I remember when I asked calcey.life , my development team to bring the CHALLENGES feature to life in the alexcrockford.app , and I never imagined it would be as awesome as it became, both for the community but also for me as the programme creator.

Simply removing things from your diet that you shouldn’t be eating can often lead to failure because it feels restrictive and you get hungry!

Most people make a mistake by going into a ‘diet’ mindset by eating less food without replacing it with any good food.

Instead, just try to eat more of the right food. If you aim for 30 different plants in a week -fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds etc, real, natural, healthy food - this will improve your physical health, mental health and your body as a whole!

And a great side effect is you feel more satisfied and you MIGHT start eating less of the things you shouldn’t be having automatically! 😜 

Let’s change that by eating more and feeling and looking awesome!

I’m feeling grateful ☺️🙏

Recently, I’ve been getting out more (lol 🤣) - building the business and working from home sometimes means I don’t much! BUT because I’ve been out and about, I’ve been meeting more of you in person and I love it!!!

Sounds silly I know, but my work is entirely only with alexcrockford.app etc.

But this video is one example of a beautiful moment of synchronicity, I was waiting at Waterloo station eating a wrap and listening to this amazing music! (ninomad1) So I decided to tip him and then he stopped me and said he followed me! So it was a great moment of exchange that wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t follow a strong impulse in the moment. 

I also met some people this past weekend at CarFest who explained that I hand truly impacted their lives with my content… 🥹🙏

I see this in comments, but hearing it from you, and hugging you is so real, and so powerful. 

So, I’m incredibly grateful that I am on my path, living my purpose and that you’re here with me 😄

Stop asking for forearm workouts… 😁💪

I still get some of you asking for forearm exercises, and whilst there may be some specific cases for some athletes or rehab requirements that require forearm exercises - in most cases we don’t need them!

Our forearms get all the stimulation they need in a well balanced and thought out training programme. 

And besides, since most of us are time deprived, we need to do exercises that give us most benefits rather than focus on unnecessary isolation exercises. 

So make sure you have reverse grip bicep exercises like this one. Not to mention all of the grip exercises such as full back workouts, deadlifts, farmer carries etc, which will all help develop the forearms too.

This weekend I ran a Breathe & Move class at CarFest festival who have a SpaFest / wellness area - carfestevent 😄🙏💙

Since I work entirely online with my alexcrockford.app , doing any in person events is really special for me. 

To feel the energy of the room and the people who took the time to join me. It really makes a difference! Also, to have some of my family with me, and my son next to me. Wow 🥹. It’s important for me to show him the way, so he knows mindfulness is a normal and natural practice for us 💙

My intention & design of the session was to help them feel calm in mind & body, yet strong and energised for the day ahead! 

I merged breathwork techniques and embodiment practices to bring this all together and I think it went really well!

I know I’ve been saying it for some time but I will be making this part of my work more available on YouTube & my app soon, but I had consciously decided to practice this in person (events & retreats) so that I feel ready to hit record on the camera for you online ☺️

Either way, it’s really beautiful work and I’m so grateful that I have clarity in my vision and purpose - bringing fitness, body, mind & spirit together. For the wellbeing of you, and for all.

What if.

This cycle in the GymFit2 12 week plan is during week 6 and it’s called the mid programme smash!

ATHENS 🇬🇷💙

It has been a long term dream to visit Athens and feel the energy of Ancient Greece and the heart of their empire! 

Yes it was HOT and yes we did our best to keep Toby as cool as possible and out of the Sun, but wow it was worth the trip! 

Maybe I have passed lives here (I need to check 😜 ) but I feel a connection to the history, the mythology, the stories, the people, the philosophy, the frequency!

A part of me knows the mythology is not fiction, but aspects of truth carried through time that have survived multiple civilisations, preserved to reach us today. 

It was difficult putting on my learning hat with the chaos of being with the family, however it has sparked a deeper interest for me to take my knowledge further now that I have visited in person.

FITFAM on HOLIDAY! 💪🌴☀️😅🇬🇷 

The last ones are so funny 🤭

Workouts continue whilst I’m away, and for two weeks in Greece it was fun being joined by my family for the daily sessions!

We did the HomeBuild plan in the alexcrockford.app which helped me continue building muscle with no equipment! 

Although I did take my bands and add in some band work on the pulling exercises. 

We also did the stretch & yoga plan sessions on the rest days in between. 

AND our villa was at the top of a 15 minute steep hill! So everyday was leg day 😂 pushing a pram with 10 month Toby in it haha!…

So now I’m back home and excited to continue the GymFit2 plan! 

Honestly, having plans to follow, even if for short periods of time, is so useful for me to maintain structure and motivation, and ofcourse results!
