- My #1 advice to brides is to hire your photographer for the night before festivities. Because while thank you notes feel like such a (necessary) formality, this extra effort made them so much more enjoyable to write, and extra special for our guests. 💕 📝 IMPORTANT notes about this project: Make sure to ASK your photographer in advance to capture as many guest photos as possible during cocktail hour and the reception 📷 (and the night before if you can swing it!) Design your notes in Canva and use VistaPrint to print them. It’s way cheaper than Minted, and they offer pre-addressed envelopes which I highly recommend! VistaPrint also has pre-made plug-and-play designs or you could use Minted or Pinterest for design inspo. ✂️ Make sure your thank you cards and envelopes are 4x6 or larger or you’ll have to trim your photos like I did. 🫣 Sort through our photos and upload all of the best ones of our guests to print (I used Walgreens). We got lucky and almost every single guest was in at least one photo. Adjust the print quantity to however many people were in the photo. And check for any discount codes!! I got my order 50% off by using a the CapitalOne Chrome plug-in code search! Organizing these is the hardest part, but I just laid out all of the envelopes in groups (a row of my friends, row of my fam, row of his friends, etc.) ✉️ and added the photos to their respective envelopes. You will most likely need to pay for a little extra postage 📬 so keep a separate pile of envelopes with more than 2-3 photos in them and have the post office quickly weigh those. I had to add 28 cent stamps to a few! Then, sit back and enjoy all of the texts you’ll get when your guests open their thank you notes and are reminded of their amazing time at your wedding 🥰🥰 #diywedding #weddingtips #thankyounoteinspo #weddinghack #weddingideas #diybride #2024bride #2025bride #weddingphotography
- Soooo I’ve been keeping a secret from you guys 🥹 a sweet baby girl is joining us in August!!! 💕🎀 It’s been a crazy 21 weeks filled with excitement, nerves, a new home, a few trips, and of course, the six weeks of debilitating morning (aka 24/7) sickness that I’m trying to erase from my memory. At first this news felt like it was going to change everything, but now that I’m settled into it, I’ve never felt more like myself (aside from physically 😅👀) than I have the last two months. Maybe it was the fact that I barely left the house from weeks 6-12 because I was so nauseous and tired I couldn’t function? Maybe it’s the not drinking? But mostly I think it’s because I’m so excited to step into this new chapter as mama 👶🏼 our life as DINKs was fun, but I couldn’t ignore the feeling that something was missing. And now I seriously tear up every time I think about JB becoming a girl dad (partially blaming the hormones for that) 🥹 I feel like I’ve been lurking in the shadows of IG because I really didn’t know how I wanted to show up here anymore. 😅 I still teach yoga and love health/wellness, but it’s no longer my biggest passion. I still enjoy exploring Tampa but it looks a lot different now. And most importantly, I still want to share all of the things with you guys. So now that the cat’s out of the bag and I’m not hiding this bump, you can expect to see a bit more of me - mostly in the form of daily life, new home DIYs/organization, baby prep, and a little bit of everything! Love y’all, mean it! 🩵
- First trimester diaries… it was the best of times, until it was (quickly) the worst of times 😅🤢 1. First appointment and ultrasound, we were so happy to see the little jumping bean (only pic out of order) 2. Breakfast at chef_andthebaker where their guava cronut became one of my cravings 3. Announcing the first grandchild to our families on Christmas 🎄 4. Festive mocktails, when I quickly learned that 99% of mocktails are not worth my time or the grams of sugar. 5. Birthday blueberry oatmeal pancakes at my fav, pinkystampa 6. Getting outside to try to beat the onset of morning sickness that decided to show up on my birthday (rude) 7. The urbanstillhousestpete birthday dinner where I cried because nothing on the menu sounded good except for dessert and scalloped potatoes 8-11. The four couch-ridden weeks where I lived in these cozy sets from Amazon, craved mandarin oranges and lived off English muffins. Bandit was quite pleased to have a couch buddy who could never finish a meal or snack. 12. The only thing that made me feel better: a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with lemonade from CFA. Spent almost $70 there one week according to my Rocketmoney app 😂 13. Could not stomach mint toothpaste without gagging, so I tried this kind which somehow was worse? 14. Started to feel better for a few hours a day and get out of the house, hence starting my tour de non-alcoholic beers and this one is still my favorite 14. Woke up one day during week 11 and miraculously felt normal, started to get my personality back. Not going to lie, my nausea was reactivated just looking back through these photos 😅 no one could have prepared me for how ROUGH and miserable this season was. And NO, eating a *ginger chew* didn’t do shit. I barely saw any friends or left the house, and was a shell of a human. Like, why don’t we talk about how borderline depressing and isolating this time period is? I’m so grateful that it did indeed go away like everyone promised it would, but when you’re in it, it’s hard to see the light. If you’re in the trenches, I see you and I’m here for ya 🤍 #babyonboard #firsttrimester #firsttrimesterproblems #morningsickness
