room for everyone.

You can be fully yourself without being judged.

There’s no need to scream with words just to hurt someone for being different.

And socially intelligent people don’t blurt out ugly words — they keep their opinions to themselves.

It’s almost autumn and rain boot weather… although I think summer might return for just a little bit at the end of the week, today it really felt like autumn. There’s nothing nicer than the change of seasons, but I already miss summer.
I’m also feeling tired all the time lately and keep having a sore throat — so strange. I wonder if it’s a sign of something. Today is a local holiday here for us, and we’re going to spend the day at an amusement park — always fun with no lines. Hopefully it stays dry.

A little reintroduction… ✨
Welcome to my beloved pink room, my absolute favorite space in the house. Pink walls, pink ceiling, pink doors, and window frames… it’s a dreamy pink haven, and honestly, I could live here forever. Nothing more required. 💗

I’m planning to give her a fresh coat of pink paint soon (of course 💕) and then redecorate a bit. I’ve already made a start with this gorgeous freifrau_manufaktur designed by maryamkeyhani a hat designer I’ve been following for a few years now, isn’t it fa-bu-lousssssss?! 😍

I am wearing my blue skirt from colourstory_studio and the rest is random from my closet or shop.

When like-minded women come together, something magical happens.

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking with some truly incredible women, unbelievable in their strength,
beautiful in their presence, powerful in their truth, and endlessly inspiring in the way they show up.

There were moments where I just paused and thought: what a gift it is, to be surrounded by women like this.

There were times in my life when I ached for this, for this kind of connection. For women who see you, hear you, lift you, without judgment and without competition.

I know what it’s like to feel lonely, even lost. To long for a circle that holds you gently and believes in your becoming.
Now I understand the power of even the smallest gesture, a moment of empathy, a hand on your shoulder, a quiet “me too.”

It doesn’t take much to empower another woman.
It begins with presence. With softness. With listening.
With showing up fully in your own light
and allowing her to do the same.

Be the woman who empowers others
and watch how empowered you become in return.

I hope to see you in Paris next Saturday. 🥰 2025-09-15 11:08:52 When like-mind.. 7,127 -23% 428 +5%
It doesn’t always have to be complicated or over the top —
sometimes simplicity is the nicest way to go. 🍂

These are my current favs for this autumn:
grey basic tee, black easy jeans, a few simple pieces of jewelry.

Can’t go without a classic trench and a good pair of (very needed) readers.
Adding a little bit of spice with the leopard bags. 🐆✨

Lately, I’ve been choosing simplicity more often than not.

Maybe that will change again, and if not, that’s perfectly fine too.

Yesterday in Düsseldorf was magical. ✨

I’ll be sharing some moments from yesterday in my stories today.

The best thing about moving my workplace out of the house is that I’ve finally gotten my home back.

Those who’ve been following me for years will remember the renovation in 2022/2023. We bought an old house from 1907 and lovingly restored it to its original charm. After that — and probably because there was suddenly so much space — my little business began to grow and grow inside our home. What started as a fun thing ended up becoming serious business.

Over the past year, I also shot all the photos for The Guide here, stored all the items from my online shop here, and slowly built a small team around me… all working under one roof. It reached a point where it became too much — and honestly, it no longer felt like home at all. And while working from home can be wonderful, if you’re not careful, it slowly turns into living at work — and that’s simply not healthy.

So I made the decision to move everything out.

And now… peace has returned.

The best part is that I can finally reclaim the two rooms I had turned into workspaces, and simply enjoy them again. Interior design has always been a huge passion of mine, and I’ve missed having the time and headspace to focus on it.

I’m also so excited to start creating more interior content again. The very first thing I bought for my new front room is this adorable lamp from fatboy_original called Little Lebow.

Next week, I’ll finally share my pink room again. I can’t wait! 💗 2025-09-13 11:25:00 .. 5,838 -37% 159 -61%

Sometimes, while scrolling endlessly through my overflowing photo archive (and inevitably not finding what I was actually looking for), I stumble upon images that stir memories I didn’t know I needed.

These self-portraits are from 2019, some of the very first I took for AndBloom.

Back then, I had just made the decision to show more of myself through selfies. It was the beginning of a deep and personal journey to rediscover my identity and my voice. I remember how awkward it felt at times. Now, that awkwardness has mostly faded… 😂 and that voice? I think I’ve found it.

While working on my new book, I often wrote down questions for myself. One was: What strange things do you do regularly?

One of my answers was: I uncomfortably like to step out of my comfort zone.

Because old habits won’t open new doors. And you’re never too old, or too late, to try something new.

In 2019, I took self-portraits using a tripod and a timer. These days, I usually reach for my phone, quicker, easier, less fuss. But looking at these portraits now, I wonder if it’s time to return to the old self-timer setup… and maybe even grow my hair out again.

These photos come with my favourite quote, and alongside them are the very first two Bloomer portraits: my mother, and Willemijn, the women who gently convinced me to keep going with this project I called AndBloom. 2025-09-10 11:14:20 Sometime.. 12,204 +32% 328 -19%
Just thinking about how so many people are watching, yet so few are actually supporting. 😂

Before I started this account, I had no idea just how much work, time, and energy goes into creating content. And I come from the media world! Preparing, shooting, and editing a fashion editorial was always a huge effort, but this… this is something else.

And all for a few views each day—most from people who never even tap “like.”

That’s why I make it a point to scroll through my feed every day and show some love to all the amazing women posting beautiful content. A ❤️ or a 🌸 takes a second, because I know how much heart goes into every post. It feels strange to just watch without engaging—do you know what I mean? Or is it just me?

Anyway, just know that I see you, I appreciate you, and when I do, you’ll get a big thumbs up 👍🏼 and three ❤️ from me. Keep going! Never stop!

And don’t forget to support your favorite content creators! Just a like or maybe a ❤️ is enough. You’ll make their day.
