Today was a huge accomplishment for me! So happy to be able to bring my mother back to the Laguna Sawdust Art festival and be able to walk around and see all the art. Last time I tried bringing her here, just 6 weeks ago, I got hit by some guy going atleast 60 mph, ((T-Boned)) at a red light and not only didn’t make it, but suffered a broken leg, emergency surgery, and 6 weeks of suffering. I decided to go back and instead of allowing the association of such a beautiful event, with wonderful people, to be a source of pain for me. I wanted to break that association and form new associations with it and that’s what we are doing!! In life, it’s important not only to face your fears, but to not allow the past, whether how painful it may have been, dictate your present or your future! Feel so good to get out of the house and be able to move around. Almost 3 weeks laying around and not being able to do the normal things in life, really made me appreciate those things. You shouldn’t have to take accidents, sickness, losing loved ones, or other tragedies to make you appreciate things. Unfortunately it’s human behavior take for granted, until we don’t have them. Make sure to count your blessings every day. Make you appreciate everyone in your life. Make sure to take care of your health. Make sure just to be appreciate your life! Definitely not the Dream Summer that I envisioned for 2025! But, when life throws the lemons, you make lemonade. Life threw a black suv going 60mph right into my side out of nowhere! I’m trying to find somehow still the beauty in all of it. I was supposed to be training in Seattle with the Olympic Team, to run in my age group for the masters in 18mths. Big Coach Mike is my friend and he gifted me my training. What a mensch! I was hoping to go to burning man and Europe next month. Unfortunately, the universe had another plan for me this summer. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade. I’m doing the best I can to keep my chin up. I’m living with my mother who is 88 years old with dementia and it’s pretty bad. Every five seconds I have to repeat myself. She has outburst and panic attack attacks every morning, and I can’t sleep and have to console her all throughout the day. All while, I’m in pain and can barely walk. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! “Life’s gonna knock you down a lot, as Sky Stallone said in his movie Balboa. But it’s not about how many times you get knocked down. It’s about how many times you can get knocked down and still get up and keep moving!!! I’m gonna keep moving! Nothing can stop me. I’m lucky to be alive!!! so even though I’m in pain, and have to have surgery and have a metal rod put in my thigh… and I probably lost my car if the guy doesn’t have insurance because mine lapse. I’m happy to be alive! I’m grateful that I wasn’t hurt more. I never thought I’d make a post like this. I’ve never had a broken bone in my body. 57 years I’ve made it until now. i’m in an incredible amount of pain right now and was going to Seattle Washington next week to start training for the Olympics. The coach for the United States track and field team is a friend of mine and gifted me a training package for 18 months! I was going to run in my age group 55 to 59, The Masters division, in the Olympics, representing the United States 2027. I’ve been really excited and looking forward to this to start training and now I’m not sure if I’m gonna be able do it. Some guy out of the blue ran a red light and smashed into my door at an intersection going atleast 40-50 mph I was just taking my mother to the art festival. The worst part is that my mother‘s caregiver didn’t show up to work this weekend and I was supposed to be in Los Angeles. My mother’s dementia has gotten worse and she needs somebody to be with her at all times. I been with her now for two months. Even though most of the time she’s confused and doesn’t know what’s going on, Its been really nice to be able to take the time to comfort her and console her. Even though she wakes me up at all hours of the night in the morning, having panic attacks, confused and scared, its nice to feel that I can be of such service to the woman who brought me into this world and and have always supported me and been there for me my entire life. So, going to Europe this summer and hanging out with friends in Los Angeles, or being able to enjoy my Tulumvillas in Todos Santos or Tulum The car was totally smashed in on my side and I couldn’t move my leg. I always choose to look at things In a positive way. It could’ve been a lot worse. I could’ve been seriously injured, paralyzed, or killed! The guy was going at least 4050 miles an hour head on right into my driver door. The Femer bone, the largest in your body is completely broken in half! Most importantly, my mother is OK. Her neck is hurting her, and she’s being checked right now with the CAT scan. Such a wonderful feeling to finally accomplish what has been a 4-year journey in finding my beautiful, extraordinary, amazing, mother, her final Dream home in California. Today, is a great day! It’s Mother’s Day, and I have the best mom in the world! I couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative to have had this woman as my mother forever 57 years of my life. She is 87 years old, her name is Joan Tucker, and she is a rockstar! She’s my rockstar, she raised two little boys in NYC from 1968-1973, then on her own a few years in New Jersey from 1975 to 1980, in a beautiful star shaped glass house in the woods, on 4 acres, in Piscataway, NJ! Who is the most incredible home and a fairytale house for me to grow up in. Then we moved to Maplewood New Jersey, 77 Collingwood Rd., and she met the man of her dreams after being single for four years and driving 2 1/2 hours every day each way to work to support her two children from New Jersey to Connecticut for a sales job at Xerox corporation. This woman worked her ass off, and I barely ever saw between eight years old and 12 years old and I learned how to cook for myself clean up after myself and take care of myself, while she worked eight hours a day and drove five hours a day back-and forth to raise two little boys. I have mad respect for this woman! She retired 10 yrs ago and lived in our beautiful beach home in Mommouth beach New Jersey, and then Morristown, until four years ago. I finally decided to move her out to Laguna Niguel, California, so I could keep an eye over her and spend more time with this lady, which I was never able to do for 40 years, because I was busy making a life of my own. I’m so happy to say now, that I get to spend a lot of time with my beautiful mother. She, sometimes, feels a little alone, especially after her best friend and emotional support animal, Max , just passed on. I just wanna make sure that she gets all the love and care that she deserves!!!!! ;))) Until I introduce her to her next boyfriend !!! 😂 😂 all I wanna do in this world is make sure that my mother is happy and is leading a good life, enjoying her existence on earth. Reflecting today on my life. What a life it’s been;) I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful life, so many incredible friends, a great loving and supporting family, and most support of all myself! I love my life, that I’ve worked very hard to design and create. I love my family, who I’ve always supported has always supported me, which I have an amazing close friendship and relationship with. I love all my friends, who are all doing, so many interesting and amazing things, who have also supported me and loved me all along my journey. I live every day to the fullest!!!, with open eyes, open ears, with and an open heart. I feel so wise and experienced, and I’ve learned so much in my life. I wanna teach! I want to inspire others! I want to educate and help children and the youth. I’m also smart enough to know that I still have a lot to learn. So, I’m also a student. I’m learning so much from the youth, from my piers, and from everyone I come into contact with. All I wanna do is inspire, positively impact, love, support, and help others to tap intp their full potential and achieve their dreams. I’m looking forward to each and every day growing, expanding, enjoying, creating and achieving as much as I can!!! All I wanna do is help others, create beautiful things for the world to enjoy, and possibly impact and change this world in whatever way I can. This world is so beautiful and so incredible!!! But, there’s also a lot of people that are suffering and it’s not fair that I get to have this incredible life and so many others and there are people suffering all over the world.
