oh you thought it was a phase???

One Direction will always have my heart, and visiting niallhoran’s hometown brought back so much nostalgia 🥹

If you’re a fellow Directioner visiting Ireland, you absolutely have to make a pit stop in Mullingar!!!

📍 SAVE THIS POST for all the Niall-related activities

• See the Niall shrine at the Greville Arms Hotel and sign the guest book with a message for Niall

• Take a picture with the Niall mural

• Head to Clarke’s Bar (let them know you’re a fan) and they’ll lead you to a special section of the bar dedicated to Niall. You can sign another guest book here and take tons of photos. They’ll make sure you’re in good hands! 2025-05-28 03:38:59 .. 0 -100% 5 -29%

happy one year anniversary to me beginning my digital nomad journey 🥳 from hiking Machu Picchu to having a European summer to ending it all on a new continent and country (australiaaaa👀), it was a period of my life I’ll never forget!

with those highs came a few lows, though, and it’s important to know about them if this is a lifestyle you’re thinking of trying out!

I’m so happy to be creating a better balance with travel now and am lovingggg my new home 🥹

my ability to work from anywhere is something I’ll always be thankful for and always take advantage of, but doing it as a lifestyle isn’t a long-term solution for me lol 😂

so, cheers to this experience I was able to have and cheers to having a home base again that i am absolutely lovinggg!!! 🥂 2025-04-08 02:26:28 .. 43 +75% 5 -29%

I instantly blank when someone asks me this question and just say “idk I just like to do fun unique things” 😅

When travel is your hobby, it’s hard to find others that fill that void when you’re in between trips, but moving to Tampa has definitely been a game changer for me with tons of fun events and themed outings! From taking pilates classes in a disco bar (shoutout discolates!!!) to playing pickleball on a pier to having the cutest galentines sunset event on the beach, I never get bored 🫶🏼

in summary, 2024 felt like a year of organized chaos, self-indulgence (because who would say no to gelato everyday in Europe??), bravery, and living outside my comfort zone since 9 months of my year were spent with no definite home base. what i’m looking forward to in 2025 is self-discipline, routineeee, and new beginnings in my new home that I’ve dreamt of moving to for years!!!! so excited to take my remaining things out of storage and begin the rest of my life in my dream city! 🥹 God’s timing once again proved to be better than mine with that January 1st move-in date 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 2024-12-27 06:46:05 .. 0 -100% 3 -58%

I was reminded of this just yesterday 🥹

I’ve spent the majority of my early 20s going on solo trips and have met amazing people!

As I’m getting a little older, I’m still wanting to continue traveling solo but want to mix in more trips with friends because I love sharing those memories with people in my life. Sometimes it just matters who you’re with, you know? I’ve checked amazing places off of my bucket list, but I also want to do it with people who stick around in my life.

I’ve realized that my closest travel friendships have come from group trips that I’ve gone solo on! It’s fun going in knowing nobody but having a group of people around you the whole week experiencing the same things. You grow so close and make such fun memories together.

So I’ll be prioritizing this type of solo travel moving forward alongside planned trips with friends. But I still have one more grand solo trip I’m embarking on this Thanksgiving that I planned all by myself. 👀

It’s been so interesting to watch my travel preferences evolve and to stay connected with people I’ve met all around the world! 🌎

If you have ever taken a solo trip, no matter how big or small, just know I am so proud of you for taking that leap! 🫶🏼

Sincerely,
A Girl Who Never Thought She Could Travel Solo

Within the past few months, I’ve been finding myself crying at things that never would’ve made me cry before. Before you grow concerned, please know this is something I’m actually really happy about lol. For years and years, I was responsible for catering to and managing other people’s emotions, stuffing mine down so I could be the one to hold everything and everyone together. My environment taught me that my emotions didn’t matter, and I became numb to everything that was happening around me, unbeknownst to others. I let my negative emotions build up, resulting in what you could describe as a quarterly breakdown, when everything would finally catch up to me and I’d allow myself the luxury of crying for 20 minutes or so, only for the cycle to continue. I’ve made plenty of mistakes throughout my healing journey, but I must be doing something right, because I’ve recently found I’ve gotten to a place where I no longer feel the weight of bearing the responsibility for another human being’s emotions. Instead, I’ve been able to feel MY emotions again, good and bad, and it’s taken me by surprise. I now find myself breaking into tears at the opening scene of The Golden Bachelorette or holding back sobs as a couple shares their first dance on DWTS again after overcoming a traumatic brain injury. The girl who used to brag about not crying during movies has now found a healthier way to empathize. The girl who thought it was impressive that she didn’t cry much now loves a good cry. And man it feels good not to be so numb anymore.

p.s. I cried a little while writing this. weird flex? 💗🫶🏼 2024-10-22 05:51:35 .. 0 -100% 9 +27%

The end of August came too soon this year, but I’m so thankful for the summer I was able to have 🥹🥹 spending the majority of my summer in Europe is something I’ve always dreamt of doing, and I’m so happy I could accomplish it this year!!!

Cheers to doing things solo, embracing the uncomfortableness of being alone in other cultures, and finding a new appreciation for home and routine in the process 🥂
