![Welcome to Paris #RH ! 🇫🇷🎉🍾
This Thursday, I celebrated with my friends from American design brand RH the opening of their stunning new flagship Gallery on the Champs Elysées ! The result was nothing short of breathtaking and tremendous success for the visionary behind the brand, Gary Friedman !
RH is currently still a bit of a mystery, especially for Europeans: Born originally in the late 1970s as a traditional mid-market American furniture company, Restoration Hardware, it underwent a complete transformation under the leadership of Gary 12 years ago, turning it into $ 8 billion high-end design powerhouse with annual sales of $ 3-4 billion !
Style wise, it combines the best of all worlds, mixing design influences from Italy, France & other countries with a relaxed Californian vibe, resulting in understated yet very chic interiors that stand the test of time (I have been a client for more than a decade) ! However, it’s the innovative sales approach that sets RH apart from everybody else: Instead of mere shops, it operates inspiring galleries in the chicest locations around the globe such as NYC, West Palm Beach or the English countryside that feel like extremely elegant private homes in which one can not only immerse oneself in great design but also drink, eat and sometimes even stay ! This total experience is carried even further with 2 private jets and a yacht on which I hosted Monaco Grand Prix parties over the past 2 years in a row !
Now, after 7 years of planning & 3 years of work, the RH Paris Gallery was unveiled this Thursday with an incredible, star-studded party, followed by the official opening on Friday to which I invited some dear friends for lunch into Le Jardin, one of the 3 excellent restaurants & bars on the rooftop stories overlooking Paris !
From the world’s most legendary bartenders (Colin & Alessandro), Hollywood royalty and some of the biggest movers & shakers from around the globe, it felt like a happy family reunion and was certainly one of the most memorable events in recent history !

![The perfect day… 🐴🐶🍾🙏 As everybody here probably knows, I am an avid polo fan and ex-player, having picked up my first mallet almost 30 years ago and played in Zurich, Munich, the UK & Argentina before life interfered, first when I acquired sothebysrealty.france (and the workload that came with it), then when my knees gave out after a lifetime of fencing, boxing and polo playing, eventually resulting in a double knee replacement ! So with all that, I haven’t been near a polo field for far too long, and when my dear friend Valentino spontaneously invited me to a friendly game at one of the world’s most spectacular private polo fields, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse… 🙏🐴🐎🙏

![Boat day… 🚤🌊☀️ The Kraft pack had a blast on a very special boat that is seriously tempting me: a jcraftboats Torpedo !
From afar, it looks like a Riva, a Chris Craft or any other classic runabout… but when you get closer, you start to to see the differences: This stunningly beautiful boat is simply in a league of its own: Just 25 of those exist in the entire world, every single one takes more than 8000 hours to be custom built in Sweden and has rather mind - blowing specifications: 42 ft (12+ m.) in length, with 2 Volvo engines totaling 1200 hp, a top speed of 50 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots - one can easily reach Portofino from Monaco in just 3 hours (or less), and might even make a trip to the Balearics if so inclined ! You don’t want to try that in any other tender… 😂
