![🚀 Battle of the V4's - Which would you take home?
Myself and beyour_ownhero swapped each other's bikes and reviewed them. Video dropping this weekend on Youtube!
You'd maybe expect 2 Italian bikes of a similar engine displacement of 1100cc and V4 engine type would similar right?
Here is why they don't:
Ducati's V4 uses a twin pulse crank which fires cylinders in pairs. This gives it a deep rumble.
The counter-rotating crank on the Panigale adds that unique growl.
The dry clutch on the V4 SP gives it that metallic “clatter” at idle, which sounds to me like a construction site or a]()

![So I always rave about how much I love my H2 & how it's an iconic engineering marvel. But what do I actually NOT like about it?
❌ Fuel guzzler - around 12mpg
❌ High insurance premiums (thankfully mine covered by bikesure )
❌ Turning circle of a cargo ship - I just do the awkward paddle walk shuffle of shame.
❌ Very little storage - tail fits a fart 💨
❌ Expensive parts
❌ Uncomfortable for long rides
❌ High maintenance costs - tyres, sprocket/chain, brake pads wear out faster
❌ On the heavier side - Not as agile in corners compared to lighter supersports
❌ Terrible commuter (heat, heavy clutch, weight)
❌ Intimidating power delivery - absolutely not for the faint hearted
❌ Not ideal for UK roads ie. rough roads / pot holes / gravel due to stiff suspension, expensive parts at risk etc..
❌ Easily wheelies unintentionally
❌ Not ideal in rain or poor road conditions - immense power will overwhelm grip
❌ Throttle is twitchy & requires precise control]()

What a weekend at Women In Moto 2025.
What did YOU enjoy the most?
Day 1: I had the joy of hosting a panel with ride_with_poppy , sarahdenniscoaching and Laura from womenonlymotorcycle_training . It was great to interview female britisharmyxtra soldiers. Finally a quick overview of kayotic__k 's Silvia which was featured in Fast and Furious!.
Day 2: Started day on the maxupwheeliemachine , then a content creation workshop, an insightful quick fire interview with the incredible mariacostellombe and finally an overview of queen_boc 's gorgeous E39.
