2026 charity calendar available now to pre-order ❤️ Yet again in love with how this calendar has turned out and its crazy to think this is now the 6th year of it 🥰 Pictures snapped by me (and Nala) put together by katking__ and with artist kellyulrichartist again adding her lovely hand drawn illustrations for each month, its turned out to be a beauty. Went a bit quiet on here recently and just basically burnt myself out a bit 🫠 Being back on the bike I've found it quite hard to get into a nice rhythm again with everything. The cycling and travelling is the easy part, but its trying to keep on top of everything else that is the tricky part and as soon as you fall behind on 1 thing it all quickly builds up. I feel its my own fault though as in the nice summer days i would cycle late into the evening, then try and edit and work through the night until 3-4am. (Im having big issues with the macbook atm and videos are taking longer and longer to edit) I would then be woken up around 5am because a certain someone would be looking for breakfast and a walk 👉🏼🐈 We've also got quite alot going on at the minute with the new website, charity and calendar all about to launch so our plans now are to slow it right down, clear our feet and get these out the door before we set off on the bike again. We're in Basel at the minute, beautiful little city and we love the place. Hot hot hot 🥵 We will need to change our routine about if we get more hot days like today, which will mean waking up earlier and cycling before it heats up because today was just even more toasting than yesterday. We set off quite late which didnt help and not long into our journey Nala wanted off the bike for the toilet, im glad she done this as we ended up chilling in the trees and long grass all afternoon hiding from the sun ☀️ Then out the blue a scooter went past us and we heard the name Nala getting shouted out. A follower had spotted us and pulled over to say hi and invited us to her house to get out of the sun and spend the night. 🌳🌳🌳 It was a hot hot day today and during the middle part of the day we found some trees to take shelter in and hide from the sun ☀️🥵 i was ready to call it a day and spend the night in the trees until esterstarmans sent us a message inviting us to hers so we jumped back on the bike and off we went. 22 miles done today which took us into the city Zoetermeer. All day we were expecting rain but it turned out to be a beautiful day for cycling with the wind at our backs and only the odd small shower. Cycled 20 miles yesterday which is more than i had planned to start with and having been off the bike for quite a while my legs and arse were feeling it this morning when we woke up. My fitness is way down at the minute but its something that will pick up with time and im not wanting to push it too hard at the start. So we booked in for another night at the campsite and ditched all our gear in the tent and went to check out the town Noordwijkerhout. So what are our plans.... Getting alot of messages at the minute asking where we are heading and the goal is still to get to Thailand 🇹🇭 We dont really have a time frame so going to cycle slowly through Europe towards Nalas home country Bosnia and from there we will head down to Greece checking out a few countries we havent visited yet. Once there we will head to Turkey and make a decision what route to take from there. An option we are looking at but missed out on last time is the silk road as we mistimed it and its impassible over the winter months. Annnnd.... we are off ❤️ While my mum takes our bike and all our gear down to the ferry in the car we get to drive Nessie down to Newcastle where she will be put in storage for the forseeable future.
