COMMENT “VIDEO148” 🎥 The “niche” advice floating around right now is confusing as fuckkkkkkkk 🫠

“You need to niche down!”
“Actually, you ARE the niche!”
“No wait, do this other thing!”

Here’s what I actually think...

Yes, you need some sort of focus. But not for the reasons everyone’s telling you. 🤔

Most of that advice is written for content creators and influencers who ARE the product they’re selling.

But you’re a business owner. You solve problems. You provide services. That’s different.

If you want people to remember you, hire you, and refer you, you need to make it stupidly simple for them to understand what you do.

👉 Not because algorithms demand it.
👉 Not because some expert said so.
👉 Because human brains work by categorizing things quickly.

When someone asks “what do you do?” there should be a clear, simple answer.

If people have to pause and think, your positioning needs work.

✅ You can still be multi-passionate.
✅ You can still offer multiple services.
✅ But lead with your strongest suit. The thing you want to be known for.

Becoming known for one thing actually gives you MORE freedom, not less.

Once people understand your superpower, they’ll follow you anywhere.

But you have to earn that first.

What do you want to be known for?

If you can’t answer that in one sentence, your audience can’t either.

And that’s where the work begins. 2025-09-03 20:36:41 .. 38 -64% 6 -71%
Between the influencers who share their breakups... and the corporate accounts who share absolutely nothing personal... it’s hard to figure out exactly how much to share on social media as a business owner.

I used to swing between oversharing everything and being a complete corporate robot.

Neither felt right, and both left me feeling drained.

Then I started thinking about content in three zones:

The Lighthearted Zone 💖 Your everyday stories, funny moments, behind-the-scenes content that feels easy to share. Yes, this includes your coffee order and the technology fail that ruined your morning. It’s the stuff that shows your personality without feeling heavy.

The Vulnerability Zone 💛 Business struggles, lessons you’ve learned the hard way, challenges that create connection points with your audience. This requires more thought, but can help you build deeper relationships with the right people.

The Protected Zone ❤️‍🩹 Your hard boundaries. Deep personal issues, family details, anything that involves other people’s privacy, or could compromise your safety. This stuff stays private, and that’s completely valid.

Most of my content lives in zones one and two, with clear lines around zone three.

The key isn’t finding the “perfect” amount to share. It’s finding what feels sustainable and authentic for YOU.

Your boundaries are personal and valid, no matter where you land on this spectrum.

COMMENT “VIDEO147” 🎥 and I will send you the link for this week’s YouTube video!

Everyone has an opinion about what you should share online.

Some say be as vulnerable as possible. Others say keep it professional.

Some say show your personality. Others say stick to business only.

If you’re wondering what’s actually right for you… there’s no magic formula.

Most of us get stuck thinking we have to choose between two extremes.

Either share everything like it’s a diary on the internet, or become a corporate robot with zero personality.

The sweet spot is somewhere in the middle.

👉 You can be authentic without oversharing.

👉 You can show your personality without documenting every moment of your life.

👉 You can connect with your audience without sacrificing your privacy or energy.

A therapist will share differently than a wedding photographer.

A B2B consultant has different boundaries than a life coach.

Your approach should align with your values, protect your energy, and serve your audience.

The goal isn’t to become more vulnerable or more polished.

It’s to find what feels sustainable and genuine for YOU.

Your boundaries are valid whether you’re naturally private or an open book.

You don’t owe anyone access to every part of your life to build a successful business. 2025-08-27 20:23:45 .. 24 -77% 0 -100%
Posting 7 times a day doesn’t make you consistent. It makes you busy.

I hammer the same message about sustainable content strategies everywhere I go.

Social media, emails, podcasts… same core message, different formats.

And that’s exactly the point.

If you’re constantly switching up your messaging, chasing new topics every week, or trying to cover everything under the sun, you’re not building consistency. You’re building confusion.

True consistency isn’t about posting frequency.

It’s about message frequency.

Your audience needs to hear your core message repeatedly, in different ways, until it finally clicks.

That’s how you build authority.

That’s how you become known for something specific. 2025-08-26 19:56:31 P.. 44 -58% 1 -95%
Marketing won’t solve all your business problems. And I’m tired of pretending it will. 🫠

Story time: In college, I worked with a logistics company trying to break into the Mexican market. My group created this gorgeous, comprehensive marketing strategy that should’ve gotten us an A+.

Then we threw the whole thing away.

Why?

Because they had ZERO Spanish-language materials.

❌ No bilingual salespeople.
❌ No Spanish customer service.

They wanted to market to Spanish-speaking customers... in English only. 🙃

No amount of brilliant marketing was going to fix that fundamental business issue.

Fast forward to today, and I see small business owners making similar mistakes:

→ Thinking more content will fix a pricing problem

→ Blaming “low engagement” when they’re talking to the wrong audience

→ Creating endless posts when their offer isn’t even clear

Your “content isn’t working” problem might not be a content problem at all.

Before you create another post, ask yourself…

Is this actually a marketing issue, or is there something deeper in my business that needs attention first?

Because sometimes the best marketing strategy is fixing your business operations before you try to market them. 2025-08-25 20:05:28 .. 36 -66% 3 -86%

I used to be that person who spent HOURS creating content just to use it once and move on to the next thing. What a fucking waste. 🫠

Now I use my 3 Rs framework and one piece of content can easily turn into 10+ pieces across different platforms. No joke.

👉 Repost: Use the exact same content multiple times. Most of your followers never saw it the first time anyway, and your best stuff deserves more than one shot.

👉 Reuse: Take existing content and make small tweaks. Change the visuals, update the examples, or adapt it for a different platform. Same message, fresh presentation.

👉 Repurpose: Transform one piece of content into something completely new. Turn video clips into carousels, blog posts into scripts, long content into bite-sized pieces.

This isn’t about being lazy. It’s about being smart.

Your content has way more life left in it than you think.

One good idea can feed your content calendar for weeks if you know how to work it properly.

The goal isn’t to create more content. It’s to make the content you already create work harder for you.

Just be consistent” is the most useless advice without context.

Consistent with what? How often? In what way? 🙃

I used to think consistency meant posting a million times every single day.

I’d torture myself trying to keep up with some arbitrary schedule that made me want to throw my phone out the window.

Then I realized something: consistency isn’t about frequency.

It’s about finding what actually works for YOU and sticking with it.

My consistency looks like showing up once a month to batch 4-5 YouTube videos. Then I repurpose that into 20-30 pieces of content across every platform.

Same core message, different formats. That’s consistency.

Your version might look completely different.

👉 Maybe you thrive on daily creation.
👉 Maybe you prefer weekly deep dives.
👉 Maybe you work best with spontaneous content bursts.

The key is designing something that works with your energy levels, your workflow, your life, and your business goals.

Not some cookie-cutter formula that works for someone else.

❌ Stop copying other people’s posting schedules.
❌ Stop forcing content formats you hate.
❌ Stop measuring your success against someone else’s definition of consistency.

My relationship with social media is… complicated.

And I’m tired of pretending it’s not.

These platforms have literally changed my life:

👉 Built my entire career in an industry I used to hate
👉 Connected me with a community I never knew I needed
👉 Gave me access to healing resources that transformed my sobriety journey
👉 Educated me about the world in ways traditional media never could

But let’s be real… social media is also inherently fucked up at its core.

The algorithms mess with our mental health. The tech bros making decisions don’t give a shit about us. The whole system is designed to keep us addicted and scrolling.

Both of these things can be true at once.

I’m not here to tell you social media is all sunshine and rainbows because most of the time, these platforms are problematic as fuck.

But the connections?
The education?
The opportunities?

Those have been real and powerful.

So my approach now is to use these tools as intentionally as possible while staying critical of the systems they’re built on.

It’s messy. It’s complicated. And that’s okay. 2025-08-19 18:14:21 .. 84 -20% 4 -81%
COMMENT “VIDEO145” 🎥 and I will DM you the link to the full tutorial on how to use getpoppyai

I’ve been using Poppy AI for a bit now and it’s completely changed how I approach content creation. Wanna know why it’s different?

✨ Visual workspace - You can drag and drop everything (brand guidelines, past content, voice recordings, websites) into one board

✨ Multiple AI models - Switch between Claude (my go-to for content), ChatGPT (better for research), and others depending on what you need

✨ Brand memory - It actually learns your voice, tone, and style from everything you feed it since it all lives in one central “board”

✨ Connection magic - Link all your inputs to the AI chat so it pulls from your entire brand ecosystem

I can upload a YouTube transcript, connect it to my brand guidelines, and generate 30+ pieces of repurposed content that feel authentic and on-brand.

❌ No more generic ChatGPT outputs that sound like everyone else.

❌ No more starting from scratch with prompts every single time.

✅ This tool remembers who I am, how I talk, and what my audience needs.

It’s like having a content assistant who’s been studying my brand for months and can create in my voice across every platform.

This for anyone who’s tired of AI output that sounds like... well, AI.

COMMENT “VIDEO145” 🎥 and I will DM you the link to the full tutorial! (this is a JUICY one)

I don’t create 30+ original posts every week… that would be absolutely impossible.

Instead, I use strategic repurposing to turn ONE piece of content into 30+ social posts…

Here’s my exact process:

✨ Create one hero piece (YouTube video, podcast, blog post)
✨ Upload it to my AI tool with brand guidelines
✨ Generate platform-specific content in batches
✨ Refine everything to add my voice and insights

I can create 30+ posts in about 4-5 hours total instead of the 15+ hours a week I used to spend starting from scratch every single day.

This isn’t about replacing creativity or using AI to do all the work for you.

It’s about working smarter so you can focus your energy on the parts of your business you actually love.

The AI system gives me a starting point. A formula. A layout to work from.

Then I add my expertise, my personality, and my unique insights.

❌ No more staring at blank screens at 9 PM wondering what to post tomorrow.
❌ No more Sunday night content panic.
❌ No more burning out from the endless content treadmill.
❌ No bullshit AI garbage since I built the system in a strategic way

10 years. 3,650 days. A fuck ton of trial and error.

Here’s what nobody tells you about content creation when you’re starting out…most of the “rules” are bullshit.

I’ve spent a decade figuring out what actually works vs. what sounds good in theory.

I’ve chased algorithms, burned myself out trying to be perfect, and wasted countless hours on content that went nowhere.

These 10 lessons?

They’re the difference between spinning your wheels and actually building a business through content.

Some of these might piss you off. Good. The truth usually does.

Because while everyone else is telling you to hustle harder, post more, and chase the latest trend, I’m here to tell you there’s a better way.

Swipe through if you’re ready to stop playing by everyone else’s rules and start creating content that actually serves your business (and your sanity).

I've been thinking about why so many of us feel like we are failing on social media lately… 🙃

And I think it comes down to one tiny letter that's been messing with our heads for years.

The letter 2025-08-05 19:10:23 .. 143 +36% 14 -33%
I've been tracking my own social media habits for months now, and it's honestly been eye-opening.

My screen time data tells a story that I think a lot of us can relate to.

👀 Most of my consumption happens on TikTok, not Instagram.

🤳 And when I am on Instagram, I'm usually just quickly scanning through stories or checking DMs.

💬 I'm still seeing content from accounts I follow. I'm just not stopping to like, comment, or share like I used to.

And if someone like me, who literally works in social media, is consuming content this way... imagine what your audience is doing.

They're probably seeing your posts while they're walking to pick up their kids, or during a quick bathroom break, or while they're waiting in line somewhere.

They're consuming on the go, not sitting down for intentional engagement sessions.

The data doesn't lie.

Views are still there, but interactions are way down across the board. And it's not because content is getting worse or strategies are failing.

It's because we're all just living our lives differently now.

So the next time you post something and it gets 200 views but only 12 likes, remember that those 200 people still saw what you had to say.

👏 And 200 people is a LOT of fucking people. 👏

The impact is still happening. It just doesn't look the same as it has in the past. 2025-07-18 18:40:24 .. 152 +44% 26 +25%

Digital organization is a pain in the ass, let’s just be real about it.

As much as I love keeping things organized, and my Type-A Virgo ass LOVES it… it can be overwhelming to know exactly where to start!

So let’s break it down into a few steps first:

1️⃣ Build a system today, use it tomorrow. I don’t need you to retroactively organize every single little thing. Set up the system and use it moving forward, it will be a LOT less overwhelming this way

2️⃣ Use the same structure across ALL your tools. Your brain will love the consistency of it all when you go hunting for the file that you need no matter the software

3️⃣ Name each main folder with a number structure, and don’t be afraid of using subfolders within each

So now let’s get into my folder structure! You can mimic this, but don’t be afraid to customize it to your business:

📁 01. OPERATIONS - this is anything related to the admin side of my business

📁 02. BRAND ASSETS - anything I use to maintain my brand appearance on and offline

📁 03. CONTENT CREATION - this is my most used folder, since I create a LOT of content online

📁 04. PRODUCTS - assets for all the products I create

📁 05. SERVICES - assets for all the services I provide

📁 06. RESOURCES - these are assets that I have downloaded or purchased that help me run my business, or templates I use, or supplemental education

📁 07. ARCHIVE - I don’t like to “trash” things, instead I archive things I may want to access in the future, but don’t need access to on a day to day basis

After 8 months of trying to make repurposed YouTube content work on TikTok, I'm finally throwing in the towel. 🙃

The strategy worked everywhere else. But TikTok? Crickets.

😞 My growth stagnated.
📉 My analytics flatlined.
🫩 And honestly, I stopped having fun creating for that platform.

So I'm going back to what actually worked for me on TikTok in the beginning: raw, real, in-the-moment videos.

❌ No fancy camera.
❌ No post-production.

Just me, the app, and whatever's on my mind.

I'll batch 5-7 videos once a week, share them throughout the week, and use the download feature to repurpose the good ones elsewhere.

The goal was to save time, but the trade-off was stagnation. And right now, I'd rather put in a little more effort and see actual growth.

Sometimes the experiment doesn't work out. And that's okay. The data told me everything I needed to know.
