Everyone used to say “it goes so quickly when they’re little” and when you’re in the thick of it as a new mum, sleep-deprived and just trying to get through the day, you can’t really see it. We only just made it on holiday after a last-minute passport mishap 🤦‍♀️✈️ and it was so lovely to finally meet up with the other two for some much-needed family sunshine. I dropped the ball, big time We were meant to be landing on our family holiday right now. But yesterday morning I realised my son’s passport would expire while we were away. Deeply unflattering I know, but I has to share as i’m stilling crying laughing at it! So let me explain why I look like an unhinged clown 🤡 So… I put on red lipstick this morning to lift my mood (because it usually works). Then completely forgot I was wearing it. Did the school run, errands, went to the storage unit, loaded the car, sweated buckets at the recycling centre, asked staff where things went etc (god knows if this has already happened), waved at a neighbour as I arrived home and unloaded the car… Then spent next few hours tidying unpacking etc, sweating buckets in this heat 💦 At 2pm I opened the door to my mum, who just looked at me and said: “What have you done to your face?” This was the first time I saw myself.
