Welcome to Churchill 🤍 the polar bear capital of the world, Churchill in northern Canada is the most unique & remote destination I’ve ever visited. it’s a small, humble town accessible only by rail or plane, with something you don’t find in most places - a large population of polar bears. in October & November each year, the polar bears gather around the shore of the Hudson Bay, waiting for the ice to freeze. they wander around the town (sometimes causing trouble!) as they patiently wait to head out on the ice to find food after a few long months of fasting. they’ll stay out in the Bay until the following spring when the ice begins to melt again. while they wait, you’ll find the bears roaming the tundra, frolicking on the broken ice, snoozing on the rocks or scoping out the icy shoreline. you might even spot a few arctic foxes & snowy owls hanging around too. I visited this special place 5 years ago, shortly after my brother Paul died. my heart was broken & I was a shell of myself, but I knew this trip would be deeply sacred & something I just had to do. being in the presence of these magnificent bears gave me so much strength & courage. somehow, they manage to survive & thrive in the harshest of conditions & overcome the odds of survival that are stacked against them. if they could do it, so could I. my tundra tours & trip was organised with frontiersnorth. they do great research with polarbearsinternational & they have a lodge out on the tundra that you can stay in for prime bear watching as well as tundra tours. this footage is so special for me & I’m grateful to have experienced all of these beautiful moments, at a time in my life when I needed it most ♥️ Is Churchill on your bucket list? 📍 Churchill, Manitoba travelmanitoba 2025-09-23 21:30:36 Wel.. 180 -12% 34 -87%

best friends since day 1 ♥️ I don’t think longevity in a relationship requires you to be the perfect partner. it’s not about never making mistakes or being everything to each other. & it’s not just about having love…it’s being willing to put in the hard work too, every single day. marriage doesn’t mean you need to stop trying - in my opinion, its the opposite. it’s showing up for each other when needed. it’s self-reflecting & creating space for you both to grow & become new versions of yourself. it’s having respect & kindness. it’s learning from mistakes and owning them. it’s digging deep - sometimes facing parts of yourself that you don’t want to face. it’s dropping the ego when you need to & learning how to communicate openly. it’s understanding your love languages. it’s being able to stand as your own person. it’s recognising and honouring your own needs while also tending to theirs. & it’s keeping your love soft, going on dates & having fun & not taking what you have for granted. & it’s being there for each other when sh*t hits the fan because often, that’s when you need your teammate to show up the most. it’s *wanting* to be with each other, out of desire rather than a need. & it’s choosing to be with that person every single day & putting in the work to keep being better versions of you together & as individuals. a moment for the dress ✨ I must have tried on at least 40-50 wedding dresses in the run up to our wedding & to this day i’m so happy with my choice. I wanted something romantic, elegant, sexy & flattering & I feel like this ticked all the boxes. funnily enough, I ended up going with one of the first dresses I tried on - deep down I sort of knew it was the one, but I needed to see if there was a better one for me & safe to say I fully milked the “waltzing around in pretty dresses” stage of wedding planning 😂 my goal with my dress was to feel like myself & I can honestly say it’s the most “me” I’ve ever felt. I did my own makeup (best decision), kept my hair loose & made sure my dress fit like a glove (thanks to my amazing tailor). if I gave one piece of advice to other brides it would be that - to go with a dress/hair/makeup/choices that make you feel your best & most confident self, rather than what you’re expected to or feel you “should” go for. it’s your day, after all! these Jimmy Choo Avelines were *made* for a dress like this - can’t say I’ve worn them too much since but they were worth it for this day. oh & heel disks were a saviour especially walking on grass & hiking up the cliffs & they kept the shoes pristine. my tailor cut fabric for my veil (it cost $50) & changed part of the underlining of the dress so it fit my skin tone. this wasn’t a custom dress to start with but ended up becoming one & I loved that.
