I’m releasing a suuuuper limited run of cassette tapes of the soundscape I made for toast’s autumn winter collection, ‘The Curious Mind’! Available to pre-order via my bandcamp now (link in bio). Last Friday, I spent the evening at Summer Sounds at coaldropsyard in King’s Cross (kingscrossn1c), which is celebrating its 10th year. They’ve got an amazing range of music over the next week, all for free - including jazz, folk, indie, opera and more. If you’re in London, why not check it out! It’s on until Sunday 17th August. Earlier this year, I spent a lot of time in the King’s Cross area, collecting field recordings of the urban nature and interviews with the people who look after it as part of my sound installation at kingsplacelondon. It was lovely to be back in summer, experiencing the buzzing atmosphere around the festival. A lovely trip to Gloucestershire with alicevincentwrites and camilla_greenwell to record the nightingales Nightingales are one of the UK’s most endangered songbirds due to habitat loss. rspb Highnam Woods is one location where they are preserving the habitat to ensure nightingales can keep migrating back each year.
